Pros:The hotel lobby is beautiful. The hotel has everrything you need and service was great. Staff was extremely helpful and very nice from check in to check out.

Cons:Some areas need repair. Example, the pool is beautiful, but the grout has black stuff on it and chipped. Also, we had issues with card for garage and hotel room. Twice, we were stuck at exit gate of garage. We had to park car and go to cashier and hotel front desk to sync the cards.

Pros:Updated, modern, clean room. Nice large bathroom. Bed is comfortable.

Cons:Shouldn’t have to pay for premium wifi. The tv channels were all blurry. Water pressure was terrible. Breakfast choices were only overpriced restaurants that were terrible. Don’t recommend eating anywhere on the hilton grounds. I arrived early and was told I would be called or texted when a room was available. I never was and was watching the front desk as others checked in. Not good customer service. The a/c is motion activated so it won’t keep the room cold if there isn’t movement which sucks when you come in from the hot humidity of San Juan and it wouldn’t cool down as much as the thermostat said it was set to. The room was hot for me. There is no noise buffering between the walls I heard conversations and music playing in the next room or as people walked down the hallway.

Pros:Let me start by saying that I am the type of person that reads negative reviews and most of the time ignores them because I feel some people can never be happy or they paid the price of a 2 star resort and expected services and amenities of a 6 star resort, that is not the situation with me and the Caribe Hilton. Also, I am not a newbie when it comes to travel. I cannot possibly fathom why someone would stay at this resort instead of going to an all inclusive in Aruba, Jamaica, River is Maya, etc… an all inclusive would be less than half the cost when considering food and drink (no exaggeration). Let me put it this way, if the Caribe Hilton was an all inclusive, it would be my least favorite all the resorts that I’ve been to but it is not all inclusive and you get price gouged with food and drink. Way, way, way too expensive for the value. You are not within walking distance to anything worth noting. Some will tell you that Old San Juan is within walking distance, that’s bullcrap, unless you are a person that runs a couple miles every day it is not. It is close to a half hour walk. Who the hell wants to walk a half hour in 86 degree weather then walk up and down the hilly streets of Old San Juan all day then walk another half hour back to the hotel? The city did put in an awesome bicycle path so I guess you could do that, we didn’t want to have to worry about them getting stolen while we shopping or eating. I enjoyed Old San Juan but if I wanted to visit again, it would be by a shore excursion while on a cruise. Our room was nice and clean. There were not that many people at the resort, wonder why, but you still couldn’t get a good seat at the pool or Lagoon. The pools were small and freshwater and I worried because they didn’t have chlorine the type of germs and things that were in it. The hotel was kind enough to put free fruit flavored water out for a few hours a day that ranged from refreshing to disgusting depending on the type of fruit. There was a wedding held there the Saturday we were there. An entire section of the beach was closed down and all the hammocks were removed because of the wedding. The hammocks were one of few things i enjoyed. At the end of the wedding, sometime between midnight and 1AM, someone decided to light off fireworks which I typically enjoy but not being woke out off a sound sleep and not going off feet from my room’s balcony.The staff were friendly and helpful except when I was asked at checkout if I had a nice stay and I said not really, the girl just smiled and handed me my check. That was the icing on the cake for me, not only would I never stay at this resort again I would never stay at a Hilton again. For the grande finale, this hotel charges you a hotel fee on top of quoted price AND it is not cheap. Not sure if this is legal, but they know you can’t do anything but gripe and moan because it isn’t like you can walk to the hotel next door. Bottom line is if you are not concerned about money it’s great

Pros:I really love everything about the Caribe Hilton: the lovely and calm beach, the food, the location, etc. I first came here in 1976 on my honeymoon and have returned twice! Lovely gardens and great service.

Cons:Prices are very high, especially breakfast!

Pros:I like the exclusive beachfront and pool area with the view and close proximity to old San Juan.

Cons:The staff was rude and sarcastic except for two which I came across towards the end my stay but far in between. Was treated as if we didn’t matter since my arrival. Was told I could check in early as long as I paid a $75 fee when I spoke to them over the phone a day earlier and once I arrived was told I had to wait and I waited 6 hours.

Pros:The location was excellent: right between old San Juan and Condessa. The pool was small but it was made for hanging around and sunning. Beautiful old ruins right next to the hotel made it picturesque. My view of the sea was beautiful.

Cons:Pool food was a bit oily.

Hilton enters the Caribbean and Latin America with 11 new hotel openings

Hilton celebrates mid-2022 with continued growth momentum in
Caribbean and Latin America (CALA). For the first six months
2022, the company opened 11 new hotels, increasing its CALA portfolio to
more than 190 hotels, representing nearly 15% of Hilton’s presence outside
USA.

Thanks to its aggressive expansion plans, including the construction
105 properties, Hilton’s deep-seated commitment to development in the region
stronger than ever as the company looks to open its 200th hotel in
University of California by the end of 2022.

“We are always looking for opportunities to
expanding Hilton’s presence in the Caribbean and Latin
America, working with outstanding owners to represent the right brand
in the right market to meet the needs of modern
travelers around the world,” said Juan Corvinos, Sr.
Vice President, Development, Architecture and Construction, Caribbean and Latin
America, Hilton.

During the first half of 2022, Hilton opened 11 hotels with over
than 2100 numbers of seven brands and six countries in CALA, bringing its portfolio to
more than 190 hotels and resorts with over 35,000 guest rooms
in 27 countries and territories. At the same time, the company confirmed plans to
opening 15 more hotels in the second half of 2022 and signed 15 new
development agreements, resulting in its portfolio of 105
projects with nearly 15,750 numbers.

Highlights in the first half of the year include:

all-inclusive portfolio in the Caribbean and Latin America up to 10
resorts with the opening of the Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya resort in April 2022
All-Inclusive with 735 rooms – Hilton’s first all-inclusive offer in
Tulum and the largest resort company in the Caribbean and Latin
America. With this latest opening, Hilton now offers six options
all inclusive in Mexico, two in the Dominican Republic and one each in Curaçao
and Jamaica.

Conrad Hotels & Resorts, one of Hilton’s three luxury brands,
announced the opening in January 2022 of the Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya hotel, the first
Mexican hotel in the Caribbean. This luxurious hotel with a bold
design, gourmet cuisine, sustainable development and transformative
experience laid the foundation for the expansion of Hilton in Tulum, one of the main

opened its first hotel in the Caribbean and Latin America – Tru by Hilton
Criciuma with 154 rooms. The brand plans to continue expanding CALA with seven
projects under development, including the opening of Tru by Hilton Monterrey
Fundidora, scheduled for the end of this year.

In Peru, Hilton opened its 10th hotel in the country, Hampton by Hilton
Arequipa, after the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Trujillo and Hilton Garden Inn Lima
Miraflores.

Curio Collection by Hilton welcomed Botanika Osa Peninsula, Curio
Collection by Hilton in Costa Rica and Royal Palm Galapagos, Curio Collection by
Hilton, becoming the first international hotel brand in the Galapagos Islands
and making Ecuador the 30th brand welcoming country and territory
travelers.

Rok Hotel Kingston, Tapestry Collection by Hilton opened to celebrate
return of Hilton to the capital of Jamaica and the first hotel of the Tapestry Collection brand
by Hilton in the Caribbean.
