Con dos restaurantes icónicos apodados como mesones gastronómicos (una designación para los restaurantes puertorriqueños destacados), encontrarás experiencias gastronómicas que dejarán satisfechas tus papilas gustativas.

Pasión por el Fogón

Del mar a tu mesa, literalmente. Los pescadores de la zona traen sus capturas directamente a la cocina de la Chef Myrta en Pasión por el Fogón. Un favorito de los lugareños durante años, el lugar fue apodado mesón gastronómico por la Compañía de Turismo de Puerto Rico, y su menú se enfoca en platos criollos y de mariscos como langostas rellenas de camarones, mofongo¸ arroz mamposteao’ relleno con churrasco y mucho más. La especialidad de la casa es el carrucho o el chillo relleno de camarones. El restaurante ha sido reconocido como uno de los mejores fuera del área metropolitana y pretende resaltar lo que significa su nombre: pasión y fuego. 

El brunch nunca se vio, ni supo, mejor que en una terraza hogareña como Las Vistas Café.

Las Vistas Café

Una terraza abierta con vistas al Parque Natural de las Cabezas de San Juan es el escenario perfecto para un delicioso brunch como hecho en casa. Un refrescante plato de frutas con almendras y miel se sirve de cortesía para los visitantes mientras esperan su comida. Los platos favoritos del brunch en Las Vistas Café incluyen tostadas francesas de coco con frutas, huevos benedictinos con salmón servido sobre arepas y tortillas vegetarianas. Muchos de los ingredientes vegetales se cultivan en el patio del propietario. ¡Asegúrate de probar la refrescante limonada casera de albahaca!

La Estación

Una antigua gasolinera convertida en restaurante tiene como objetivo presentar los mejores cortes de carne de la región oriental. El chef Kevin combina su amor por Puerto Rico y su pasión por la barbacoa para presentar un estilo único que fusiona perfiles de sabor tradicional estadounidense con especias y técnicas caribeñas. Los platos en La Estación se preparan en parrillas abiertas alimentadas con leña y carbón. Su menú incluye platos como chillo a la parrilla, pollo al estilo Nuyorican, costillas ahumadas a fuego lento y más. Todos los productos provienen de vendedores locales, pescadores y fincas.

Disfruta de un ambiente agradable con una vista increíble de la costa este en Sal y Pimienta, donde los mariscos frescos son el foco central. Comienza tu comida con aros de calamar especiados con salsa de jengibre o palitos de carrucho con salsa dulce y chile. Su plato mar y tierra te permite combinar langosta, chillo o camarones con churrasco o un bistec. Los fines de semana, su menú especial incluye brunch con mimosas ilimitadas.

Cinco Nudos destaca las delicias del mar fusionadas con técnicas criollas. Prueba su risotto cubierto con salmón y alcaparras, o el ceviche curado con mandarina. Su exquisita comida y la impresionante vista de la marina hacen una combinación perfecta para una cena romántica.
