Puerto Rico no ha logrado un consenso sobre el azul de la bandera.

Han transcurrido casi 127 años desde la creación y adopción de la bandera de Puerto Rico, y a pesar de las investigaciones, alegaciones y cumbres de historiadores, hoy día todavía persiste una marcada división. No solo sobre quién ideó el diseño: Antonio Vélez Alvarado, Manuel Besosa o Francisco Gonzalo Pachín Marín. También sobre quién bordó la bandera: María Manuela Besosa o Micaela Dalmau. Sino además, sobre cuál es el azul oficial del símbolo patrio.
De hecho, la ley de la bandera del 24 de julio de 1952 describe su forma y colores, pero no especifica cuál es la tonalidad del azul.
José Luis Perez Aquino está al frente de la fábrica de banderas más importante de Puerto Rico, Tropical Flags, que fue fundada en 1950. A través de las órdenes de compra que allí reciben, es que mejor se refleja esta disyuntiva sobre el azul de la bandera puertorriqueña.
Un país o territorio solo puede tener una bandera. En Puerto Rico prácticamente hay tres, y en cierta manera, aunque algunos consideren trivial la división respecto el color azul de la bandera, la realidad es que refleja parte de una incapacidad para lograr consensos en asuntos más trascendentales, como definir el estatus político, enfrentar la deuda pública o llegar a un consenso sobre un modelo de desarrollo económico.

Fully equipped kitchen, 2 full baths, with 2 balconies over looking the ocean. Volleyball court & basketball court access for the athletic guests. Also a 2-min walk from the locally famous Annie’s Place and Santo’s Restaurants. 30-45 mins from #’s of beautiful beaches and also visit one of Puerto Rico bioluminescent cove.

Combate is very popular, especially during Summer time. You will find local shops, bars, restaurants and one of the best beaches Cabo Rojo has to offer. At Winter time, the area is not so crowded so you will feel as if you have it all for yourself.

Location
El Combate is a rural coastal small town mainly highly crowded during Summer time. The rest of the year, it is quiet, calm and easy to move around.
From here you will be about a 20 minute drive to the Lighthouse and Playa Sucia beach.
Both are landmarks that you should not miss out. Playa Sucia was an unknown beach until Travel & Leisure Magazine listed it as one of the beat 10 unknown beaches. As you may know by now… it is not longer unknown.
We also recommend you visit Parguera’s Bio-Bay at Lajas; about a 35 minute drive from our condo. You may spend the day at Parguera — kayaking thru Mangrove canals, deep sea fishing, boat rides and more — and at night, see the Bio-Bay either on boat or on a kayak nightly tour.
Cabo Rojo’s perfect location allows you to move through several towns — Lajas, Hormigueros, San German and Mayaguez — in less than 20 minutes or so from the apartment.
