Go early!
Mar 2022
It gets busy in the afternoon and HOT! The island is not back 100% so be patient. We had to use our room card or credit card and it is $$ but we were happy to have a private beach to ourselves.

The best place to spend a lazy day!
Jan 2020
The sun, the sand, the sea and the view make a perfect combination for recharging your “batteries”. Had the best time on the island.

Beautiful Beach
Nov 2019
Beautiful beach off the coast of Puerto Rico. Unfortunately Palominitos, the small spit of sand, is now underwater post hurricane Maria.

Worth it, if you can get here
Aug 2018 • Business
This is a very special place just off the coast, which was long a private island. Transport over by small boat and escape into Caribbean bliss.

A Must Visit
Jul 2018
My best friend won a work contest that gave a free 7 day trip to El Conquistador Hotel in Fajardo. I remember getting off the plane in San Juan and having to take an hour cab ride to the middle of no where. 1hr into the trip we were looking to get back to civilization. Glad we didn’t. By day 2 we discovered the free ferry to Palomino Island. The water was absolutely gorgeous along with the beach. Such a relaxing beautiful place. I heard after the hurricane things have changed with the Island, so do your research.

Short ferry ride to paradise
Sep 2018 • Family
Palomino Island was a great way to break up our stay at our hotel. It’s a quick ferry ride that leaves every half hour and has an abundance of chairs right on the beach when you arrive to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Plus there is a nice shaded area to order food and drinks while you enjoy your day as well. There are also a lot of large scaled iguanas that live and roam on the island which were interesting to watch from a distance.

Private cable car to private marina to private boat and then Private island with beach and full service. Beach is very good but clarity could be better–note we had mostly cloudy and windy days so could be better when fully sunny

Terrific amenity (feature really) to this beautiful hotel property. Our absolute favorite place to stay when staying on-island. Can’t wait for them to re-open after repairs are complete.

We came by boat jan 23,2018 and anchored off the beautiful beach on this private island . The resort is under repairs ,supposed to be opening End of February . A care taker lives on island and tends to the couple of horses .
It has the most beautiful point of beach open the the east and wrapping around to the anchorage on the west side. Off the beach is the most adorable tiny sand “island” and saw a large spotted eagle ray.
Supremely picturesque!
We went to the beach , to find a large iguana surfing the waves in 🙂 and several of his friends in the trees above our heads.

Loved the hidden cove, so quiet and relaxing. This clothing optional spot it’s nice, even met some cool new friends there. It is lonely for the most part and there are no facilities so be prepared.
Great place to spend the day when staying at the El Conquistador. Great swimming and sunbathing. Lots of fun activities. Awesome drinks that waiters will bring to your beach chair.
Amazingly clear water and white sandy beach with restaurants and bars. If you visit Miami take a boat to Hollywood and eat the best burger ever at Le Tub – cash only! Enjoy the view and the locals
They have a roped off section for swimming which has a lot less rocks and coral.
While the property is amazing, the food great, the water in areas is filled with coral & rocks. Start good water shoes…then enjoy
Rent a kayak and go out to the smaller island! You won’t regret it.
For a more peaceful area of the beach head east straight across the island from the dock. This avoids the loud bass from the rafted party boats right off the beach on the west side.
Love the ride at the Ferry almost as much as I enjoyed Palomino Island. Beautiful island! Pretty neat!
Paradise! My favorite place in Puerto Rico !
The pitchers of bloody marys are particularly clutch.
If u rent one of the inter tubes, given how far out the water stays shallow, u can reach new depths. (0nly works if u r with your bff).
Beach closer to the pier is less rocky.
The least populated parts of the island are the most interesting. Snorkel away from the crowds. Kayak around the island.
If you checked it here, kudos. Now put your phone down find a beach chair and do you.
The beach is amazing!!!
100-acre private island resort. Take the catamaran from Marina Village. Horseback riding, Snorkeling, Water sports and white sand beach.
Trying bringing your chair in the water, so relaxing!
Bio-luminescent tour is awesome! Go when there is no moon!
Go on a hike and look for the Naturist Reserve 😉
The huge iguanas!!
Take a catamaran. Great day adventure!
The boats seem to break down a lot!! Be prepared to be stuck a while!!
Best Pina-Colada on the resort!!
Make sure your on the first boat !
Corona beer commercial island (palominito)
