Great Spot!
Visited Dorado for two nights, great eats, nice town perfect beach for our family of 8. Not crowded during the weekdays, super close to restaurants and the sand in the ocean was super soft. Interesting green seaweed but it didn’t interrupt our swim. Great Spot. Not giving it a superb review as there are so many nice beaches in PR

Beautiful photo spot
This is the most identifiable photo spot in Dorado! Wear sturdy shoes and then take the short walk around a little bay and across the rocks to the outcrop that looks like an oxhead with an eye (hence the name). With the ocean in the background one way, or palm trees the other, you’ll get wonderful photographs.

Great for Snorkeling
Clear waters and hidden from public view so it will probably be empty. Even though the beach is behind a gated community, the security guard has to let you walk into the beach according to the law. Or you can just swim there from the Ritz Carlton.

The beach is located next to the port, there is also a cafe nearby. You can rent a sunbed with an umbrella. Very pleasant and clean sand and easy access to the water, perfect for families with children.

The best beach in the Canary Islands
2016 • For two
Beautiful from all sides: whether you look from above, from the beach itself to the sides (and there are luxurious flowering and greenery around), from the water…
Comfortable (breakwaters dampen waves, the bottom is gentle, but not for long, the water is the purest and most transparent, the sand is soft and clean, crabs live on the stones of the breakwaters on the left, hermit crabs live on the right, fish swim in small flocks (large ones are caught from the outside of the breakwaters). 0073 Two cafes at the top without intrusive barkers organically fit in and complement the beach environment.
The stones with which the beach is fenced protect from the constant wind (if necessary).
There are sun loungers with umbrellas (for a fee or from hotels, they didn’t use them, like 7 euros a day, but I’m not sure), one shower (which really closes early – like hours at 18-30, which, of course, is not very convenient for fans of it evening swim).
In the evening, by the way, there are even fewer people than during the day (even less in the water).
Parking is free at the top (along a pleasant shady path) next to the Hesperia Playa Dorada hotel, there were almost no problems with places (the main thing is not to park – even for a few minutes – in the wrong places – the police arrive instantly and parking becomes very expensive, I saw).

Too busy
Feb. 2020 • For two
Very busy. Could hardly find a place to sit. Lots of screaming kids. If you want to sunbathe calmly, this is not the place for you. No shower to wash your feet.
