Silent night

Originalmente escrita en alemán, ‘Stille Nacht’ fue compuesta en 1818 por Franz Xaver Gruber con letra de Joseph Mohr, y fue traducido al inglés en 1859. No está claro quién escribió la música o la letra de este himno. Los posibles candidatos incluyen al rey Juan IV de Portugal y John Francis Wade, mientras que los compositores Handel y Gluck han sido sugeridos como los cerebros detrás de la melodía.
