The guides are very knowledgeable and it was a unique experience to be in the forest at night. So many frogs and we learned a lot! It was fun to swim at the river too.

El Yunque Rainforest Hiking Tour – Tours4Less PR

(Roundtrip Transportation from the San Juan area is Included).
Pick up will typically be at most 15-minutes before the tour starts, depending on where you’re staying.

El Yunque Rainforest Hiking Tour!

The hiking trail is considered to be moderately difficult (Level 4 of 5). You’ll hike up 500 feet at a 40-degree incline. After the roughly 45-minute hiking exercise, you’ll reach the Mt. Britton observation tower. It’s elevated at 3,087 feet over the sea level. And you’ll be rewarded with an amazing, 360-degree view of the Atlantic Ocean, metropolitan area, and Caribbean Sea. If you’re lucky, you can even see Puerto Rico’s islands of Culebra and Vieques!

After soaking in the view, you’ll visit the well-known La Coca Falls. It stands at 85 feet (26 meters) tall on a huge rock formation – a perfect backdrop to capture your time at El Yunque.

Then, you’ll visit a local, family-owned restaurant offering an array of authentic Puerto Rican cuisine such as rice & beans, chicken pork chops, cold coconuts. Be sure to try their “empanadas” – a local-favorite. You can also order piña coladas – Puerto Rico’s national drink! You’ll also have the opportunity to buy souvenirs – a great way to support local businesses.

Once you rejuvenate, you’ll go to one more stop! You’ll have the chance to swim right into El Yunque’s river. Río Mameyes, or Mameyes River, is designated as a Wild and Scenic River. This means the river is protected from overuse, instream developments and other impacts that could impact its scenic and recreational value.

For you, that means you can immerse yourself in beautiful, clear, refreshing water. And then you can sunbathe and relax – the perfect end to an active trip in El Yunque.

Notes:

  •  Will operate rain or shine.
  • We reserve the right to alter tour activity as required for everyone’s safety.

News / What to visit in Cuba

Delight and surprise will capture, and will not let go until the end of your vacation in Cuba. nine0003

Baracoa

This is an old and sweet city of Cuba. Cocoa has been grown here since the 19th century. In Baracao, you will see how sweets are made by hand and try at Casa del cacao. If you want to see how cocoa grows, go to a chocolate plantation at the foot of El Yunque mountain. Here, during a boat trip, you will see incredible landscapes on the mountain and try the local delicacy of palm leaves, coconut, honey and guava juice – cucurucho.

Las Terrazas

Located in the Sierra del Rosario Biosphere Reserve. To enjoy the local beauty, rent a bike or go hiking in the reserve. There you will meet the smallest bird in the world, the bee hummingbird and the Cuban whistler frog, which is the size of a fingernail. Also enjoy the marvelous orchid garden and the El Salto waterfall, swim in the lake and walk through the ruins of coffee plantations. If you want to visit this wonderful place, book a tour to Cuba at attractive prices and a direct flight from Moscow. nine0003

National Botanical Garden

The area of the garden is 600 hectares with 20 km of walking paths. Cacti and more than 500 species of orchids grow here. The park has 7 restaurants that serve Creole, vegetarian, children’s and Cuban cuisine. Bamboo Organic Restaurant is trendy and is located in a Japanese garden.

Guanaroca

This is a lake near the city of Cienfuegos. Pink flamingos live here. And to get to know them, rent a boat and take a walk on the lake. On the way back, take a walk through the botanical garden and visit the observation deck with wonderful views of the lake. Of course, you will not be able to swim in Guanaroca, as the lake is protected by law. Fortunately, Rancho Luna Beach is located nearby. nine0003

nine0002 Founded 500 years ago, Baracoa occupies a cozy area on the outskirts of Cuba. This was the reason for the issuance of commemorative postage stamps. Cubans approach the holidays with all responsibility, thinking through everything to the smallest detail. Traditional drinks and Cuban dishes prepared according to special secret recipes will be appreciated by gourmets.

Discovered by Diego Velasquez, a picturesque area located between two bays in the very east of the island of Cabo Maisi. It is the oldest colony in Cuba. Until the 60s of the last century, there was only one way to Baracoa – by water. But progress has reached these remote places, which has led to massive gatherings of tourists. nine0003

The island is called “high land” in the Taino language. And this is not surprising, because Santiago, with its palm trees, located along the seashore against the backdrop of Mount El Yunque, really seems to rise above the ground.

Beautiful city views, clean sea air and historical sights make Baracoa one of the most sought after resorts.
