Terrific layout and conditions

I was trying to decide where to play when I came on a cruise to Puerto Rico, and after reading the previous reviews, I decided to go play at Saint Regis. I’m so glad that I did. Although the price is a little steep the conditions and layout here, so worth it. I rented clubs from the pro shop and they weren’t bad, and came with two sleeves of balls to play with. There driving range is also in great condition with bunkers and flags to aim at. The course is pretty unforgiving with water and dense bushes along the sides of each hole. Yet, the tee boxes, greens and fairways were lush. I highly recommend you play here if you have a few hundred to throw around.

Great course — carts stop you in middle of fairways

Everything was pretty good, expensive of course, since its an island, so is everything.

The greens are not championship style, and overwatered, not much break and a bit slow.

The biggest gripe were the carts, with GPS. Most carts like this have a geo-fence of about 50 yards from the green, these on some hold (par 4’s or 5’s) stopped you 120 yards off the green and made you back out at a very slow speed, I would have been better off walking some of the holes.

Exactly what we were looking to play

This course was in really good shape. There were some areas not 100% taken care of but only to the fault of players ahead of us and not staff. This was one of the more difficult courses I’ve played with a fair amount of water and narrow fairways. This course made me step up my game. Greens were FAST and more difficult than what I’ve played in the states. I’d play this course again in a heart beat. Staff was extremely friendly/helpful, and driving range great.

The Course is Aces all around.Just make sure to hit fairways, or bring some extra balls. Narrow, but fair.

We bought a day pass here and had the opportunity to spend 8 hours at this luxury hotel. Everything is top notch, from the beautiful adults-only pool to the staff. We will definitely come back here for a week soon.
One small suggestion: please purchase the cushions for the sun loungers by the pool… they are very uncomfortable.

2020 has been a difficult year for obvious reasons and my family and I have been looking forward to our first vacation since 2019. We chose a beautiful resort in Puerto Rico with a 3 bedroom residence right on the beach. We arrived and the location and surroundings were exactly as we expected — beautiful beach and residence. However, the hotel next door was under construction and although the resort has rules that you can only make noise for construction between the hours of 12pm and 3pm, they have been drilling, sawing and hammering since 8am (4am for us Western coasters) until 16:00 every day, including Saturday. We have been giving security notices daily, but no action has been taken. We then found out that the owner of the hotel next door was connected to the owners of the resort and were told that was probably why they didn’t follow the rules. While we love Puerto Rico, this resort clearly has no respect for its guests and we would never recommend anyone to come here unless you want to feel like no one cares what you pay for. 5 star accommodation and treated with one star respect. nine0005

The superb tree-lined and open-plan parks feature many wonderfully crafted, memorable and intricate openings. Definitely a course that will challenge your all-round game and is worth going out of your way to play. Don’t want that one of. Perfect place. Only downside if you are single or want to stay in San Juan. A wide range of services. Bring me fresh grass scented ice towels to the golf course every 6 holes to put it on top. The beach club is very nice and the beaches were clean and empty.

I don’t know what the other reviewers are saying. I visited this place about 2 years ago when I was in Gran Melia. It was under construction although at the time it seemed that work had been suspended. It still looks very similar. Nothing is completed.
