Took 2 bikes in Barceloneta for 4 hours for 10 euros/pc. We didn’t book in advance, we just came in the morning and took it on the spot. Everything is set up very quickly. Leave a document as collateral. Great old but ok for the city.
We managed to get to Llevant beach, and from there even further to Port Forum. Then we still managed to lie down on the beach for an hour on the way back (there is parking for bicycles on every beach). If you take for a longer time (several days), then a little expensive. They are still focused on short-term rentals. And so everything is fine!

This bike rental was the closest to our hotel, that’s why we chose them, and we can’t compare them with other companies in Barcelona, but we liked the service in general, everything is simple and convenient, insurance or something else is not impose. There was only one technical nuance: one of the two anti-theft locks on my bike could be easily unlocked by hand, although outwardly it looked like it was closing normally. This problem was already discovered in the city, and I think that the staff, apparently, were not aware that the lock was not working. Everything was fine on the second bike we rented. In general, I advise you to better check the anti-theft locks before leaving, to pull everything that twitches directly with your hands)

Recommend renting a bike in Barcelona

Definitely recommend renting a bike while in Barcelona. It is much easier than using public transport or walking (especially in summer). Bicycles are easy to rent and a good price! Nice people and good bikes. It’s just a bit confusing where to bike in this city as there are no clear bike lanes.

Barcelona Bicycle rental

Hello!
First of all, you have a beautiful city! ! !
Today we rented bikes from Tallers 45.
Bikes are advertised as new and serviced daily. Not true! Old, rattling, bad breakdowns, backlight missing and never serviced.
When you contract suddenly, you find out that the bike is stolen, this will be a replacement fee of 250 euros. Not bad, because the cost of the bike does not exceed 25 euros. But you can take out insurance of 3 euros, 25% of the rent, and then the replacement fee will be only 100 euros. None of this is mentioned on the site, what a travel scam. After he complained to the agent, he was unable to get a response from the owner about our complaint within 6 hours and he is not allowed to return the money. Now here is the best. I tried 5 times to send a complaint email from my website but when you enter the security code it says it’s not a valid code and the mail doesn’t go through. Another scam! ! Please be so kind and warn your visitors about this frivolous and travel scam business.

Great way to see Barcelona

Renting a bike is a great way to see Barcelona. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating and the rental rates were reasonable, but unfortunately their bikes have come through better days. The brake pads on both of our bikes were worn out and very noisy, the shifters were stiff with broken covers and all the knobs on the cranks were twisted — I had one up and one down. * Tip — check your bike before leaving the store.

Perfect pace to appreciate the city

We had four days in Barcelona and wanted a convenient way to get around most of the city to see the places at your own pace and in our time. E-Bikes from Barcelona Rent-A-Bike for 3 days is the perfect solution.

We have been able to bike quickly and easily to Sagrada Familia, Parc Güell, Ciutadella Park, Bari Gothic, as well as long beaches and the port area, without arriving in a sweaty mess, thanks to the «e» in e-bikes. Heavy duty locks are provided, and the bikes have a «rat trap» on the back that your belongings can be attached to with a bungee cord (which they provided). No water bottle cage, however.

We picked up our bikes at a location next to Las Ramblas, a five minute walk from the Meridien Hotel. Giovanni did the paperwork for our rentals and he’s a bit «on the rules» which meant he was concerned that we didn’t take our passports but ended up accepting our driver’s license as acceptable ID. The e-bikes were a little beat up but worked well. You have to return the e-bikes every night so they can be recharged but that wasn’t a problem as they stayed open until 19:thirty.

The problem with our arrangements caused some intimidation on the first day, but this was resolved by the manager, David. We found Giovanni and David personable and a pleasure to deal with.

Overall, this really is the best way to see Barcelona, especially if it’s a return visit for you, and we were very pleased with the bikes and service.
