I went to see the lighthouse they showed me some paperwork that said no charge for the light house. And said no you have to pay $17.50 includes the entire. The park is kid themed not worth your time…..

The facility isn’t being kept up and you can’t go into the top of lighthouse. We drove from Dorado and it was a waste of time and money. I Would not recommend.

Absolutely not for adults. The facility was mostly closed in November, and the entrance fee was $26 for two adults. This is the most we paid for any entrance on our 20 days in the area. The…

“Late-19th Century Lighthouse”

One of the most recognizable landmarks in Arecibo, this lighthouse was constructed and first lit in 1898 by the Spanish government, which was in control of the island at the time. A beautiful example of neoclassical architecture, the lighthouse measures up to 46 feet (14 meters) in height with a hexagonal tower that houses its lantern. A victim of rampant vandalism, it laid in a state of ruin until 2001 when it was restored by a private body. The lighthouse currently houses a small marine museum that features exhibits on local marine memorabilia, lighthouse history, and other interesting artifacts.

Arecibo ( Arecibo ) is a port city in Puerto Rico. Located in the north-central part of Puerto-Rico on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean ( Atlantic Ocean ).

The resort attracts fans of outdoor activities and speleology. On the territory of the city and its environs there are many caves that are covered with coniferous forests. Almost all caves are equipped for descents and people staying in them. The most famous – La Cueva del Indio and Cueva Ventana . On the walls of the cave La Cueva del Indio , travelers will see drawings and writings of ancient Indians who lived long before Christ. e.

Hiking, trekking and hiking routes are laid out for active vacationers, there are paths for cycling and horseback riding.

Beach lovers are recommended to visit the city beach ( La Poza Beach ). Of the water activities, surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing, diving, and fishing are popular. Catch a wave of tourists and their fellow travelers will be taught at school Atlantic Surf & Bodyboarding School . Scuba diving equipment can be rented at Xtreme Divers . Vacationers will be offered to fly on a hang glider at Aventuras Borincanas .

At the end of the 19th century, the Spaniards built a lighthouse in Arecibo ( Arecibo Lighthouse ), which was automated in the middle of the 20th century. The lighthouse is still in use today. It is surrounded by the City Historical Park ( Arecibo Historical Park ). Of the religious sights on the trip, we advise you to visit the cathedral Arecibo ( Catedral San Felipe Apostol ).

The city is known for its eponymous observatory ( Arecibo Observatory ) located 16 km away, which has the world’s largest radio telescope and satellite dish. The area of the plate is 73,000 m2. Its depth is 50.9 m.

Those who take their children with them on vacation should visit the amusement park Fun Valley Park .

For fans of shopping organize tours in Puerto Rico Premium Outlets , which is located 15 km from the city.
