What’s your first impression of this bar?
Dark, dim, and a little grungy, with its scuffed checkerboard floors, worn old couches, peeling walls, and chalkboard menus, La Factoria feels like a clandestine underground speakeasy. At least it will if you can even find it—the bar is hidden in a nondescript old building with no sign out front. Just follow the crowd.

Who tends to hang out here?
Lots of locals and in-the-know tourists, all mingling nicely with cocktails in hand.

What kind of drinks is this place known for?
La Factoria is famous for taking Puerto Rican mixology to the next level—the cocktails are refreshingly simple but masterfully made. The signature drink, the Lavender Mule—a mix of vodka, ginger beer, and homemade lavender infusion—is the perfect way to kick off the night.

How’s the service?
Chatty and attentive, despite the crowded atmosphere.

What’s the bottom line?
Come for an unforgettable cocktail in an unpretentious environment. Added bonus: behind the main bar, you’ll find a door leading to a handful of other low-lit bars—and a dance floor.

La Factoría began as a nice, quiet speakeasy. But several expansions – and an infusion of Puerto Rican passion and music – has seen it become an epic venue. Pick your favorite room and enjoy!
Come here to get away from the cruise ship zombies or when you can’t listen to any more salsa. Great vibe, fancy drinks, delicious bites, and hip indie music. Mostly locals, from what I gathered.
A hipstery, speakeasy to hit with your crew. Warm up with a few cocktails in bar1, get cozy in wine bar2, groove to live salsa in bar3 to finally trip on to New York’sque house music in bar4. Cheers

Hijos de Borinquen is a handsome and delicious cocktail; yet you can’t go wrong with any of the choices. Great vibe, beautiful interior. One of the greatest bars I have ever been. Love this place.
Great cocktails in a vibrant, eclectic & classy scene every day of the week. Don’t stop at the first bar. There are 6 rooms with their own theme and vibe. I enjoyed an Old Cuban in La Cubanita.
Open the wooden door slightly behind the bar in the first bar, go into bar 2 (wine bar), and then again there is another slider door into bar 3 (music later evening and yet another bar). Fun!
If you’re in Puerto Rico you can’t miss La Factoria. Ranked one of the best bars in the world, it contains multiple themed bars & truly has something for everyone. Save enough time to explore them all
We had the octopus, a sandwich called la tripleta, beef sliders, Mediterranean pizza. All were very good I was frankly impressed by the quality of the food. I’m from Houston and a very spoiled foodie
Great, creative cocktails and a good selection of tapas, it was lovely on a weeknight because although there were actually people there it was comfortable and not crushed in w/ weekend warriors.
Great cocktail spot. Love the worn walls and cozy vibe. I hear there’s a separate space behind the bar that plays salsa too.
Order any of the signature cocktails. Meticulously crafted, they are all delicious and a feast for the eyes. Grab the table by the window if possible for people watching on the cobblestone streets.

At fisrt you see this small bar with few stool bars anf sofas but take a peak thru the wood door behind the bar to several rooms with diferent atmospheres.

‘s list of the World’s 50 Best Bars and New York’s Dante claim the coveted number one slot.
London and its abundance of high-end drinking establishments dominate the list, but Buenos Aires, Athens, Singapore and Mexico City also made the top ten.

Dante, which won the world’s best bar at the Spirited Awards in August and has moved up from 9th place in last year’s list. It also confirmed its reputation as a fresh and vibrant Greenwich Village bar with a penchant for very sophisticated cocktails.
