Not much sense in having both places in one go. Santo Domingo is an abandoned stone beach, I guess it was a tiny fishing port back then.
I enjoyed the Punta. It is possible to get down to the well formed by lava with a running pool of water. Cool.

Municipality belonging to the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Located in the northern part of the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands), 40 km west of the capital of the island. In 2009, the population of the municipality was 5487.
The economy of La Guancha, Tenerife is mainly based on agriculture. In total, there are 300 hectares of arable land, half of which is irrigated using a network of canals. The population of the municipality, not living in the city, is almost entirely employed in agriculture.
Family farms mainly grow potatoes, grapes, and fruit trees. Now many farms are also beginning to engage in animal husbandry. Among the traditional crafts, weaving and clay modeling stand out in particular.
Geographically, this municipality of Tenerife is located on a narrow strip of land with an area of 21.9 km², stretching along the sea and originating on the slopes of the Teide. It is one of the smallest municipalities in Tenerife. The soil here is rich in trachytes, which are the product of the activity of the Montaña Rayada volcano. Starting from the coastal zone, the territory of the municipality rises to a height of 300-400 m above sea level. The capital of the municipality is located at an altitude of 500 m. Here, up to 550 mm of precipitation falls annually, and the average annual temperature reaches 16 ° C. As you descend and approach the coast, the temperature gradually rises.
Historically, the most interesting for tourists is El Barrio de Santa Catalina, located on the coast.
Magnificent examples of 16th-century Canarian architecture have been preserved here. The most famous monument is the chapel, built in 1510 and destroyed by the flood of 1826. Later, the chapel of Santa Catalina was rebuilt in 1878, preserving the traditional style of Canarian architecture.
Every third Sunday in August, La Guancha hosts a festival dedicated to the patroness of these places, Virgen de la Esperanza (Virgin of Hope). During the solemn procession, young talents representing different settlements of the municipality perform on the main stage. At the end of the festival, a Queen is chosen from among them. January 18 is the Thanksgiving Day of the Virgen de la Esperanza. This ancient holiday is mentioned in parish documents from two hundred years ago. And in mid-November, the Descent of the Virgin of Hope is celebrated. Tourists are also interested in the holidays and celebrations held in the coastal zone of Santo Domingo. They are accompanied by festive processions and fireworks.
