Luxurious Costa Brava Holiday Villas

This stylish Costa Brava holiday villa offers complete privacy and tranquility with some of the best sea views on the entire Costa Brava. It is located in an upscale residential area and is built into the rock, making it a highly noteworthy structure that has been featured in various design and architecture magazines.

All living areas and bedrooms offer stunning sea views. On the roof there is even a terrace with a seating area, which offers a stunning 360º panorama.

The property is built on two levels and is accessible via an elevator.

The ground floor consists of a living/dining room with comfortable seating for eight people and with direct access to the infinity pool and covered terrace. The modern designer fully equipped kitchen is connected to the main living room and covered terrace, giving you the option to dine indoors or outdoors. The living room has 5.1 Bose surround sound and a curved 3D TV as well as a game console.

The first floor also has one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a guest toilet.

On the second floor there is a fantastic master bedroom with en-suite bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. There is also access to a large furnished terrace. The other two double bedrooms share a bathroom.

The rooftop terrace with comfortable sofas and BBQ facilities is the perfect spot for an evening cocktail while enjoying the breathtaking views.

Locally we offer free concierge services to all our clients. We can help arrange a range of additional services, including arranging tables in top restaurants and private chefs to cook for you in your villa. We can help plan itineraries, suggest excursions such as a day trip to Cadaqués and assist with car hire/airport transfers if needed.

Distances

5 minutes drive to Tamariu and Aiguablava beaches, 40 minutes to Girona and 90 minutes to Barcelona.

Please note: All floors have a wheelchair lift. The lift does not serve the roof terrace. Smoking is not allowed indoors, smoking is only allowed on the terraces. There are a couple of terraces, so the villa is not suitable for small «stray» children.

Truly Charming Villa.

We (a group of four couples) spent a week at La Calma and found it to be everything we hoped for, expected, wanted it to be for our 50th wedding celebration.

The design of the house, the location, the view and the amenities are amazing and we couldn’t have imagined anything better. The «guide» was quite helpful and suggestions for various places to eat and see were spot on.

A few minor inconveniences did not matter, but for your future customers we recommend that you tell them more about the dryer (cleaning the lint trap and emptying the water) by providing more than two sets of keys (especially if the couple’s passengers are likely to go in different directions on different days), and early recognition of the small size of the two bedrooms upstairs (children?). There was some comment about the need for hooks in this shared bathroom. As stated, the coffee machine was quite temperamental and at times caused anxiety for our more caffeine addicted guests.

But these are all things that are easy to take care of (with the possible exception of the coffee machine).

We will and certainly will recommend La Calma to others and will be happy if you need them.

Lovely vacation

We spent one week in August 2002 Villa Roca. The villa looks stunning with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. At the same time, it is very convenient and we found that all our needs for the week were covered in terms of what we expect to receive. The owners were extremely responsive to any questions and/or requests for recommendations. The Costa Brava area in which it is located is particularly beautiful, with lovely coves with crystal clear waters and small historic towns to explore. I highly recommend it and would happily return should we consider another visit to the area.

On top of the world

This is a wonderful house that rises dramatically above the sea. The owners put a lot of effort into decorating and furnishing the house and we really enjoyed staying here.
House works great for three couples; we found the shared bathroom a bit tricky when the fourth couple stayed for a few days.

Amazing villa!

We stayed here during the first week of June. The only reason we came to the area was to meet some Australian friends who were supposed to be on a cruise from Barcelona and didn’t want to visit us in London first! Without knowing the area at all, I did a lot of research and was inspired by the Charming Villas website. Both Richard and Sarah were most helpful in helping me find the «right» spot; their communication was excellent. Villa La Roca had everything in the photos and more.

My husband and I were the first of our group to come here and were warmly welcomed by the owners Mark and Tristan who gave us a tour of the property. They explained where everything was and how they worked. All information was clearly laid out in the home guide, along with suggestions for restaurants and places to visit.

The views from the house are amazing, especially from the roof terrace which was my favorite spot. The pool is beautiful — not that I try it — too cold for me at this time of the year. However, others thought it was great «when you were»!

The kitchen was well equipped and allowed the culinary enthusiasts among us (not me) to prepare delicious meals.

Re location — Tamariu is a delightful little community with many cafes/restaurants on the seafront. There is also a Spa grocery store — useful for provisions if you can’t meet Palafrugell and the big supermarkets (Mercadona, Aldi, etc.). Tamariu is a popular beach on weekends and it is safe to swim in the sea. From the villa about 25 minutes walk to the city (and more on the way back!). Joggers and walkers took various morning routes from the villa, some along the coast. This is an area that will improve your fitness levels without a doubt!

I really liked the modern design of the villa and often felt like I was in the pages of Ideal Home magazine.

We all had a fantastic week and would recommend this villa without booking. Communication with both the agency and the owners was top notch.

Overall the stay was excellent. From an architectural point of view, this is a stunning villa: beautiful views, tasteful modern design and well equipped. The sea view is amazing. Special thanks to Mark and CharmingVillas staff for accommodating my special needs such as credit card payment method and length of stay. CharmingVillas staff in general provided great communication. Minor problems: once we lost electricity, and in the evenings there were problems with hot water.

The villa is a bit far from Barcelona airport but the location is great and the view is breathtaking.

We used Tripadvisor to find the best restaurants. There are several good seafood restaurants in Tamariu village. In addition, we traveled around the city, dined in nearby cities. We really liked the Catalan cuisine. There are many other good sites and shops worth visiting.

Several of my friends are already interested in this villa based on my Facebook posts and yes, I have already recommended it.

The last week of July and the first week of August we spent our holidays in Vila Roca. We were warmly welcomed by the owners Mark and Tristan.

What a wonderful place to stay! The house really exceeded our expectations. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished,
and the view from the pool and from the master bedroom is amazing!

We brought our children (aged 16 and 19) and their friends. With the help of a rental car, they could easily find their way at night (Platja d’Aro for nightlife) and during the day (Palamos for the beach).
Tamariu is a lovely little village right on the beach with great places for lunch or dinner (Es Dofi was our favorite) but during the day it’s hard to find parking or a spot on the beach.

From Tamariu you can make extraordinarily beautiful coastal walks, during the walk you will find not only beautiful viewpoints, but also good restaurants for lunch or dinner,
for example, the food in El Far is very tasty!

Vila Roca is just a great starting point to explore beautiful coastal roads, villages, beaches, restaurants and cities like Girona and Barcelona. Moreover, Vila Roca is a heavenly place where you can spend your holidays.

Fabulous modern villa with stunning views

In July we stayed at Villa La Roca for 2 weeks. We had not been in the area for years and were looking for somewhere in the middle of the beautiful Costa Brava to rediscover its charm. Villa from the very beginning made a splash. An amazing piece of architecture perched on the cliffs with amazing views that were so big it almost made your neck hurt trying to take it all in. The amenities were amazing, from the fully equipped kitchen and bbq to the divine bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms in our favorite style. We cooked a lot and also popped into local bars and cafes which were only 5-10 minutes walk away. The villa had plenty of local travel material for us to make plans, but the hosts gave us some tips on arrival for restaurants, markets, etc, which were definitely up to the mark. The Wednesday market in Begur was a little blown away by our teenage daughter and her friend, while our 11 year old son and his buddy loved the boat rental from Begur boats complete with a captain who circled the bays with us and showed us the breathtaking scenery with another corner. All in all, great location, lovely modern villa and everyone had a great time — we would definitely recommend Charming Villas Catalonia to friends… in fact my social media was full of people asking where we are — the wonders of modern life!

We had a great week at this stunning villa. The views both inside and out are phenomenal and make everyday activities such as reading, coffee, lunch etc much more enjoyable. The rooftop BBQ with cooling area has always been a great end to the day. Also, we and the kids loved the pool. The villa was also a great home after our short excursions around the area. We liked the nearby snorkeling aviary/beach, the town of Begur and a little further on the old town of Port Ligat famous for the Dali Museum.
