Forever indebted to the hospitality and kindness they showed me before they arrived, I was an empty shell halfway from jumping off the building until I met the staff, management and guests…and just how everything changed.
This time in a good time while I felt like I had a family, I felt loved…and worthy. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place that provides more than a bed to lay their head on. I will forever be indebted to Hugo, Ellie and the rest of the staff for saving my life and helping me through my divorce and self-destructive period. CS is my home away from home. The staff here are knowledgeable about the area, kind and helpful. They also love to have fun. There is so much to enjoy and experience in beautiful Puerto Rico and not everything is easy to get to but these guys will guide you on an amazing experience here. nine0005

I had a wonderful stay and it was really nicely located. Very clean, nice staff, very helpful. I liked it very much. And she healed my hand after falling on some sea urchins. She was really helpful all the time and helped make it a great experience. All in all everything was good so it’s a 10out out of 10. Would definitely stay here again.

I really liked the Hostel! It has a very central location, close to the beach and close to most restaurants.
The facilities are very clean and Luis, the front desk guy, was super friendly, attentive, and provided excellent customer service.
I would totally recommend this place.

This place is a gem in downtown San Juan! My friends and I enjoyed a few days at the hostel and had an amazing time. The guests were cool and always up to hanging out and the staff are SUPER friendly and caring. We highly recommend getting in touch with Luis who is part of the staff if you want good advice on places to visit and where to eat. nine0316 Overall, we couldn’t have had a better hostel experience!

Casa Santurce is a great hostel in an ideal location; central to everything at the eastern end of Puerto Rico (including the airport, San Juan, and Old San Juan).
There is a very good atmosphere. The rooms are clean and practical, the kitchen is communal and provides the necessary utensils so you can save money and buy groceries for your stay. The staff are amazing — Nate and Usher are very helpful and offer the knowledge they have on the island (when asked) so you can optimize your stay. Would definitely come here again =)

This hostel has good vibes. Variety of guests, some here for a party, others for vacation. Comfortable beds, good water pressure, clean kitchen. The staff are very friendly, including the host Chris, who does a good job of welcoming guests and recommending things to do. There is a cost for what you pay! nine0005

No daily housekeeping (cleaning) service. At 4 nights I was there, they went through my room only once and right after I claimed it. At the same time they didn’t change sheets or towel even more than once. No Wi-Fi service, maybe because the storm last year. Close to La Placita, a place to have a cocktail and listen to salsa. A short drive from Old Town San Juan.

I stayed at Casa Santurce after Hurricane Maria. Although they could close their doors. Host Jane went out of her way to provide rooms, service and fun conversation. It was a safe haven at a bad time and I would highly recommend Casa Santurce for anyone in need of a good roomat a fair price. nine0005

I have some conflicting feedback for this place. The positives are that it is very close to the airport in a nice non touristy area. The person checking me in was helpful and friendly.
And the local coffee at am was great. I stayed 1 night as I had an early flight to Vieques in the morning and they arranged a car for me which was good. But I’m not sure why anyone would pay $60 for a single room at this place when there are so many good places on Airbnb just around the corner where you can sleep in a bed with a good bathroom and a restaurant for basically the same price. I have stayed in a lot of hostels but this one was actually the worst. The room wasn’t super clean (not that bad, but they could cover and make it look kind of welcoming), the sheets were mostly paper towels, and one pillow was a bit of a joke. I would imagine a prison bed would have a slightly higher quality. And on top of that I had to pay a $10 cash late check out fee even after sending them out telling them my flight would be later than expected and they told me that was ok, no problem. So in fact I paid $70 for a room that didn’t even have a toilet paper roll. So at 1am I went to the grocery store, they directed me to which was of course not open at 1am.
And quit drinking beer with the check in lady wasn’t the best record. nine0005
