travel PR or travel PR

In society, the topic of travel is now acquiring a completely new sound. From my point of view, changing places, even if only for a short period of time, has great potential. The development of other routes, new “pictures” in front of your eyes seriously affect the development of a public relations specialist. Sometimes tourist trips in a reasonable combination with attending trainings, watching thematic films and reading literature are simply necessary. The so-called “smart trips” make it possible to compare certain events in Russia and other countries, find and study the specifics of each region, and, of course, charge you with powerful energy and positivity. nine0003

As PR specialists, we understand that changing places is connected with exploring new territories, predicting their future in relation to our work, and with a very relevant topic of patriotism, if we correctly show young people different parts of our country and the entire globe.

By my own example, I was convinced that travel develops creativity, changes thinking and sharpens reactions. Moving in space, we may believe that we are resting, thinking about something else. But it is interesting that at this time our brain works, compares, analyzes this journey, meetings with strangers, adding new colors to our previous experience. I think all of this is extremely enriching for us as specialists. Next, our brain adds interesting finds, things and personalities to the so-called piggy bank of memories. We do this unconsciously, but believe me, at the right moment we will get these memories or experiences from the secret memory box and be able to apply them in our work. But if changing the picture helps us so much, refreshes and sharpens our perception, then it can also improve our work, optimize results, develop the ability to foresee. nine0003

An interesting experience of working in one region, being tested locally, can be transferred to other cities and actively used by colleagues, taking into account the specifics of the territories. Moreover, local practices can later become global and even one of the best in the world!

Let me give you an example. After a year of implementing the donation project, I realized that the next opportunity, both from an event and media point of view, could be the transfer of experience and practice to new territories. On the one hand, our project is part of a large-scale government program that is being implemented in various regions, and on the other hand, LG has many employees and a large number of offices, serious business partners throughout the country. It was the opportunity to convince well-known businessmen from various regions – Central Russia, the Northwestern, Southern and Volga Federal Districts, Udmurtia, Siberia and the Far East – to work together for one common social goal that made the heart beat much faster. So, year after year, the idea of geographical expansion of the initiative, as I say, social expansion into the regions, began to be implemented. nine0003

This meant even more work in the field of expanding contacts with company partners, as well as with representatives of the media. But such communication becomes interesting, because in the process you learn a lot of new things about the specifics of a particular region, understand how the population and especially young people live.

The next “challenge”, or what is called a “challenge”, for me was the holding of the so-called remote Donor Days, which are divided into two types: those in which we are directly involved, and those in which we share competencies ( CIS countries, world experience). So since September of this year, LG’s donor project has been implemented all over the world: South Korea, Latin America, China, Africa, covering more and more countries and continents. nine0003

Of course, all areas are very interesting. But one of the most discussed, which attracted the attention of the whole world, was the Far East, the richest region in terms of natural resources, culture and traditions. Here, immediately after the first ever meeting of APEC economic leaders, we held days of social responsibility. It was an extremely interesting experience, as the new working potential was combined with the opportunity to see cities change before our eyes.

We could observe the consequences of the renovation of the city infrastructure, the airport, the construction of several new bridges. So, we practically flew over the bridge across the Golden Horn Bay, drove over the bridge across the East Bosphorus Strait, which connected the mainland of Vladivostok with Russky Island. Planning to give lectures at the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), we visited the new buildings of this educational institution on Russky Island, designed for 50,000 people. Isn’t it amazing to witness the development of a 120-hectare area for students? nine0003

Kazan was also transforming before our eyes on the eve of the Universiade. We visited there for the first time in 2012 and over the next three years we saw how transport interchanges were built, beautiful architecture was brought to life and many sports facilities were built. Therefore, I consider it a sign of fate that our Donor Day and my lectures for students and volunteers as part of the “Technology of Kindness” boat marathon were held in the Universiade Village!

Another amazing city that forced us all to explore another important historical memory – the industrial architecture of Russia in the 19th century – Izhevsk. A city that glorifies the traditions of labor, craftsmanship, reminiscent of Russia’s leadership in industry, with the monumental main building of the Izhevsk Arms Plant, whose clock chimes spread throughout the city. There are stunning fences, completely different in forging design, and incredible art objects that sharply return us to modernity – murals on old houses – this is how Russian artists decided to ennoble old buildings. nine0003

We also visited Nizhniy Novgorod with its merchant architecture and unique traditions, which got the name “Pocket of Russia” thanks to the famous fair. I’m not talking about St. Petersburg, the museum city, the hero city, where the glorious and at the same time tragic history of many generations can be traced. We were amazed by Krasnoyarsk with its majestic Yenisei and the Krasnoyarsk Pillars Reserve. How many of us know which city’s bridge is depicted on a ten-rouble bill? And what respect we have for Barnaul, its people and the whole Altai Territory, which is a unique natural pantry. Just two days in a new place give food for an inquisitive mind, imagination and creativity. nine0003

As I visit a lot of cities, I think, don’t we want to see really big changes? Now there are no shock construction projects of the last century, such as BAM, DneproGES or the subway. Therefore, to catch any significant transformation is a great success, contributing to the development of the creative potential of a communication specialist.

Each of our donor events is at least two or three busy days with the participation of famous sports stars, lectures at universities, communication with partners, press conferences and many meetings. All this requires serious preparation, long hours of work in the office, because such events allow us to reach completely new audiences and receive live and important information. nine0003

As specialists, we use all the skills and communication tools in a given area in a very short time. And, of course, as a blogger, trips give me a lot of information, which I am happy to share with readers of my blog and social networks: I talked about the submarine museum, and the Voroshilov Battery on Russky Island, and about the industrial culture of Russia using the example of Izhevsk , and about the Kustodiev Museum in Astrakhan, and much more.

Write, share with readers, take pictures, hone your style. By developing the ability to fit the essence, the most important information in a blog, you learn to create more and more creative content. Take the time to do this, because a good PR specialist should also be a good online journalist. nine0003

I think that our creativity develops after traveling because we witness changes that later begin to happen to us. After all, when the face of cities is changing, when the latest history is being created before our eyes, every PR specialist dreams of becoming a part of this process. We adapt to these changes, and then in some ways we begin to lead them.

15 tips for traveling to Samara

Text Revision

From where one of the most impressive views opens, where to book a table and where to go for new gastronomic experiences – we have prepared 15 recommendations that will help you spend a bright and eventful weekend in one of the largest cities in the Volga region.

Samara inspired many Russian artists: a triumphal painting was painted here “Barge Haulers” by Ilya Repin , “Volga at the Zhiguli Mountains” by Ivan Aivazovsky and many other famous subjects.

Located on the left bank of the Volga, the city impresses with the beauty of its landscapes.

To admire Samara and its environs from the most picturesque angles, we suggest keeping the following locations in your notes:

1. Volga embankment

Take a walk along the embankment – it is considered the longest among the cities on the Volga, more than five kilometers. If you are lucky with the weather, the sunsets that you will see here will fill the entire film and will remain in your memory for a long time. nine0003

2. Observation deck in Pushkin Square

From here you can enjoy a stunning view of the city’s historic streets, Strukovsky Garden and, of course, the Volga. In the square there is a monument to Pushkin (who, by the way, has never been here) and a cute sculpture “Lady with a Racket” in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Russian Tennis Federation.

3. Observation deck “Helicopter”

Going to the airport, be sure to get directions to the “Helicopter”. This will be the final and very beautiful touch in the piggy bank of your impressions of the trip. Even the camera will not convey this incredibly breathtaking panoramic view of the endless expanses – the Volga Islands, the Sokoly and Zhiguli mountains, the picturesque winding river. nine0003

Cultural Samara

only one place, it would be a great idea to choose the Philharmonic.”

The Samara Philharmonic is one of the main places in the city to meet art: it is a beautiful historic Art Nouveau building with a spectacular dome, excellent acoustics and a rich concert program on the poster. nine0003

2. Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of D. D. Shostakovich

The poster impresses with famous productions: the ballet La Bayadère, Swan Lake, The Fountain of Bakhchisarai, the operas Boris Godunov, Prince Igor and many others.

3. Branch of the Tretyakov Gallery

The Tretyakov Gallery recently announced the opening of a branch in Samara. In the bright constructivist spaces of the renovated Maslennikov Factory-Kitchen, exhibitions of masterpieces from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery and other Russian and world collections will be held. In addition, lectures, film screenings, concerts, creative meetings, as well as the opening of a library are planned. nine0003

4. Art Nouveau Museum

Walking around the city, take a look at the art cluster, which is located on the territory of the Art Nouveau Museum. There is a cozy courtyard with a swing, and interesting events are often held – exhibitions, fairs, lectures. In the concept cafe “Whitecup” , where the interior is thought out in every detail, try cheese coffee – for new interesting gastronomic experiences.

What to bring:

1. Samara “fondant”

Melting in the mouth delicacy with a creamy taste of the confectionery factory “Mir” will not leave anyone indifferent! Also among the famous Samara factories is “Russia”, known by the slogan “Russia is a generous soul” .

2. Space souvenirs

Samara is the space capital of Russia, because it was here that the rocket for the first manned space flight was constructed.

Museum and exhibition complex Kosmicheskaya Samara , on the facade of which there is a 55-meter Soyuz rocket monument, you can buy memorable souvenirs – from space food to nesting dolls in spacesuits.

If you try to describe Samara in a few words, then it is a museum, contrasting, promenade, cozy and atmospheric. Also, gastronomy.

Gastronomic Samara

1. SAMARA GASTRO

This autumn, perhaps, one of the main gastronomic events in the city was the long-awaited opening of the first food hall — SAMARA GASTRO . This place promises to become a real center of attraction and a favorite vacation spot for residents and guests of the city.

Gastromarket No. 1 SAMARA GASTRO is a fundamentally new space for the city, offering to go on a round-the-world gastronomic journey with the whole family.

New project over 2,000 sq. m. includes 20 corners and 500 seats, a nice addition is an impressive panoramic view of the Volga embankment. The author of the project was the restaurant group City Council , which has more than 20 successful brands in the HoReCa field.

Among the residents SAMARA GASTRO :

Authentic Thai cuisine restaurant “TAYTSY” in SAMARA GASTRO

  • Pho Bo is the first cafe of Vietnamese cuisine in Russia, created in the image and likeness of the traditional cafes of Hanoi, scattered along the streets of Hanoi.
  • THAI Authentic Thai restaurant. Having ordered Tom Kha or Pad Thai, you instantly teleport into the atmosphere of the land of smiles, filled with aromas of exotic fruits and spices. Maksim Kuleshov acted as the brand chef of the project. nine0218
  • Sansara is the first cafe that actively supports a healthy lifestyle in Samara, from the author of the nutrition and fasting system with an effective change in eating habits, Anna Gerts.
  • Hot Dog is a young and promising chain of eateries presenting 4 concepts at once within the gastromarket: author’s hot dogs, chebureks, traditional pancakes and shawarma.
  • “Beds Samara” is a corner that delivers fresh exotic fruits and berries. nine0218
  • PelMan is a place where the combination of the taste of one of the most popular Russian dishes will take gastroenthusiasts back in time, into the arms of their mother and grandmother. The chef of the first premium dumpling in the city combined his favorite classics with avant-garde solutions: tender salmon, airy creamy notes, a mix of noble cheese varieties – enliven the taste perception and allow you to touch the familiar dish brightly and from a juicy angle.

The project offers a rich program for residents and guests of the city: themed festivals and master classes, parties and concerts, chef battles and gastronomic dinners are held here. If you are planning a tasteful trip to one of the main cities of the Volga region, then this place is definitely on your list of must-sees. nine0003

2. Restaurant “Prosecco9”

“Prosecco9” is located in the eco-location – the resort part of the city of Samara, among the blue spruces. The restaurant has its own aquarium with sea water; in addition to ice sparkling, guests are offered oysters or Sakhalin hedgehogs. In the evening, there is a particularly cozy atmosphere – live music sounds.

3. Restaurant “Life is good”

“Life is good” is a success in at least two areas of life: gastronomic and entertainment. A space where you can get gastronomic pleasure with a panoramic view of the Volga. And on weekends, plunge into fashionable, nightlife with bright parties and a rich program. It is rightfully considered one of the most atmospheric and fashionable locations in Samara. nine0003 Restaurant “Life is good”; Restaurant “Utesov”

4. Restaurant “Utesov”

An authentic restaurant with an author’s menu, in which brand chef Vladimir Zoteev focuses on local products of the region – Volga fish and other products. “Ovens-rivers-oceans” is a new gastronomic concept of the restaurant, which reveals a combination of Russian, European and Mediterranean culinary traditions with unique author’s nuances.

5. Restaurant “Volga-Volga”

Breakfast at the airport is a favorite ritual of travelers. It would be a great idea to spend time waiting for departure and prolonging the aftertaste of the trip at the Volga-Volga restaurant, which is located at Samara-Kurumoch International Airport. For breakfast, we recommend delicate cheesecakes with cherries or pancakes with various fillings, as well as author’s tea.

Samara International Airport – Kurumoch.

After ordering a coffee to go, take a walk around the airport, whose interior resembles a spaceship.
