The saying “Rain doesn’t fall the same on all” really proves to be true. How often have you seen it rain in your neighborhood and a few blocks away not a drop has fallen.

If you get the chance, please take a moment to tell a friend or neighbor about this exciting grassroots effort of citizens measuring precipitation right in their own backyards. It’s easy to join, takes only five minutes a day and is a fun way to learn about this wonderful natural resource that falls from the sky. Your observations continue to give scientists an ever clearer picture of where and how much precipitation falls throughout our communities.

ABOUT COCORAHS
CoCoRaHS (pronounced KO-ko-rozz) is a grassroots volunteer network of backyard weather observers of all ages and backgrounds working together to measure and map precipitation (rain, hail and snow) in their local communities. By using low-cost measurement tools, stressing training and education, and utilizing an interactive Web-site, our aim is to provide the highest quality data for natural resource, education and research applications. The only requirements to join are an enthusiasm for watching and reporting weather conditions and a desire to learn more about how weather can affect and impact our lives.

Our Web page provides the ability for our observers to see their observations mapped out in “real time”, as well as providing a wealth of information for our data users.

COCORAHS CELEBRATES 24 YEARS DURING 2022

CoCoRaHS officially began on June 17, 1998. With a few observers along Colorado’s Front Range, we had no idea that the network would become what it is today, with over 24,000 active observers in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Bahamas. Everyone, but not the heroes created by the imagination of the dreamer and romantic Isaac Shtokbant. His characters want to love! And it doesn’t matter how old they are and what life baggage they have behind them. They listen to the rain outside the window and believe in a miracle…

Thanks to a funny misunderstanding, a fabulously beautiful woman appears in the house of a middle-aged and not very successful writer and, like a flash of lightning, illuminates his quiet habitual life. What is it: chance or fate? And can two such different elements unite?

The lyrical comedy “Rain” is a story about you and me: about modern people in a modern city who just want to be happy. One amazing summer night becomes their secret ally and gives the heroes a dream of the possibility of happiness in spite of any obstacles and conventions.

The music, consonant with the lyrical mood of this light and touching comedy, was written by the famous St. Petersburg composer Mark Samoilov, who fell in love with the audience of “Buff” based on the melodies for the play “Heavenly slug”.

Starring the idol of the Buffa audience, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Murad Sultaniyazov and popular theater and film actress Elena Kuprashevich.

Premiered on June 19, 2008.

It took a long time to choose where to go. Reviews are different everywhere, besides they are few.
Chose the play “Rain”. There were people who wrote that it was boring, drawn out. But until you go, you won’t know.
They were completely delighted with the performance. Great acting, gripping plot, funny jokes. Definitely recommend visiting this show!
