This place has a lot of stuff to entertain a family in different ways. It has the Don Maceta restaurant which serves outstanding local flavor food and fish. Prices are reasonable as the portions are more than adequate (I went to other places with same type.of food and prices were more expensive for less amount of food) . The food is exquisite and the lemonade is super yummy and freshly squeezed.
Then they have also the Don Frappe and Donald Paleta which makes refreshing drinks and ice cream.
They also have a small amusement park with Zip lines, bump cars, race car go carts and other carnival type games. It’s fun for the kids (but will get pricey if you ride all the stuff they have).

Went on a “roadtrip” with my brother, sister-in-law, and my son to Tres Hermanos Beach in Añasco and got hungry and decided to go to Don Maceta because I had never been but my brother and his wife, had already been there a couple of times.

This place is a must see! It has an small amusement park, escape room, go karts, pizza place, Don Frappe place of course!, ice cream and fantastic Puerto Rican food at Don Maceta! We been here two days in a row! Don Frappe has every flavor imaginable or combo of toppings and flavors your heart desires. Honestly the best we’ve had.
Don Maceta, we ate EVERYTHING with el Carousel del Don and la Jaltera which was a little bit of everything. Great place for families. Clean bathrooms and facilities. Super sweet customer service!

The places have really good frappes and food. The prices aren’t that expensive. As for the speed of serving your food depend on how full the place is. Highly advice to go on weekdays for a faster service.

We had a lot of fun with the “Tres Cerditos” (3 little piggy). 3 or 4 people can eat with this one.

You definitely get a alot for what you order. Just honestly wish our Mojitos had more alcohol in it we didn’t even taste any to be honest. Besides that everything else was great!

They are losing the flavor over the quantity. Plates are huge but the food is either too salty or with weird flavors. Even the sangrias are huge with a 32 oz glass. It is not the place I used to visit.

We’ve been coming for years! Amazing place to come experience with the whole family! They have appetizers, food and activities for the whole family. Following covid restrictions and protocols!
However, the last couple times we have visited the food hasn’t been the greatest and the service is less stellar than our original visits to the restaurant and small frappe stand.

Honor your posted hours. We spent almost $2500 on food alone. Not counting the admission for the rides for our kids which closed 45 minutes earlier than posted. Posted: “rides until 9pm per PR mandate.” Rides closed at 8:15. I asked why and was dismissed. Our kids were sad because we promised them more rides after dinner. The food and service was great. I don’t want to bash them completely. Great value. But it is a child driven attraction. They treated us poorly in that respect. Don’t close early because your employees want to go home. That was the energy we sensed.

Be aware that this is a tourist trap! We ordered The Padrote, a close to 90 dollar plate that feeds 4 to 6 people. While the presentation of the food is amazing, the food quality is outright gross. Let’s begin.
    1. The fried batata is not really batata. It’s actually sweet potato waffle fries right out of a box/bag. They were served cold and soggy.
    2. The smell of the presentation lends itself to think that the meat is grilled. Nope, it’s boiled, bland, and lacks the grilled colors. The chicken is boiled and served with onions and garlic. The same with the so called “Churrasco.” We asked for it medium and it was well, boiled, chewy, and bland.
    3. The three so-so items that were not returned were the rice, mofongo, and the chuleta can-can. These were actually eateable. The chuleta lacked the crispy skin, but it was seasoned and well cooked.
    4. The Padrote consists of 4 different types of meats: chicken, “churrasco”, chuleta can can, and BBQ ribs. It is a huge metal apparatus where the meats, mofongo, arroz mamposteao, tostones and “batata” fries are served. How it made its way to our table within 5 minutes is beyond me.
My final analysis of this place is that the food is not fresh and everything is cooked well ahead of time and then reheated. When your appetizer is served well after the meal is served, it’s a clear indication that they are in the business of just getting you in, serving poor quality food, taking your money, and getting you out quickly to sucker in the next chump.

  • Machete / Machete / Articles / Newslab.Ru

    06.09.2010

Directed by Robert Rodriguez, Ethan Manikis
Cast: Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Steven Seagal, Robert De Niro, Jeff Fahey, Lindsay Lohan, Don Johnson, Cheech Marin, Tom Savigny

    Runtime – 105 min

A feature-length movie based on a fake trailer, invented specifically for a dual project of two noteworthy post-modernists, within which they decided to pay tribute to the memory of bad old cinema – such a winding path was the film “Machete” on movie screens. It is clear that with such a level of conventionality, this is no longer a movie, but such a game of cinema – but the game, it must be admitted, is cheerful and incendiary.

The Mexican multi-station operator Robert Rodriguez, a man and a steamboat — a director, screenwriter, cameraman, editor, composer, owner of his own studio and special effects company — has been actively engaged in such unbridled games for the past few years. Every movie he has is another meta-experiment — he either turns a movie image into a moving comic book, or he grinds up the spy thriller genre for primary school age, or he is one of the first to start experimenting with the 3-D format.

Now here is “Machete”, a kind of cinematic analogue of the maxim “the boy said – the boy did”; promised his longtime sidekick and collaborator Danny Trejo to somehow turn the fake trailer about Machete, invented especially for Grindhouse, into a full-length movie – please hold on.

With this pedigree, “Machete” didn’t really have much of a chance of being anything other than a merry bloody mess. The video itself, from which Rodriguez had to start, was a grotesque parody of his own work – Trejo, in fact, played an exaggerated version of his own character from “Desperate”, a ruthless killer with daggers. In the full meter, Rodriguez has to exaggerate the already exaggerated – it turns out such unbridled trash cubed, pure exploitation, existing solely for the sake of the insane and slightly cannibalistic “fan”.

It is clear that if you try to look at Machete from at least some serious positions, then you can find a sea of claims against him. For example, it is clear that a short bloody slapstick does not stretch very well for a full meter. In some places, Rodriguez obviously pulls time until the required timing, and in other places, on the contrary, he suddenly breaks down into unnecessary details (the whole story of the transformation of the heroine Lindsay Lohan into a nun with a magnum seems to be pasted in from some other film by misunderstanding). Or it is noticeable that Rodriguez borrows a lot from himself – scenes with a street fight in the ring and an attack by armed bandits in the morning after night with a beautiful maiden happen here, it seems, at exactly the same moments in history as in Desperate. For a laugh, one of the street fighters is even named exactly the same as in Desperate. He is played by a completely different actor.

But watching Machete in this way is trying to play Rodriguez by the wrong rules that he follows. There is no need for any integrity of the saying “Machete” in the fig – this is a movie that exists solely for the sake of those moments in which you need to slap yourself on the knees and at the last second hold back the astonished and delighted “Well, fuck yourself!”, rushing out. There are more than enough of them here. The machete cuts down three heads in one fell swoop. The machete does the dude a fight without letting go of his burrito. Jessica Alba wakes up next to Machete and, um, checks. The priest takes out two shotguns from the trunk at once. Nurses with ultrasound. Steven Seagal with a machete in his belly. Machete doesn’t sms-it, Machete improvises. And so on.

And in the end, the most important, the only important question that decides anything in the case of Machete is how much you personally share Rodriguez’s boundless enthusiasm for the bad old thrash that he so lovingly revives and exaggerates in Machete “. If all his bloody experiments are worse than bitter radish, then, of course, there is nothing to do on the Machete. And if every severed limb, every fountain of blood and every bad joke still causes pure childish delight, then “Machete” is just for you.

Kocheryzhkin’s verdict – another not-quite-movie from Robert Rodriguez; rabid and bloody declaration of love in the bad old days

Beef Machete steak with free home delivery from VkusVill

    VkusVill

Legendary steak cut from the outside of the ribs. In this place there are muscles that are practically not involved in the movement of the animal. Therefore, the meat has a special fibrous structure, softness and juiciness. Cooking method: Wipe the steak with a paper or waffle towel. Place in a hot skillet without oil. Fry over medium heat: 3-4 minutes on one side and 2-3 minutes on the other (for the recommended medium cooking). Put the steak on foil, salt, pepper to taste, you can also add spices: oregano, dried garlic, paprika, ground onion or basil. Wrap the meat in foil for 1-2 minutes: this way it will be juicier – and after that you can serve it on the table. If the Machete is cooked on the grill, it is important to periodically turn the steak over to keep it from burning.
