What to pack on a Catamaran Day Trip in Puerto Rico

Now that you have decided which catamaran trip to book, you’ll need to know what to bring with you! Never fear, I’ve got you covered.

🤿 MASK AND SNORKEL

Most of these tours include snorkeling equipment, and that is totally fine to use theirs if you wish. However, if you want to bring your own for sanitary reasons, or to ensure they fit the way you like, you can do that too!

This mask and snorkel set is very popular, my kids love this one. I prefer this mask and snorkel combo with a GoPro attachment. I love how it frees up both hands while snorkeling!

📱 Waterproof Phone Holder

Even though a lot of cell phones are water resistant, salt water can damage them. If you are wanting to take photos from the catamaran or while snorkeling get one of these inexpensive phone holders.

A cell phone can take pretty good photos, but if you want to snorkel and get incredible videos of tropical fish, bring a GoPro! My GoPro is a must on all snorkeling trips! I even took it with me to swim with sharks in the Bahamas.

🏝 Fast Drying Towel

One of the best things to bring on your catamaran trip is a lightweight and fast drying towel. These don’t take up much room in your bag and will be a great item to have for the ride back to land.

☀️ Reef Safe Sunscreen

If you are heading anywhere in the Caribbean you definitely need sunscreen. Be sure to only wear reef-safe sunscreen to help protect the reefs and marine life. I love this combo because it comes with an after-sun gel too! Don’t forget chapstick with SPF protection!

👙Rash Guard or SwimSuit

Of course, you will need a swimsuit if you planning on spending the day on the water. Another good thing to think about is purchasing a rash guard. This can be in place of your swim suit, or over the top. Rash guards are lightweight, dry quickly, and help protect you from sunburn. This limits the amount of sunscreen you need to put on as well!

🧢 Hat

Grab a hat to help keep the sun off your face, but also to control your hair after being in the water and wind! This one is super cute, or this one may be more your style.

🏖 Floaties

Some tours provide floats or tubes to get in the water with, but you cant guarantee they will have enough for everyone or they will be one you like. I know a float isn’t something most people get excited about but let me tell you how OBSESSED I am with these floaties!

They pack up so small, weigh nothing, are easy to inflate, and are so comfortable in the water. They are a must for me when making my Caribbean packing list!

You can rent it for 2 or 8 people. There are 4 comfortable cabins on board this catamaran. Each of them has its own shower room with all amenities.
