The living room leads out on to the large (new) terrace with patio furniture, built-in barbeque, and the best views on the island.

Exterior:
Puerto Chico P offers a large selection of English television channels, which includes BBC 1, BBC 2, Channel 4, SKY Sports 1 and SKY Movies. The bungalow is located only 5 minutes walk to Playa Flamingo beach or to the centre of Playa Blanca. Situated alongside the promenade within a few minutes walk of the supermarkets, bars and Restaurants. Jump into the large heated communal pool and enjoy life. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Playa Blanca is a thriving and busy little fishing village. As well as the great beaches, there are plenty of banks, supermarkets, chemists, doctors, hairdressers, plus shops, restaurants and bars galore. There is a local church service most Sundays. You will also be able to book excursions around the island, water taxis to Papagayo beaches plus take the ferry to Fuerteventura. Watersports abound, with plenty of choice for diving, sailing, fishing and snorkelling. The best surf is in Famara. Taxis are very common and cheap. There is a regular bus service that operates throughout Playa Blanca, plus another service to other island towns.

Mangyan tribes. Mangyans are friendly and peaceful, at the same time living a very closed and solitary people, thanks to their isolation, they have preserved the traditions and rituals of their ancestors. The Mangian group of peoples includes, among others, the Iraya, Alangan and Tadvanan tribes. For a long time they lived by fishing on the coast, but now their main occupation is agriculture in the mountainous regions. The Mangyans are skilled artisans, making baskets and mats from natural materials, as well as intricate decorations. nine0005

Trekking on Mindoro. The mountain peaks of Mindoro, primarily the third highest mountain in the Philippines, Alcon, reaching 2587 meters into the sky, are the favorite routes of conquerors of heights. Climbing Alcon is a real test, possible only with an experienced guide. The ascent through the primeval tropical rainforest lasts about four days. The reward for conquering Alcón is fantastic views. The starting point for this route is Baco, a city between Puerto Galera and Calapan. There are also trekking tours further south to the Eaglet Bako National Park, a wildlife sanctuary home to the endangered tamarao pygmy buffalo. A little less effort from the traveler will require excursions to Lake Nauhan, a vast inland lake on the east coast. Arrival

Puerto Galera can be reached by country road from Manila followed by a ferry ride. First, from the capital, on one of the many scheduled buses, you will need to get to the coastal city of Batangas, located in the south. The trip to the port takes two and a half hours. There are several ferries from Batangas to Puerto Galera every day.

There is also a connection with Kalapan. From Manila, Mindoro can also be reached by air: after a 45-minute journey, the plane lands in San Jose or Mamburao.

Climate

Mindoro is divided into three climate zones running from west to east. In the west, six months of the year, from December to May, is the dry season. In the center of Mindoro, on a narrow strip from north to south,
dominated by a mild oceanic climate. Precipitation can fall here throughout the year. The east of Mindoro, and therefore most of the eastern province, again has two seasons — a three-month dry period from March to May and a rainy season from July to September.
