Awesome trip! highly recommended! the crew was on point in everything!! they served mixed drinks and local beer on board, and a deli type lunch that was pretty good. The trip to the island was rough and many people got sick. I recommend u to get some preventive pills at the pharmacy before u go. Snorkeling was nice! I just wish we stayed longer at the beach, the 2 hours at culebrita went so fast (that is my only complaint) . The beach is a dream so beautiful truly espectacular!

The crew was amazing and Carlitos was excellent. He helped my parent in the water l, also help my 4 year old snorkeling. He was very friend and open to help in anything he could. The other two meme era of the crew (I forgot their names) were also amazing. Helped my father recuperate from a small fall. The entire experience was above expectations. Definitely recommend this excursion and I would use this service again and again. Worths the money.

Crew was 100% and more very very nice, always asking if you needed something. Smile on their face but you can see it was sincere. Made sure you had a good time and enjoyed yourself. Wish I could remember all of their names so I could write them. So glad my husband and I decided last minute to do this. Definitely did not regret doing this. If you can do it you won’t regret it in my opinion. We ate, drank and danced and had a beautiful view and my husband did snorkeling…..a win win

Islands of Puerto Rico | Fajardo Inn Resort

These nearby Islands of Puerto Rico, Culebra and Vieques, are well worth the trip to see! They can be reached by taking a 90 minute scenic ferry ride, or a 10 minute plane ride. There you can find a variety of shops, restaurants, beautiful beaches and sites that you will not find anywhere else.

Culebra, the closer and smaller of the two islands, is located about 25 miles off the east coast of Puerto Rico and about 10 miles north of Vieques. You may also hear it called Isla Chiquita or “Little Island.” In September 1882, construction of the Culebrita Lighthouse, about 3.5 miles off Culebra, began and it was the oldest operating lighthouse in the Caribbean until the United States Navy and Coast Guard closed it in 1975.

Today, Culebra is a popular weekend destination for Puerto Ricans and tourists alike. Culebra’s other visitors include the 50,000 birds that flock to the island to mate and take care of their young. The island is home to a National Wildlife Refuge and nature reserves and activities that could disturb the refuge or animals protected by it are prohibited.

In Culebra, you should visit Flamenco Beach during your visit: it’s about a mile long and rarely crowded, with plenty of great areas to go snorkeling and look at coral. Other beaches in Culebra include Brava, Resaca and Zoni. All of them are great for diving and snorkeling.

Vieques, part of the Spanish Virgin Islands, is also another favorite nearby island with beautiful white sandy beaches and is always rated among the top beaches in the Caribbean. Many of the beaches were named during the United States control of the area and still retain those names today. Red Beach and Blue Beach are just a few examples.

On Vieques, you can find beautiful palm-lined beaches such as Sun Bay, Media Luna and Navio. One of the biggest draws of these beaches is the lack of development and that the beaches are undisturbed by construction. Just keep an eye out for the wild paso fino horses that still roam free on the island.

In the town of Esperanza, you can board a boat at night that will bring you by Mosquito Bay or the Bioluminescent Bay. Mosquito Bay has a type of marine plankton that glows green and blue when it is disturbed—a beautiful and eerie sight!

Other nearby islands include: Icacos Island, Isla Palominos, Cayo de Luis Pena, but most visitors enjoy seeing Culebra and Vieques best and transportation to and from the islands is easy.
