Akumal Beach

On the Mayan coast, Akumal Beach, which means “Land of the Turtles”, fascinates with its unique view and attracts tourists and visitors. This beach got its name for a reason. Sea turtles go to this land to lay their eggs. There you can see marine life – the owners of this beach. This place is surrounded by incredibly beautiful coral reefs that can be seen while diving and swimming. There are many types of fish in the waters. If you are traveling with children, this place is ideal for relaxing and it is easy to find a free place even on weekends.

Zipolit Beach

Zipolit Beach has been quite a popular place where hippies have been gathering for over 20 years since the 60s of the last century. It was the heart of free love and a famous counterculture hotspot where hippies from all over gathered. This is the first nudist beach in the country, although not all sunbathers were without clothes. Today, this beach does not attract many hippies, but here you can also find people who dedicate themselves to yoga or surfing. Zipolit Beach attracts its tourists with its beauty and desertedness. Here you will really escape the big crowds and constant city noise. Playa del Amor

Easily accessible by boat from the pier at Cabo San Lucas. This is a very famous Mexican beach. Often referred to as “Lover’s Beach”, a romantic setting graces the beautiful Land’s End rock. Keep in mind that the tides are quite calm on the Pacific coast, we advise you to enter the water in the area of Bahia de Cabo San Lucas. The side of Cortes here is also ideal for scuba diving, more often locals have a rest. Although getting here is quite difficult, the result will exceed all your expectations.

Playa de Tecolote

Playa de Tecolote is one and the same It is a bustling, fun beach in La Paz overlooking the uninhabited island of Espiritu Santo. Playa Maroma Beach

Playa Maroma, located on the Mayan coast, is one of the ten best beaches in the world. It is two miles long and is part of a resort hotel in Catalonia. In the area of this beach you can find only luxurious villas and hotels with a magical view of the sea.

Ziggy Beach

Ziggy Beach is very popular on the Mayan coast. With a variety of marine life and given the fabulous beauty of the corals and reefs, this is a great place for kayaking and snorkeling. This place is famous for various active leisure activities: kayaking, sailing, water skiing, etc. There are many rental points for yachts, boats for a fairly small price. There are many beautiful and cozy cafes for you, where you can have a tasty snack during your vacation.

Paamul Beach

Paamul Beach, located north of Puerto Aventuras, is a mixed sand and limestone beach. The fact that shoes are required here discourages many tourists and makes Paamul beach less crowded than other neighboring beaches. However, despite this slight downside, the coral reef here is fascinating and scuba divers and snorkellers alike can explore the amazing array of exotic fish and other marine life on the seabed. Paamul Beach is home to several bars, souvenir shops and luxury restaurants, and there is also a swimming pool in case you want to avoid salt water or spiky sand.

Isla Holbox Beach

A few hours drive from Cancun is a small island called Isla Holbox. It is called the hidden gem of the Yutaka Peninsula. There are deserted beaches, shallow waters and a calm atmosphere. For tourists who are looking for tranquility, the great news is that there is little traffic here. The many scattered beaches are great for swimming in the crystal clear waters. In addition, festivals and other colorful events are held here very often and on a large scale. You can become a member of one of them and get an unforgettable experience.

Puerto Vallarta – beaches, yachts and cinema

    Puerto Vallarta

One of the most charming Mexican cities with a distinctive flavor. From Mexico City, you can get here in different ways, starting with a bus flight and ending with a plane trip.

    • The city was founded in the middle of the 19th century, and got its name in honor of the governor Ignacio Vallarta. The resort was built on the shores of Bandares Bay and is famous for its beautiful beaches.
    • Here you can enjoy walking along the narrow ancient streets lined with stones, taking pictures of tiled roofs, climbing vegetation, the Church of the Virgin of Guadeloupe.
    • But, in addition to historical places, there are also modern hotels where travelers will be pleased to have a rest. The local port will also please – tourists come to see the picturesque picture. Huge liners, beautiful yachts, and fishermen’s boats stand at the piers.

In the 1960s, the film Night of the Iguana was filmed in this city. This film won two Oscars. Perhaps it was from those times that the popularity of Puerto Vallarta began. Not only residents of Mexico, but also tourists from distant countries began to flock here.

Those who will relax in one of the luxury hotels will sunbathe on a private beach. But even if you stay in a modest hotel, you will be able to enjoy a beach holiday – the coastal zone is large, it will be enough for everyone.

    Ixtapa – Disney-style water park

    Ixtapa

Once the Aztec empire, later one of the major ports of New Spain. Ixtapa will remind a modern tourist of a fishing village. There are practically no high-rise buildings here, but the breath of antiquity is alive.

You can wander around all day, looking into small shops, stay for a long time in family restaurants with their homely atmosphere.

There are also beautiful golf courses and a huge water park designed in the style of Disney cartoons. There is also a pool with artificial waves, and a jacuzzi, and a whole pirate village. And, of course, a beach holiday will not disappoint. The water is warm, the sand is clean, it is possible to swim on a yacht or go diving.

Isla Mujeres – the white sand of the famous island

    Isla Mujeres

The name translates as the Island of Women. And all due to the fact that a large number of female figures made of ceramics have been preserved here. They were made back in the time when the Maya Indians lived here.

The island covers an area of 16 square kilometers. There are beautiful beaches, a real jungle that will be difficult to overcome without a guide, ancient buildings have been preserved, for example, Ixchel Castle. But there are also enough hotels of the 5 * category here. So you can enjoy the Mexican flavor and at the same time indulge in exquisite comfort.

The island constantly hosts various holidays, shows, and if it is better to stay in an air-conditioned room during the hot part of the day, then you can enjoy plenty of nightlife.

The nature here is also good, which is worth, for example, the migration of whale sharks. Huge animals swim at this time near the island.

Holbox Island – peace and quiet

    Holbox Island

Although the name of the island does not sound very pleasant to the ear of a person who knows Spanish – Black Hole – in fact, this is a very pleasant place. There is only one city here, it is small in size, to get to know it, neither public transport nor a personal car is required.

But here – in peace and quiet – you can have a great rest, admiring the unusually beautiful landscapes. Travelers are very fond of this place, and many come here regularly. Hotels are mostly located on the shore, so you can admire the view of the blue expanse of water directly from the windows of the rooms.

If you want to visit Holbox, it is best to plan your trip for the month of May. Then there is a chance to see the sharks and whales that swim by here at this time of the year.

It is also worth visiting the bird sanctuary to get acquainted with unusual birds. Some species are not found anywhere else on the planet. The sea water here is very clean, you can swim with great pleasure, but during scuba diving you are unlikely to see anything interesting. The bottom here is sandy, there are no picturesque corals, and there are not so many fish.

    Los Cabos – luxury holidays

Luxury resort with high prices. There are always a lot of wealthy Americans here. On average, a vacation will cost you about 30 percent more than other resorts in Mexico.

There are beautiful golf courses waiting for players, and a huge stretch of coastline – the beaches cover about 80 km. Divers will enjoy clear aquamarine waters and underwater landscapes, surfers will find places where there are always waves, and those who come for beautiful pictures will visit Playa del Amor.

It rarely rains in Las Cabos, in a dry climate the heat is more bearable. You can take a trip through the desert in a jeep, or go out to sea on a ship to watch the whales.

Manzanillo – the symbol of the resort

    Manzanillo

A very interesting city, and you will not regret if you visit here. It was founded in the Middle Ages. The coastal zone consists of three bays, and for a long time Manzanillo has played an important role as a major port.

    • Tourists have the opportunity to see the historical part of the city. It will also be very interesting to visit the archaeological museum, where hundreds of finds are stored – from weapons to jewelry. Particularly impressive is the burial of an Indian leader with an imitation of a dungeon, where the bodies of faithful slaves also rest.
    • At the same time, this city is a modern resort. There are excellent hotels, many restaurants where amazingly delicious shellfish dishes are prepared. Also here, in handicraft shops, you can buy original souvenirs made by local craftsmen.
    • The symbol of the resort is the sailfish. There is even a sculpture dedicated to her on the main square of the city. Fishermen come from afar to catch this amazing fish in local waters.
    • The complex “Fairies” also glorified the city, as if descended from the pages of oriental fairy tales.
    • New facilities are emerging in Manzanillo that can attract tourists, and the popularity of the city is growing all the time. And here, almost all days of the year are sunny, rains are extremely rare, so nothing will interfere with your rest.

Veracruz – economical vacation, delicious cuisine

    Veracruz

Most often, not residents of other countries come to rest in Veracruz, but the Mexicans themselves. You can swim in the sea, go diving and save money. Prices are moderate.

Going here, you need to carefully consider the choice of time of year for recreation. You can get during the period of strong winds and heavy rains. It is best to come here during the high season, which lasts from December to March, or during the summer months. Climatic conditions will be worse in summer, but still sunny days are more likely than in spring or autumn.

    • Veracruz will surprise you with its exquisite colonial architecture. The city is modern, port. You can find good hotels, try Mexican cuisine. The local coffee is also famous.
    • If you imagine beaches with white sand, then Veracruz will be a little disappointed: the sand here has a gray tint.
    • But the sea is clear, and diving, especially on the islands, will please. If you have not dived before, you will be taught how to do it here. The necessary equipment can be rented.
