I love Chinese food. As soon as I moved here, I began to look for a good Chinese restaurant with such cuisine that I would salivate and want to return there again and again. I tried many Chinese restaurants in Barcelona but many didn’t meet my requirements until one day I stumbled upon a little gem – a place called Chino Dong Lin.

It often happens that the best restaurants look modest and are located away from the tourist spots.

This applies to Dong Lin as well, but the good news is that a Chinese restaurant in Barcelona is only 10 minutes from the city center via metro (Green Line, L3) Poble Sec.

Another huge plus of this Chinese restaurant is the prices. They are much lower than what you would have to pay in tourist areas.

This is a review of the Chino Dong Lin restaurant and one of the dishes I recently had there.

(5 minutes walk from metro), be aware that Poble Sec has 3 exits, you need Manso is the nearest exit to the restaurant.

The interior of the restaurant is made in traditional Chinese style – unpretentious and spacious, with large tables that can accommodate a large company (more than 12 people at one table)

Kitchen

I started with traditional shrimp chips and decided to order a Chinese beer (Cerveza China) which was fresh, dry and cool.

For the first one I chose a very tasty soup sopa de wan tan .

Seaweed and pasta are added to a light seafood broth.

Main course

I was very hungry at the time, so I decided to get Tallarines Con Gambas (fried noodles with fresh shrimp). Once again, the dish was first class and satisfying.

Dessert
For dessert (or, as they call it in Spain, postre) I ordered deep fried bananas with honey, I have never tried anything like this. Since I have a sweet tooth, I really liked it.

This is, in my opinion, simply excellent value for money, especially considering that the food and service were very good.
