Overview

Surrounded by exotic greenery, Manatus Hotel Tortuguero’s bright cottages are nestled on a tranquil lagoon in Torteguro National Park, one of the islands in the archipelago of Costa Rica’s north coast. Guests of the Manatus Hotel, Tortuguero, expect comfortable accommodation and active ecological leisure among rainforests and clean sandy beaches where turtles like to nest. The architecture of the Manatus Hotel, Tortuguero, was created in the tradition of ethnic style; the interiors reflect the vibrant natural surroundings. The hotel’s restaurant and bar serves fusion cuisine accompanied by cocktails and refreshing drinks. Also at guests’ disposal are a Spa-center, a gym, an art gallery, and a swimming pool.

The Manatus Hotel, Tortuguero, is designed for an intense holiday in the protected nature of the northern coast of Costa Rica.

Location

The hotel is located in the Tortuguero National Park, on the north coast of Costa Rica; 2.8 km from Tortuguero local airport; 4 hours drive from the capital city of San Jose and Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO).

The hotel has a Spa center offering programs and services to relieve stress and restore balance to the body; including – various types of massages (massage for relaxation, massage with hot stones). Tours are also offered for guests in the Tortuguero National Park, which includes 11 different areas, from rainforests to grassy meadows. Organized morning and night tours to watch the turtles; visit to Tortuguero Village to get acquainted with the local way of life; individual excursions are offered (only in the low season – May-June, September-November).

A 35 km long sandy beach stretches along the lagoon that flows into the Caribbean Sea and into the river.

It was wonderful. Staff helpful and great bungalow. To put some glue on, the internet was a bit slow and the air conditioning sometimes failed, but in any case repeat without thinking. Highly recommended!

Spent 2 nights here in January 2018. The location is amazing. The wildlife is amazing but hard to spot in the rain. The rain is relentless. The staff is great. Rooms v are good. Be prepared for all your clothes to get wet/wet. It’s worth it.

Amazing location. Great a la carte menu for all meals included as there is nowhere else to eat. Very friendly staff and great guides. 2 canal tours (park fee $15pp extra) and a village tour are also included. The rooms are huge with AC, TV and have a private outdoor shower. Awesome place to experience Tortorguero.
