  Perfect place to pull off and enjoy the shore. Its a great long stretch of shore to walk but don’t expect to find seashells. It has a large parking lot and outdoor bathrooms.

One of the best beaches in the metropolitan area, Isla Verde is golden-sand shores are framed with tall palm trees, hotels, restaurants, and shops. It is also home to some of the best high-end hotels in the city, plus a long stretch of sun-kissed public beach complete with toilet and shower facilities
  We were there at sunset time so we did not go into the water. but walking on fine sand with your better half – hits differently.
  Beach is divided into three main beaches:
  Pine Grove, where locals go surfing
  Alambique, a more relaxed strip of sand, and
  Balneario de Carolina is a more relaxed location with lifeguards and parking spaces.
  It is much closer to the main San Juan airport and a bit closer to the El Yunque rainforest. Also, pet friendly- we saw many four-legged friends in the water.

  This is one of the best beaches that we went to. Getting there was crazy because of gps directions. Parking was hectic at 1st. We found a spot by the side of the rode and a taxi driver honked at us to come over. He explained that we may get a ticket or towed there because of the yellow lines painted on the curb. Even though ma y people still parked there , we didn’t want to risk it. He said to go to the CVS on the corner and into their parking lot . They had plenty of public parking . We only paid $7.50 for about 3 hours. The walk wasn’t far either. We stopped at cvs for some snacks and even though the lines were long they moved fast. The employees were super nice!
  I wish we were more prepared with a cooler , umbrella and stuff like that but as visitors of Puerto Rico , we just didn’t have any of that . We were excited to see that they renter chairs at $5 and Umbrellas at $15 but they were out of Umbrellas unfortunately for us. Either way ,that didn’t matter ,the view was wonderful! No wonder it’s called Isla Verde . The water a beautiful hint of green, the sad was soft and white and the temperature when swimming was perfect ! We loved it! 😍
  After a while we went to stand where they sold fried finger foods. I just know one was a meat empanada and it was delicious. We had 2 plates and a bottle of water and that cake out to $11 which was not bad at all.
  So our whole trip to the beach was $18.50
  Very much recommended beach to visit!

  Coming from NYC, this is one of the best beaches I’ve been to. The sands are gorgeously colored and kept completely free of trash. The water is clear and the prettiest shade of turquoise and dark blue, not being too cold or too hot here in July. The backdrop js also gorgeous with San Juan’s buildings behind it all. 10/10!

So the hotel views are as advertised, all very pretty. Unfortunately, where it really matters – quality of sleep and quality of service, this hotel falls flat. I can accept that it is a resort RIGHT next to the airport. Yes, you will hear planes all night long. I expected as much. What I didn’t expect was the absolutely terrible beds. Hard as a rock. Worst I’ve experienced in recent memory at any hotel. I’ve slept on camp mattresses that are more comfortable. To make it worse, the sheets are scratchy and stiff. Yes, you’ll get hit left and right with fees. All that’s in the fine print and I expected. But if you think you’re getting a true resort experience for those extra fees, you’re sorely mistaken. We made the mistake of going to the outdoor bar area for a casual dinner as a family. Having spent a week in Puerto Rico, we came to expect that things move at a slightly slower pace. We did not expect it would take a full hour for them to make three pizzas. Those in our party that ordered non-pizza items had them brought done as they were made (no one getting their food at the same time) so by the time the pizzas arrived, half of us had finished eating 30 minutes prior. The manager did offer to comp us a drink (an Arnold Palmer) and then they proceeded to take 15 minutes to bring that out as well. Other not-high points to consider: – the room has very poor air circulation. If you’re sharing a room, half will be baking and the other half will be freezing – also, if sharing a room, know that if your partner goes up to use the bathroom during the night, you WILL be woken up because for some inexplicable reason, the bathroom door has frosted glass in it. So turning on the bathroom light floods the bedroom with light as well – the beach is underwhelming by comparison to many of the other beaches we saw in PR. – they claim the parking is $25 a night. We were charged $43. Maybe there’s some super-secret trick to not being overcharged. At 4AM when rushing to catch a flight, I couldn’t figure it out. – the included body wash reeks of what can only be described as “teenage boy Axe Body Spray”. It smells so very strongly of men’s cologne. Best part of our stay was checking out and being rid of this place. Thankfully we only stayed one night. If we had booked for a whole week, we’d probably have been hunting for a new place to stay after that first night. It’s 100% not worth the convenience in proximity to the airport. Find another place to stay.

Pros:The staff was so friendly and helpful. They were also very accommodating. The rooms were clean. We received a free drink voucher and a $5 voucher for the casino.

Cons:The location is not the best. It is isolated from other hotels, there were a few restaurants to choose from, you can hear the planes taking off from all parts of the hotel. The surrounding buildings are unpleasant to look at.

Pros:The room was very spacious for a family of 4. Food options are good as well with a couple of restaurants. A good stopping point for a day if you are on your way elsewhere. Very close to beach.

Cons:Casino in hotel means that there’s always a buzz in the lobby area. Though it is set apart so was not a big deal.

Cons:Remodeling job in progress above the first room they gave us, the noise was disturbing, room was outdated. The second room they gave us, after our complaint was on a higher floor and recently updated. Why not gave a clean, updated and silent room on first instance?
