Play Isla Verde is amazing! so close to everything, restaraunts, stores, hotels, airbnb. You can almost be sure to run into someone you know at this beach. And its a few minutes away from SJU airport..

Perfect place to pull off and enjoy the shore. Its a great long stretch of shore to walk but don’t expect to find seashells. It has a large parking lot and outdoor bathrooms.

Isla Verde has a wide, tropical beach in the heart of the city. One of the best beaches in the metropolitan area, Isla Verde is golden-sand shores are framed with tall palm trees, hotels, restaurants, and shops.
It is also home to some of the best high-end hotels in the city, plus a long stretch of sun-kissed public beach complete with toilet and shower facilities
We were there at sunset time so we did not go into the water. but walking on fine sand with your better half – hits differently.
Beach is divided into three main beaches:
Pine Grove, where locals go surfing
Alambique, a more relaxed strip of sand, and
Balneario de Carolina is a more relaxed location with lifeguards and parking spaces.
It is much closer to the main San Juan airport and a bit closer to the El Yunque rainforest. Also, pet friendly- we saw many four-legged friends in the water.

Gorgeous Beach & Pretty Water

A must go to beautiful, clean beach in Puerto Rico! Water was super blue and pretty with palm trees.
It wasn’t crowded at all either. We ended up coming here after lunch at Ocean Lab Brewery.

After visiting many beaches on the island, we keep coming back. This beach has everything it has beautiful white sand, clean calm warm water. Nearby parking, you can rent chairs and umbrellas. It’s convenient because they sell drinks so you don’t have to come prepared.

Amazing Family Oriented beach.

This was a beach I went to several times during my stay.
Nice sand, seems family oriented, you will see a lot of families out enjoying the sun and water. Lots of parents teaching their kids how to surf.
There seems to be only one hotel on the beach, so it isn’t overcrowded. Amazing chill beach, soft sand. I went running along the beach as well, again awesome experience.
This is the quintessential non-tourist laid back beach.
The bugs on this beach did eat me up tho, but I will definitely come to this beach when I visit PR again.
