El National Take a Hike Day o Día Nacional del Senderismo es una fecha especial para celebrar esta actividad deportiva no competitiva que consiste en caminar a través de espacios naturales, caminos rurales, sendas y vías verdes. Se celebra cada 17 de noviembre y es día ideal para salir con amigos o familia disfrutar del entorno a través de zonas patrimoniales y culturales en los Estados Unidos.
Esta celebración fue creada por la American Hiking Society, quien estableció esta fecha en calendario con la esperanza de alentar a las personas a salir a practicar este deporte y probar lo que es inmiscuirse en espacios lejanos a las rutas asfaltadas y hormigonados de las zonas urbanas.

1.- Calzado adecuado: Proporcionan tracción, apoyo y protección en zonas poco asentadas o de superficie plana.
2.- Mapa y Brújula/GPS: Los dispositivos móviles no siempre suelen ser muy confiables en zonas lejanas a la urbe, por lo que un mapa físico y una brújula podría ser más confiable en estos casos.

8.- Protector solar: El senderista debe cargar protector solar, anteojos o ropa protectora contra el sol, independientemente de la estación del año, clima o temperatura actual.
9.- Artículos de seguridad: En caso de extravío cargar con un encendedor, un silbato y una lámpara puede salvar la vida de las personas.
10.- Refugio: La protección contra el exterior es esencial en caso de lesiones o de quedar varado. Portar una tienda montable, mantas especiales, bolsas de dormir y otros artículos similares proporcionan comodidad o seguridad.
Los cinco mejores lugares para practicar senderismo en USA
El terreno árido y montañoso de esta zona en Dakota del Sur es una gran lugar para el senderismo. El parque ofrece varias rutas para explorar como el Notch Trail, Fossil Trail y Cliff’s Shelf Trail, hasta las más largas como el Castle Trail de más de 16 kilómetros y el Sage Creek Wilderness Área, un circuito de hasta 35 kilómetros.

El Gran Cañón es uno de los destinos más concurridos y visitados de Arizona por su magnitud y belleza. La mayoría de los visitantes llega al South Rim, que está abierto todo el año. Mientas que el North Rim, abierto desde mayo hasta octubre, cuenta con menos instalaciones.
El Parque Nacional de Yosemite es otra de las joyas imprescindibles del senderismo en los Estados Unidos. La zona alcanza una extensión de mil 200 millas cuadradas (tres mil 27 kilómetros cuadrados). Ofrece espacios abiertos y boscosos donde podrás realizar tus caminatas desde el Half Dome, un sendero de ida y vuelta con una distancia de 14 millas que toma de 10 a 12 horas y sube alrededor de cinco mil pies sobre el suelo en el valle Yosemite.
Para aquellos que gustan de los climas extremos el Joshua Tree National Park es ideal. Disfruta de caminatas surrealistas por paisajes lunares a 140 millas de Los Ángeles.
Los senderos en el parque tienen una extensión de un cuatro de milla hasta diez millas de largo.
El primer parque nacional de los Estados Unidos es famoso por sus géiseres y actividad volcánica, además de ser un paraíso para los excursionistas. Ubicada en Wyoming, Montana e Idaho, Yellowstone abarca más de 2.2 millones de acres con abundantes rutas de senderismo. El North Rim Trail es conocido como el Parque Nacional del Gran Cañón de Yellowstone. Top parques de la CDMX para ir a caminar
Renuévate con un recorrido bajo los rayitos del sol y el frío decembrino en estos parques que son famosos en la CDMX no solo por sus áreas verdes sino por las actividades que hay en cada uno de ellos.
Hay que aprovechar que la pandemia, por lo menos, no nos los ha quitado.
1. Parque Hundido
Ubicado en Insurgentes, este es un enorme lugar en el que puedes ir a correr y caminar sin problema. Hay un audiorama, que es un espacio para escuchar música clásica al aire libre. Además, los fines de semana se presentan obras infantiles para que disfrutes con los más peques.
2. La Mexicana
Fue diseñado por los arquitectos Víctor Márquez y Mario Schjetnan, y cuenta con 100 mil metros de áreas ecológicas, 62 mil metros cuadrados de césped, así como con lagos artificiales y humedales. De hecho, no tiene mucho de que fue inaugurado (2017), así que todavía conserva instalaciones de lujo.
3. Masayoshi Ohira
Al sur de la ciudad, y dentro de un Country Club, puedes ir a disfrutar de Japón en México en un parque. Fue construido como símbolo de amistad entre los dos países, y es posible encontrar sauces, peonias o arces. Hay un arco y puentes rojos (que algunos vecinos llaman pagoda), así como un pequeño lago.
Por si fuera poco, este parque es famoso por las películas de Cantinflas.
4. Rufino Tamayo
Como su nombre lo dice, este parque rodea al museo homónimo. Es común encontrar familias o amigos haciendo picnic en esta zona porque el espacio es ideal para esto: con sus grandes árboles y su césped bien acomodado. Además son bienvenidas todas las mascotas, por eso también puedes encontrar a muchos perritos paseando por el lugar. En ocasiones hay conciertos o bien, obras de teatro.
5. Parque México
En el corazón de la Condesa, este lugar es perfecto para correr o realizar actividades por la mañana, como yoga o patinar. También para convivir con tus mascotas. En total, el parque tiene nueve hectáreas de forma elíptica. Cuenta con un foro (llamado Charles Lindbergh) de estilo art déco, un estanque y una fuente ochavada.
6. Los Dinamos
Si te encanta la aventura extrema, este es el lugar para ti. Es un área natura protegida que consta de 2,429 hectáreas de bosque: no hay mejor escenario para hacer hiking.
Aquí se pueden practicar diversas actividades como bicicleta, escalada, tirolesa, rappel, campismo, pesca de truchas o montar a caballo, y todo dentro de un ambiente súper familiar. Alrededor hay lugares donde comer una deliciosa sopa de hongos o quesadillas.
7. Parque Lincoln
Este fue el primer parque que se diseñó en Polanco y aún conserva las actividades tradicionales: manejar barcos por control remoto (modelismo náutico) y practicar patineta. Es uno de los mejores parques que tiene la ciudad, no solo por su ubicación y su aviario. Además, lo puedes reconocer por la llamada Torre del Reloj, donde hay exposiciones artísticas.

1) Food – canteen of very mediocre quality, restaurants were closed due to covid, there were no alternatives.
Not what you want on vacation. In four days I knew all the shades of potatoes, because the rest did not appeal to the word at all;
2) We moved together from a 4-bed room in a house to the Russian House (for a moment, 70 k for the weekend was worth only this “pleasure”). Between check-out at 15:00 and check-in at 17:00, we were forced to walk back and forth with money on the uncleaned slippery territory (although we tried to agree on this issue in advance when checking into the building, we were told that the Friday shift would do everything, the house was free, they would settle earlier), then generously at 15.30 they allowed me to bring things into the house (another walk through the icy wastelands with 10 kg) and after another hour of vigil in the uncomfortable lobby near the reception, they nevertheless settled at 16:30. What kind of a collective farm is this, and why these senseless sufferings and walks, if the house was free and cleaned anyway? There is no minimum thoughtfulness and care for the guests.
3) Disgruntled cleaners who seem to come to chase schoolchildren behind garages;
4) Russian house – ill-conceived layout. Rooms 6, yes, but 3 of them are walk-through. Obviously, a large company cannot accommodate there, despite the nominal number of beds. I had to rent two more rooms in the buildings (there were 13 people in total). There were also no elementary things like a corkscrew;
5) Repairs in the buildings were made either a long time ago, or it doesn’t matter. nine0045Apart from the spa and the zoo, nothing really.

I really like the zoo, this is the highlight of the park hotel, not the first time I come. Animals well-groomed, it is pleasant to look. It can be seen that the staff is caring.

The receptionist was not very friendly. Not rude, of course, but I would like to see more enthusiasm from the staff. The cleaning lady was also not very friendly. There are cockroaches in the bathrooms and in the kitchenette. It spoils the impression of living. The rooms need to be rented out to the cleaning lady in the old fashioned way. Delicious breakfast included in the room rate. The buffet is not very varied, but the dishes are enough. Nice spacious room with a large bed, the room is warm, I even had to open the window.
