  • Amazing! Iberico ham for appetizer was like being in Barcelona again! Prime Rib was perfect for 2 people. They don’t mind splitting dishes!

  • Outstanding. It’s been while since my last visit but it used to be one of my favorite places in SP (prior to Masterchef phenomenon). Simplicity and respect for the fresh ingredients.

  • Preço para um casal 451 reais: 1 vinho, 2 entradas (pequenas, uma bruschetta de cogumelos e uma salada de abobrinha), 2 pratos (polvo), 1 sobremesa (torta de chocolate com gengibre) e 2 cafés.

  • O melhor sorvete de doce de leite que você vai comer! Atendimento e comida excelentes e um café brasileiro divino! O jantar com prato principal, vinho, sobremesa e café custa cerca de 320 (casal).

  • Ambiente agradável, sem ser ostensivo. Entradas recomendo o ceviche de ostras e as vieiras, ambos fantásticos! De pratos pedi o ojo de bife e foi a melhor carne que comi na vida.

  • Fiquei na dúvida entre o Polvo e o Prime Rib e não me arrependi !! Fui de Polvo na chapa com feijão fradinho e aioli picante (maionese). Polvo bem macio, ótimo tempero e maionese leve… Experimente !

    Where do Spaniards have dinner?

    The restaurant is #thousand years old at lunchtime, it used to be located in the Salamanca district, not far from the Loewe boutique. Then they raised the price of rent and they moved to another «also respectable» area of ​​Arturo Soria, but with a smaller flow of people. But they have a big mansion here, with a garden, fountains, fish. The tasting set costs 35€, but you can also order the menu. Everything is delicious and high quality.

    An Italian restaurant that is at least 20 years old, maybe more. Italians go here, and this is an important indicator. On the walls are photographs of Italian cinema, along with Sophia Loren. Checkered tablecloths on the tables. And in the plate is homemade pasta and pizza from the oven. Good selection and very reasonable prices. Everything is really solid, no industrial sauce for you. For dessert panna cotta or tiramisu. Would like to come back here. When I studied at IED, we just had a building nearby, so we ran here for lunch. Italian pasta helps the creative process. Checked on myself.

    tel. Thanks to its proximity to the park, and less exorbitant rental prices than in the nearby Salamanca area, very interesting bars and restaurants have opened here in recent years.
    Katapa is an experienced resident here. Cuisine Spanish with an emphasis on seasonal products. Braised morels, truffle croquetas,
    Green beans with mini squids (habitas con chopitos), hake cheeks (cocochas de merluza al pil pil.), stewed kidneys (los riñones), steak tartare and wagyu hamburger.
    Trust the owner’s recommendations.

    4⃣Naomi (calle Avila 14, tel. 91 574 26 15) Japanese, authentic. You won’t get California rolls here, and you don’t want to. Soooooo small place, better to book. Let’s conditionally call it a «working» area, not quite a tourist one, I would say so, the facade is strange. But foodaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you must go, ask for eel and avocado maki cones, grilled tuna, salmon sashimi and green tea pudding for dessert. Service «C grade» with you here is not on ceremony, ate go away, we have a queue for tables there, standing at the door. If you ignore this, you will have a wonderful time.

    Restaurant of the La Ancha family, if anyone knows, a fish restaurant has long been open in Via Principe de Vergara. So Fismuler is the creation of the children of the same La Ancha.
    I really love their restaurant Torillas de Gabino and I went to the new restaurant with great enthusiasm.
    Their entrance reminded me very much of a Michelin restaurant in Copenhagen, Noma. And later, on their personal Facebook page, I read that their Fismuler kitchen is called Nordic. Greetings from René Redzepi.
    Design in the same style, laconic: brick walls, the shelves of which are decorated with jars of different sizes (they make different tinctures themselves), tables without tablecloths.
    We didn’t book in advance, so the kind hostess seated us at a table in the kitchen, apparently thinking she made us extremely happy. It is a dubious pleasure to sit with your back to the distribution and feel the waiters scurrying back and forth with plates. But in the kitchen, I noticed a couple of chefs who used to work at Diverxo with David Munoz (3 Michelin stars), frames are lured here and there.
    Something that I would like to note right away and probably, unfortunately, this will be my favorite dish: it is butter, bread and jerky, which is served first as an aperitif. And the conclusion is simple — they chose the best French butter with coarse salt inside, and serve it with a homemade slice of bread.
    We took all the dishes to the table «para compartir»: beans with veal and shrimp (shrimps, as in that joke, I looked for but did not find), tomatoes were normal, but not the best variety on the market (considering that Spain is a tomato country) and tortilla with small green peppers
    Dessert was mango ceviche with coconut ice cream.
    The owners are in a good mood, they have been in the restaurant business for several years. That is why, I think, I would come back to try the menu better, besides, they often change it, it is for this menu that they print on 1 sheet in the font of an old typewriter.
    From the original: I really liked the serving of coffee.
    Separately, they bring a kettle with boiling water, a separate mug, a coffee filter next to it, the waiter himself pours a small-ground coffee into the filter, pours it in and offers to wait until it drips. And instead of milk, half-whipped cream is served in a separate bowl, you can add as much as you want to yourself. It is this cream that gives the unusual sweet and sour taste of coffee, for me it was a nice bonus to dessert.
    ❗We were also pleased with the presence of home-made tinctures, although we refused to taste, they really wanted to give us pepper tincture to drink, apparently they thought that no one could appreciate this drink like three Russian girls

    6⃣Fogón de Trifón

    I was pleased with this restaurant. Return to the pre-crisis past of Spain.
    At the entrance, several barrels are laid under the tables at the bar, and they look so harmonious there, stylish, as if from an Almodovar film, that I even regretted for a minute that they gave us a table in the hall.
    Passing by the bar, you find yourself in a small room without windows, for 20 people, only 5 tables for 4 people each. Chairs in covers like at weddings, ahhhh how I love it, now it’s almost vintage, and only 4-5 years ago the halls were «dressed up» in this way in almost any restaurant in Madrid. If you take away all the shelves with wines, numerous frames with newspaper clippings where the restaurant has ever been mentioned, and pictures of Paco Lucio and Bullfighting, then it will be a small room without windows. But now you can feel the energy of Trifon himself, the owner of the restaurant. By the way, he also takes orders and talks about seasonal dishes: mushrooms, young beans.
