Description of the walk

We invite you for an hour walk along the Khimki reservoir from the berths of the Northern River Station of the capital reconstructed in 2020! From the board of the ship you will have wonderful views of the expanses of the only reservoir within the boundaries of Moscow, the building of the River Station, which is made in the shape of a huge ship, as well as snow-white cruise liners moored on the piers. On the way back, the ship will pass near the exposition of the Museum of the Navy – a diesel submarine of project 641B and a unique combat ekranoplan “Eaglet”.

  The nearest metro station is Rechnoy Vokzal on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line. Exit from the last car of the train from the center, then (exit No. 2) to Friendship Park. In the park, turn right and move towards the Leningradskoe shosse, which you need to cross through the pedestrian underpass. Then go through the park to the building of the River Station, go down to the left to the berthing area and walk about 200 meters to berths 7, 8, 9, 10, 11.

  Northern River Station is located on the Leningradskoe Shosse, three and a half kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road, access to the station from the highway when driving to the center of Moscow. When driving from the center, to get to the river station, you need to turn around at the junction with Belomorskaya street. Paid parking is located in the Park of the Northern River Station, the cost of parking is 200 per hour.

Snegiri-type motor catamarans are comfortable two-deck modern pleasure boats built since 2016 at Russian shipyards in Bely Gorodok and Rostov-on-Don. Motor ships are equipped with powerful and almost silent engines, thrusters, and passengers are provided with comfortable accommodation in the closed saloon of the main deck and on the open deck, over the aft part of which there is an awning that protects from the sun and precipitation.

The length of the catamaran is 25 meters, the width is 9 – such dimensions allow the ship to approach all the capital’s berths. All vessels have a class of the River Register R 1.2 and can be safely operated on rivers, canals and small reservoirs.
