We have been here twice and my daughter has never been contaminated. Their gf pizza is bigger than other pizza places and the crust tasty. We always gets the gf cheese sticks which are great. Today we also got the gf cinnamon sticks. Would recommend.

I spoke to the manager and they said if you are a celiac or sensitive to gluten then they did not recommend you use their place. Said cross contamination was high. I appreciate their honesty. This was for Fayetteville and PTC.

Pizza and garlic bread, which is really just a garlic infused white pizza, taste great. Cooked on a disposable aluminum pan so it doesn’t get contaminated on the bottom. They also have baked GF chicken fingers. The only risk of contamination is flour in the air. We have not gotten sick from eating here.

The direction of affiliate marketing in Dodo Pizza was launched a year ago. We tried different formats, approaches and gradually increased the number of launched projects. All processes were clearly built, the schemes worked out, everything went like clockwork. But the coronavirus crisis has made adjustments to our life plans, throwing us problems and real challenges.

During the pandemic, federal marketing budgets dropped to almost zero, and we were no longer able to work with the usual advertising formats. However, this situation did not become a reason to stop marketing, on the contrary, it made it possible to develop and create new partner areas. What came of it, read the article.

Sampling as a new direction

Sampling is a way to promote a brand through the free distribution of samples or gifts from partners under certain conditions of purchase. To be honest, before we didn’t even pay attention to this direction, and it seemed to us that sampling is when a client receives a free, but unnecessary product.

Thanks to the corona crisis and the restrictions that have appeared, we were able to look at the situation from a different perspective, and also use it as an opportunity for collaborations with a number of companies. It turned out that there are companies and products that perfectly complement pizza moments, that you can work with this and launch full-fledged advertising campaigns with value for the client.

What are pizza moments

Just above, I mentioned some “pizza moments”. What is it? For us, pizza moments are when our customers can share their life situations with Dodo Pizza. For example:

  1. In the evening you want to watch a movie, you are too lazy to cook and you are going to order something. And this is the pizza moment!
  2. You and your family are going to spend time at home and play board games. Pizza is perfect for this as well.
  3. Or you are playing a new computer game and you are hungry, but the refrigerator is empty, but you want to eat right now. Pizza again!

It seems that there are a lot of such situations in the life of our clients. Only on the internal brainstorm, we generated more than a hundred pizza moments and continue to work in this direction. Every pizza moment can be an opportunity for affiliate marketing.

What capacities and resources Dodo Pizza provides partners

Pizzerias of our network are open in 260 cities of Russia: these are central cities with a population of over a million, and very distant, but cozy towns. Sometimes our pizzerias are located where there is not even a normal post office. Thus, we provide our partners with coverage from 3-4 million paying customers through our internal channels throughout the country.

Briefly about these channels:

  • Website: 1. 8 million people visit it every month.
  • App (iOS, Android): 1.8 million people use it every month.
  • Email distribution: active base — 700 thousand people.
  • Push mailings: 3 million subscribers.
  • Russian VK groups: 4 million subscribers.
  • VK mailings: 1 million subscribers.
  • Instagram of the Russian Federation: 753 thousand subscribers.

And now I want to share with you those cases of partnership campaigns that have already been implemented.

Partner promotions with physical bonuses

Hasbro in every home

We launched the first sampling with the international company Hasbro. Their goal was to get into people’s homes and increase sales of board games. As we thought: people often gather in groups, play board games and order pizza. How we acted: we introduced a partner combo «Everything in the game!» for a month in the Dodo Pizza delivery menu.

When purchasing this combo, the customer received one of eight Hasbro board games. As part of this partnership, we delivered 30,000 orders of board games, and a little later we sent a message to the client with a link to a site where you can buy other games from this company.

This is how we realized that promotions with a product that complements the pizza moment work effectively:

  • the client perceives the gift as valuable and relevant to the moment;
  • partner receives advertising coverage from 4 million potential customers through our internal communication channels, as well as the opportunity to get into the client’s house.

We recently launched a similar promotion with TABASCO © sauce. Our partners wanted to introduce their product to a wide audience throughout Russia. Therefore, with each order with Mexican pizza, we applied their hot sauce. This combination of products complements each other perfectly, and we want to repeat these promotional mechanics more often.

Partner promotions with prize draw

During this time, we began to try more new mechanics for partner promotions. For example, the mechanics with draws, which we now often use and improve. A little about the latest launches.

KHL for sports fans

An example of how a promotion with cool prizes that are interesting for the audience is a promotion with the KHL. For the partner, the action was aimed at image and obtaining a wide audience coverage. We were able to engage the sports fan segment and get their attention. The main prize of the promotion was a trip to the championship final. As a result, the KHL received brand promotion in our internal channels and paid digital promotion from our side.

Disclaimer: Unfortunately, the promotion had to be suspended due to the pandemic, but we managed to distribute part of the prizes in two weeks. I share the mechanics of the promotion:

  1. The client places an order for the amount of 875 ₽ and enters a promo code.
  2. The client receives a pizza as a gift.
  3. Every week, among the customers who participated in the promotion, we sent out a set of promotional codes from the KHL — a certificate to the store and access to a subscription to khl.tv.

HYPERPC for real gamers

Another example of a promotion with a coveted top prize for the target audience is a promotion with the HYPERPC online computer store. This collaboration turned out to be one of the most comprehensive, because a raffle of a computer from HYPERPC was at stake. The action mechanics were as follows:

  1. The client places an order for the amount of 899 ₽ and enters a promo code.
  2. Using the promotional code, he received a free pizza with his order and becomes a participant in the computer lottery.

To promote the campaign and talk about HYPERPC, we used our main channels to get coverage: sliders and banners on the site and in the app, email newsletters throughout the database, social networks (VK + Instagram), targeted advertising in social networks.

Partner promotions with digital bonuses

Combo with World of Warcraft

We’ve got an interesting promotion together with Blizzard in honor of the 10th anniversary of World of Warcraft. Our partners wanted to tell a wide audience in Russia about the anniversary of the game. As part of the partnership, we implemented a «fight» between two combos of the opposing forces of the game — the Alliance and the Horde. Buying one of these two combos, the client voted for one or another faction.

Every day in the VK group we summed up the combo of which faction is in the lead.

Among the gaming audience, the advertising campaign went well. Clients reacted actively in social networks. For example, they reposted targeted ads for the For the Horde or For the Alliance combos. As a result, Blizzard reached 7 million people and got more people involved in the game.

ivi: pizza + movie = love

Watching a movie is the perfect pizza moment. Therefore, ivi.ru and I found each other and launched a joint combo. How it worked: when buying a combo, the client received a free subscription to a movie from ivi.ru.

This promotion gave the partner company our reach and customers. The fact that we have found the perfect combination is evidenced by the high conversion rate of a free subscription to activation.

What’s next

Using the pizza moments and the scale of our network, we plan to make more cool partnerships and collaborations, work deeper into certain segments of the audience, especially for families with children, gamers and movie/series fans.

Registration of the partner conference Dodo Pizza

Process

We have been working with Dodo Pizza for a long time, providing restaurants with promotional products and making souvenirs for events.
This year we were invited to design a partner conference. The TOR was quite general, we had to arrange photo zones and a stage, make banners for a coffee point.

We proposed all the ideas on the go, right on the site, there we calculated the options together with the customer.
The biggest and most difficult work is the design of the photo zone. Initially, we planned to make it from duralight, light tubes. But then they found a much better option: they assembled a hollow structure, glued around the perimeter with LEDs and covered with orange plexiglass. We painted the structure itself in the corporate orange shade of Dodo Pizza. We fixed these luminous letters on a black banner — it turned out very impressive!

We also made letters for the stage from pressed foam, made banners for the partners of the event, navigation stands and signs, designed a DJ stand, a stage raus on additional frames.
The most important stage of preparation is the installation of structures, which took place on the eve of the event. But thanks to our own production and assembly team, we managed to do everything.

The event went well and the customer was satisfied!
