The hotel underwent a stylish renovation in 2017, resulting in a handsome lobby finished in mahogany-brown and teal blue. A grand wood banister staircase unfurls up to the mezzanine floor — a real lobby showstopper that exudes Old World grandeur. Bright contemporary artwork offers bold contrast to graceful heritage elements like checkerboard marble-tiled floors and arched crown moldings. Common areas aren’t exactly huge — so it can feel somewhat busy in the restaurant, around the pool (which is small), and in the lobby as guests come and go. The proximity to the port naturally attracts plenty of cruise passengers, plus tourists of all kinds keen to explore the old city, in addition to a fair share of business travelers.

Pros:Service was fast! The staff was wonderful! The facilities very well kept and they where always making sure I had what I needed.

Cons:I LOVED EVERYTHING! I have nothing to complain about. Nothing was bad!! VERY WELLA ORGANIZED!

Pros:We enjoyed the proximity to Old San Juan and the friendly staff. The room was very comfortable and the WIFI worked well even after the hurricane when not many working WiFi signals could be found. We also enjoyed the infinity pool and the gym. Zen Spa was also great, relaxing and the therapists very helpful.

Cons:However we were overcharged a small amount by Zen Spa and it’s been over a week since our stay and we haven’t been reimbursed for the mistake by the Zen Spa staff. It’s looking like we will have to go there again personally to take care of the problem.

Cons:Location isn’t the best taxi to old San Juan was about 15.00 dollars each way. No restaurants nearby so you have to get a taxicab and can become costly.

Pros:The cleanliness was great, housekeeping department was extraordinary. The people at the Cafe on the lobby were great.

Cons:Some of the staff at the front desk were not that polite as I was expecting since I am an SPG member.
