Pine Grove Beach – What To Know BEFORE You Go
The Basics
Pine Grove Beach, along with Isla Verde Beach and Carolina Beach, comprise what is known as Isla Verde Beach. Sheltered by an offshore reef, the calm, shallow waters at the western end of Pine Grove are ideal for swimming and snorkeling, and over at the east end, the rolling waves are popular with stand-up paddleboarders and beginner surfers. There are kiosks along the beach where you can sign up for lessons or rent a board.

The Bioluminescent Bay
A popular nighttime attraction along the Puerto Rican coastline, Laguna Grande is one of three bioluminescent bays on the island of Puerto Rico. Tours allow you to see the bay’s fluorescent glow, caused by microscopic plankton that thrive in the lagoon’s shallow Caribbean waters. Trips are typically planned around the darkest nights of the month.

amazing day. perfect water. white sand. beautiful vista. went in July, so no surf waves, those are in winter. would love to go back. posted up with a chair rental at the Calle Violeta entrance and then walked down to eat lunch at the Marriott on the beach. Hanging out in front of the abandoned Ritz is a trip.

Cala Turqueta, a beautiful spot in Menorca
A good summer destination is Balearic Islands , an autonomous community of Spain located in the Mediterranean Sea and whose capital is Palma. On these islands, the precious minorca is one of the islands of Gimnesias, and on the coast of the island there is a bay that could be your last destination: Turketa .
Today we have to talk about this beautiful beach , small and with blue water, extremely popular during the summer season. Where is it, how to get there, is there parking, is there a beach bar, when to go …

Menorca and its bays0012 It is the second largest island and the third largest with inhabitants. It is small, so its name comes from the Latin, and its capital is the city of Mahon, located on the east coast. Thanks to its natural wealth since the beginning of the 90s. Biosphere Reserve .
With an area of 701 square kilometers, it is the first Spanish territory to see the rising sun, so if you go this summer and see the sunrise, you might think you are the first Spanish on the continent to do so. He enjoys typical mediterranean climate and their summers are not very hot.
Menorca enters the world of tourism a little later than the rest of the Balearic Islands, as it has its own industry to support its population. Consequently, its landscapes are better preserved and therefore it has been named a biosphere reserve. Today it all adds up to , the popular summer destination of for Brits, Dutch, Italians, Germans and more.
Cala Turqueta
Menorca has several beaches, but Cala Turqueta is one of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful, and is one of the most popular . If you don’t like people, this might not be the best place, but even if you do, get to know them because you can’t miss them.
It is located on the south coast of island and it is a beach fine white sand and blue water . Shade provided pine grove that surrounds it along with protective embrace limestone rocks. This is not the only beach on the south coast, there are two other beaches, and although Turqueta is the most popular of the three, it is the least visited. At least that’s what they say. If we look at it closely, they are two small beaches together but separated by a rocky promontory.
The first part is the largest, and since it is at the mouth of the stream, the sand is always slightly wet. Under the pines there are picnic tables and flat rocks where people usually settle. If you cross the pine forest, you will come to another beach, smaller and with dunes behind.
Do you know why is called Turqueta ? The name goes away from watercolor as a gentle turquoise. Finally, due to the way it is oriented, it is a beach that ends early with sun so it empties quickly. Therefore, to spend the sunset is a good place. Do not worry.
How to get to Cala Turqueta
Cove It is about 14 km from Menorca’s Citadel. If you don’t have a car you must take bus to leave you at bay from now on. In the summer it is 68 online and the bus will drop you off at the parking lot on the beach. If you have a car, you will follow the road of San Juan de Misa in a southerly direction and towards its beaches.
At the top of San Juan de Misa, turn right and take the direct path to the bay. You drive about four kilometers and turn right again onto a dirt road that leaves you in the parking lot. And from there, 10 minutes walk to the sea.
Be careful if you go in the middle of the summer season, there may be a lot of people with a car and the parking lot is full. There is no other choice but to go and look for another place on another beach. Luckily, there are signs indicating which parking lot is full, so don’t get distracted.
What to do in and around Cala Turqueta
The island is small and the best way to get around it is by following the historic trail with 20 signposted stops that traverse the entire coastline. It’s about Cami de Cavals , an old path that was used to protect the island and originated in the first half of the 2010 century. It was opened after restoration in XNUMX as a public road and to travel 185 kilometers total.
Like I said has 20 stops so you can do it from start to finish or stop at each station or draw your own sections. If you dedicate a whole day to it, you can do it without problems, you use the morning to go and the afternoon to return. It runs along the north coast in ten stages from Mao to the Citadel and along the south coast from the Citadel to Mao in another ten stages.
