21 miles west of the hustle and bustle of San Juan and 45 minutes from San Juan International Airport, Dorado Beach real estate sits on 1,400 peaceful, ecologically friendly, oceanside acres originally developed as a 1900s coconut and fruit plantation. Famous female aviator Clara Livingston took ownership in the 1930s, and the original landing strip used by her friend Amelia Earhart just before her final flight still stands today as part of the resort. The land was sold to Laurance Rockefeller in the 1950s and redeveloped as an eco-resort hotel, providing Dorado Beach with more than 60 years of dedication to the preservation of its extraordinary native ecology.
Since 2012, Dorado Beach real estate has been run as both a 5-star Ritz Carlton Reserve resort hotel and a Ritz Carlton residential community, with homeowners having access to all amenities by joining the resort’s club.
The resort is frequented by Hollywood celebrities, and was even credited by Lin-Manuel Miranda as the inspiring location where he wrote much of Hamilton. Act 60

Royal patent Ponce de Leon made an official petition to the Queen of Spain, Juana the Mad, to grant him a patent for the search, colonization and exploitation of the source of eternal youth. Having invested almost all his money in the purchase of three caravels, Ponce de Leon, not being a sailor, invited the most experienced navigator Anton Alaminos, an associate of Columbus himself, to serve as the main helmsman. There was no end to those wishing to go on a trip. Everyone was taken on the ships, including the elderly, the sick and the crippled. The holds were filled to capacity with empty barrels for living water from a magical spring. The governor understood that such an unusual product would be the most expensive and best-selling in the world. From island to island On a warm sunny day on March 3, 1513, ships left Saint Herman Harbor on the west coast of Puerto Rico, intent on making a discovery never before known to mankind. The bow of the Nadezhda, the flagship of the squadron, was adorned with a carved figure of the Madonna, whose glassy eyes stared intently ahead – to where the miracle land would open, giving people immortality. Squadron navigator Anton Alaminos confidently took a course to the northwest, to the Bahamas. Having passed the southern group of the archipelago previously discovered by Columbus, the ships fell into unknown waters. The Spaniards peered into the horizon until their eyes hurt. Discoveries were made almost every day. Fearing to miss the fountain of youth, the Spaniards landed on each new discovered island, scattered across the desert, covered with stones and stunted vegetation, swam in lakes and tasted water from springs and even rain puddles. Florida The chain of the Bahamas broke off, the squadron was on the high seas. Ten days of sailing are long gone. The fourth week of tedious waiting dragged on. When will the compass of fate lead travelers to the promised land? On April 2, 1513, a land appeared on the horizon that could not be compared with any of the previously encountered islands. The gaze of the navigators saw a solid wall of green trees intertwined with lianas. Dropping anchor in a quiet cozy bay, the travelers inhaled with full breasts the thick, spicy aroma of fragrant flowers, coming from the shore along with the bewitching singing of birds. Warm water on the coastal shallows sparkled under the rays of the sun. Since the remarkable discovery fell on the Christian feast of Easter in bloom (Pascua Florida in Spanish), the Spaniards regarded this as a sign, and Ponce de Leon named the discovered land Florida. Sailors impatiently landed on a yellow sandy beach. On one of the paths we moved through the dense forest. A spring of crystal-clear water gurgled in a clearing strewn with flowers. Ponce de Leon was the first to reach the source. Taking a breath, he raised his face, greedily peering into his reflection, waiting for the wrinkles to smooth out. In vain. A beautiful dream was shattered. Clinging to their last hopes, the Spaniards sailed along the east coast to the north for another two weeks, went ashore in the morning and checked every body of water for a miracle. In vain. Soon the search was complicated by the fact that the squadron reached areas inhabited by warlike Indian tribes. Fearless, tall and strong warriors refused to negotiate with the aliens, threatened with spears and huge bows with poisoned arrows. Ponce de Leon did not risk the expedition and ordered to turn south, look for a miracle source at the other end of the island. Gulf Stream Ponce de Leon and his navigator Anton Alaminos discovered a 500-kilometer section of the east coast of Florida and Cape Canaveral, from which spacecraft are launched today. Here the expedition for immortality fell into a powerful stream of warm sea currents. The water of the sea river differed sharply in color from the rest of the ocean. It flowed from the west, and at the tip of Florida turned sharply to the north. Anton Alaminos correctly guessed that this current could be used to return to Spain. It was the Gulf Stream, a source of heat for northern Europe, carrying 96 times more water than all the rivers of the Earth combined. The Spaniards did not suspect that this is the source of life for many peoples, but of a completely different kind. Newfound hope Ponce de Leon continued his search with enviable tenacity. In early October, the discouraged governor of Puerto Rico returned home, and in February 1514, Alaminos arrived with stunning news: he had found an island that the local Indians call Bimini! True, there was no fountain of youth on it, it was deserted and naked, but the name again revived the governor’s hopes for immortality. It took seven years to prepare a new expedition. During this time, Ponce de Leon visited Spain and received the rights of the governor of the lands he discovered. If the desired source is not on Bimini Island, then it must be somewhere nearby, most likely in Florida, the governor believed. It is necessary to conquer this country and explore the water from every reservoir. Ponce de Leon is sixty years old. There wasn’t much time left. Either he will gain youth, or the old woman with the scythe will take him to a place from which no one returns. With fire and sword In 1521 two ships went to sea. Along with a select team of sailors, a heavily armed squad of two hundred professional soldiers and ferocious dogs specially trained to hunt people were on board. At that time, for the New World, these were significant forces: ten years later, Francisco Pizarro, with four hundred soldiers, crushed the vast Inca empire. With fire and sword, Ponce de Leon walked through the villages of Florida. Captive Indians were tortured on red-hot bars, but none of them knew anything about the magical source. Having delved into the jungle of the peninsula, a detachment of Spaniards was ambushed. Several thousand Indians from behind the bushes rained down on the aliens a hail of poisoned arrows and spears. Return firing in the jungle yielded nothing. Ponce de Leon was writhing on deck in death throes. No one paid attention to him: the crew was struggling with the powerful current of the Gulf Stream. In the confused mind of the governor, who was so striving for immortality, the cold refreshing streams of the source of life mixed with the shore of Florida falling into the ocean – a land that not only did not restore his youth, but also took away the last years God had given him. |
Instead of the mentally ill Juana, the country was ruled by a completely sober, pragmatic regent of the kingdom, Ferdinand, who was not at all surprised by such a request. In those days, when the unusual and wonderful world of a new continent was opening across the ocean, everything seemed possible. Since the governor of Puerto Rico took care of all the expenses of the expedition, the regent, without blinking an eye, granted such a fantastic request.
The prospects for such a business were pleasantly dizzy.
But, alas, the old people remained infirm, and the sick did not recover. Disappointed navigators returned to their ships and with new hopes again rushed further north.
No one doubted that the beautiful coast is the Indian island of Bimini, only such a land can give people youth, immortality and happiness.
The Spaniards did not suspect that they had discovered not an island, but the Florida peninsula – part of the North American mainland.
Probably, if the fountain of youth really existed, he would have found it. In August 1513, the head of the expedition decided to split the squadron in order to increase the chances of success. He sent Alaminos to “comb” the Bahamas again, while he himself explored the northern coast of the Yucatan.

On the night of this Wednesday, March 30, the Aeronautica Civil de Colombia reported that a Boeing 747 aircraft from the Fedex parcel company, en route from San Juan de Puerto Rico, declared an emergency due to a possible malfunction in the left train before it landed.
at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá.
According to the organization, the aircraft registration number 205 flew over the capital’s airport terminal for several minutes and, after appropriate security checks, landed without problems on the south runway of El Dorado, however, due to these maneuvers and weather conditions, significant delays may occur in operations to and from the airport.
“The maneuver resulted in a temporary suspension of operations. This situation is in addition to adverse weather conditions around El Dorado International Airport in recent hours, with heavy rainfall and thunderstorms ,” Aeronautica Civil said in a statement.
Aerocivil therefore recommends that users keep in touch with their airlines regarding possible flight schedule changes that may be affected by this incident.
Colombia has invested 655 billion pesos in 30 airports

The second is the completion of the Lima taxiway, the construction of a box culvert (overpass) and additional works at a cost of $66,775 million. Finally, the third project is to carry out integrated maintenance of the search and rescue service, the control tower and the air navigation control center, the cost of which is 3449million dollars.
