    Great

Balcony view was spectacular. Two pools and private beach, but a lot of waves/rocks so not good for swimming. Nice little restaurant. Great for weddings or large parties. Quaint for couples. Rooms were small, but cozy and well decorated. Ladies at the bar were a blast.

Not a lot of shopping/clubs in the area. Caves/ mall about 20 minutes away.

    Nice

The View was awesome. The walking and swimming were great. People were freindly. Very Relaxing but also rustic not very luxurious. The maid service was excellent. There are 3 wonderful dogs wild dogs who live there on the beach and around the hotel. My daughter got very attached and so did my wife. It was hard to leave them.

The continental breakfast consists of one loaf of white bread With either cheese whiz or jelly and when the bread was gone breakfast was over. The resteraunt advertises many dishes although they are closed during the week so you are on your own for all meals including breakfast. Bring a cooler Bring a little food & treats for the dogs. Besides the restaraunt being closed ….this is a wonderful place.

    Great

The view of the balcony was beautiful. The room was cold and clean. The hotel was very clean in general and the staff very nice. The restaurant had very good and cheap food. Beautiful views.

The bed was pretty hard.. but we were so tired, falling asleep wasn’t an issue. Breakfast service was very slow and wasn’t all that great. Everything else, wonderful

The most I liked from Hotel Guajataca was the impressionant view. The view from the balcony is really spectacular.

The hotel needs an urgent remodeling. The front of the rooms looks really ugly and deteriorated. The decoration at the loby can improve and the front desk is not a front desk, it is not visible at the first sight and seems like they don’t want anyone to see them. Great view but poor facilities.

    Very good

The view of the beach. The pools were kept clean and the air conditioning was nice. It was a very relaxing experience.

Only a small issue with the water heater that got solved and in their booking they should specify what do they mean by breakfast included. If the breakfast is continental don’t say is just toast and coffee. It would do good to them if they had a breakfast buffet. The wifi doesn’t reach most of the hotel rooms.

    Setting is beautiful.

Breakfast was loaf of bread, jar of cheeze whiz and unidentifed object floating in coffee pot. No pool towels… Wanted us to “bring them a used one” and they’d give us a clean one. Threadbare towels, minimal amenities, no resturant, very little security.

  • In total, the museum has 9 halls, occupying three floors. Get inspired at the Pablo Picasso House Museum. Walk through the rooms in which the brilliant artist lived as a teenager. Admire his early work, made with different materials and tools. Here you can see 29 paintings by Pablo and 4 paintings by his father, a teacher at the local art school.

Get to know the exhibits of the House of Man Domus or Casa del Hombre. A huge building designed by a Japanese architect reveals the secrets of man as a biological species. The interactive museum offers to get acquainted with the structure and features of the human body, the development of the embryo in the womb and the birth of a child. All exhibits can be touched, and the latest technology allows the visitor to get involved in the process of studying a person.

Dive into the underwater world at the Finisterra Aquarium. The outer water reservoirs of the interactive science center are connected to the Atlantic Ocean. nine0006

The aquarium is divided into thematic areas, each of which represents the inhabitants of the deep sea. The most popular of them are the Octopus Garden, the Nautilus Room, the Botanical Garden of the Galician Coast. Relax in the Menyes Nundes Park. One of the oldest gardens in the city was opened in the second half of the 19th century. Walk along the shady paths of the park, admire the flower clock, look into the luxurious rose garden, which has more than bushes. On the territory of the park you can see many beautiful sculptures of prominent people of Galicia. nine0006

And in its picturesque pond, there are carps and goldfish.

Try the local cuisine. Order the grilled squid, the octopus baked with cheese and spices, or the Galician pie, a thin puff pastry with various fillings. For dessert, try the almond tart, thin pancakes with cream served with cream and apples, or the Mondoñedo cake with almonds, pumpkin, chocolate and candied berries. Map of A Coruña.

Things to do in A Coruña, Spain

The British of the time also considered A Coruña a defeat: according to The Times, “the fact cannot be hidden… that we have suffered an ignominious disaster” [9nine]. Historian Charles Oman argues that Marshal Soult’s attack at A Coruña provided Moore and his soldiers with an opportunity to save their honor and dignity in a defensive battle[], by which the army was saved, albeit at the cost of the British general’s life. Moore was buried in a military cloak in the ramparts of the city. The funeral is commemorated in Charles Wolf’s famous poem, “The Burial of Sir John Moore after Coruña” [].

Charles Esdaile, in The Pyrenean War: A New History, writes: “Militarily Moore’s decision to retreat was probably wise enough, but otherwise it was a disaster…Being unable to appear in time…he then allowed Madrid to fall without firing a shot. and now the British seem to have given up on Spain altogether.” In addition, “even worse than the loss of life suffered by the Allies was the enormous damage done to Anglo-Spanish relations … De la Romana … openly accused Moore of betrayal and bad faith.” nine0006

And finally, “… the occupation by the French of the most densely populated region in all of Spain” []. Chandler states that the British Army was “…forced to retreat and evacuate by sea.” Also: “Madrid and the northern half of Spain were under the occupation of French troops” [].

Things to do in A Coruna, Spain

Fremont Barnes in Napoleonic Wars: The Pyrenean War – Fitchett, in How England Saved Europe, offers a more condescending opinion: “. .. in justification of Moore’s strategy, it can be said that he pulled such a formidable hostile force into this hilly corner of Spain, thereby preventing their swift movement to the south” []. Napier also muses: “The second thrust he [Napoleon] prepared to make when Sir John Moore’s march had diverted his attention from the south would doubtless place him in possession of the remaining great cities of the peninsula”[]. nine0006

However, in England the reaction to the news of the Battle of A Coruña and the successful evacuation of the army led to strong criticism of Moore’s campaigning, while in A Coruña his adversary Marshal Soult took care of Moore’s grave and ordered the erection of a monument in his honor [] [].

  • Please note that rice for paella can only be cooked from the right Spanish. It’s important to add spices to rice and in this dish, I’m talking about saffron and niora. If you talk about the traditional, classic paella recipe, then add seafood to the rice. If you want today in the Fatherland, you can try the author’s, avant-garde versions of paella, for example, with rabbit or shrimp. nine0006

    How to reach

What to try in Spain for a loan? It’s time to wash the tortilla.

Northern Spain Gijón Family Work Home

In simple words, it’s an omelet, a potato spread, a dish that is easy to prepare, to finish the sieve. Tortilla has preserved the traditional recipe to this day. As for the interpretation, name everything clearly – it looks like a round shape, like a small cake, then it’s a lot obscure to the tortillas. According to another version, General Thomas de Zumalasarregi invented a tortilla during the period of the Bilbao taxation, so that it would be quick and easy to slander the entire army. There is one more legend, it is true that the dish was invented by the cook Theodore Bardaji Mas. nine0006

In the 19th century, the tortilla recipe is included in the menu of a Spanish restaurant, which took part in the Paris International Exhibition. Korisno nobility: Bilbao – in detail about the largest place in the Basque Country. What to eat in Spain in hot weather? Wait a minute, only the inhabitants of spicy Andalusia could come up with a dish that replaced soup and cold drinks at once. Gazpacho is a cold tomato soup made from grated vegetables, which is a perfect match for baked goods.
