Royal isabela resort: Isabela Puerto Rico Vacation Packages | Royal Isabela
Royal Isabela Golf Resort, Puerto Rico
Described as a blend between Pebble Beach and the Old Course at St Andrews, Royal Isabela is truly remarkable luxury golf resort situated on Puerto Rico’s northwest coast. The 7,667 yard championship course provides a demanding test, with a hilly front nine routed through jungle-like flora, and an attention-grabbing back stretch bearing a links-like feel with a series of cliff-top holes that must rank among the best ocean-side holes in the world.

Royal Isabela
Royal Isabela’s natural rises and falls accentuate the dramatic setting, as wide fairways stretch over various undulations, hugging the edges of the Caribbean.
Conceived by Puerto Rico natives Stanley and Charlie Pasarell, the brothers teamed up with architect David Pfaff to bring their 426-acre vision to breathtaking reality. With its oceanfront location, the team says they “found” holes more than designing them on paper, resulting in a course that appears very natural and wild in parts. The landscape’s native grasses, natural sand dunes and deep canyons are integral to the layout, while sod-faced bunkers add a Scottish flair to this island gem.
There are six sets of tees at Royal Isabela, with the tips stretched to a maximum of 7,667 yards as a par 73. This breathtaking championship layout is not limited to one or two highlights, however the course’s 17th is arguably the showstopper. The par 3, which plays over the seaside bluffs, can play up to 200 yards. The green is guarded on the right-hand side by a “chicken tree” that lies beside the green. The 18th hole then plays back uphill toward the clubhouse to a green surrounded by mounding.
Accommodation at Royal Isabela Golf Resort
Private and exclusive, Royal Isabela is not just for golf. The resort has 20 freestanding Casitas or “little houses” designed for the ultimate in Puerto Rican hospitality. Each Casita encompasses 1,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor space and is sited to best catch Royal Isabela’s stunning ocean vistas with minimal impact to the environment.
Each Casita features an airy living room and bedroom with natural wood floors and ceilings, as well as a generously sized bathroom with separate tub and large shower room that also opens to a private deck. Luxurious amenities include two LCD TVs, wet bar, Frette linens and robes, and Gilchrist & Soames bath products. Take advantage of complimentary high-speed Internet access to stay in touch or retreat to your own private pool for a refreshing dip.
Royal Isabela’s dining room, the Restaurant at La Casa, features farm-to-table dishes using many local ingredients. The restaurant also boasts a wood-burning stove and a fine wine collection.
Besides the golf course, Royal Isabela’s gated complex includes a huge pool, golf shop, tennis courts and a separate outside bar and dining area.

Zelenogradsk – Royal resort in the Kaliningrad region – Kaliningrad sea
Leisure at sea
Author Editorial Reading 3 min
Updated
Zelenogradsk (until 1946 Kranz) is a city 30 minutes from Kaliningrad, which is located right on the Curonian Spit. It is a resort city with a mild climate, therapeutic mud and mineral waters. nine0003
A decisive turning point in Kranz’s history took place at the end of the 18th century. At this time, Professor Ludwig von Backko noted that the inhabitants of the coastal zones live longer than those who live in the middle of Prussia. The persuasiveness of Ludwig von Banzko paired with medical professor I.D. Metzger forced King Friedrich Wilhelm III to patronize the creation of a resort in Krantz.
In 1816 Cranz was awarded the title of Royal Spa.
Let’s start the journey from the railway station on the street. Vokzalnaya, 2. The neat building of the station has been preserved since 1855. Very close to st. Turgenev, Queen Louise Square is located, where, according to legend, the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm IV planted a tree in honor of his mother Louise. nine0003
In such a spiritual mood, the walk goes to the Catholic Church of St. Andrew the First-Called on the street. Moscow, 13-a. The building was erected in 1904-1905 in the Neo-Gothic style, at first it was Catholic, but in 1989 it was transferred to the Orthodox parish.
Winding along the intricate Moskovskaya street, we find another St. Adalbert’s church at 40-A (now the Transfiguration Cathedral). Built in the Gothic style, the red church is a surprisingly harmonious structure.
Cat lovers should definitely include a visit to Murarium in their itinerary – this is a museum of cats on the street. Saratovskaya, 2-a.
Now let’s go look at the 40-meter Water Tower on the street. Herzen (1904). Let’s return to Moskovskaya Street again, where the Queen Louise Hotel, which has been operating since the 1930s, is located in house 50. If you wish, take the time to another hotel “East Prussia” in 1906.
It’s time to take a break – Zelenogradsk City Park is just immersed in greenery. One of the local entertainments is a walk right along the lake, more precisely along the circles, the supports of which are driven into the lake soil. In winter, this pond turns into an active skating rink! nine0003
Only in Zelenogradsk you can see the operating post office in the Gothic style – the Krantz Post Office of the early 20th century is located on the street. Kurortny Ave, 29.
Nearby on the street. Lenina, 6 is Villa Krell of the same period, which received its name from its owner Max Krell, the former mayor of Memel (now Klaipeda, Lithuania). The villa is an architectural medley of Gothic and Russian styles.
Now the city is being actively built up with a large number of high-rise buildings. nine0003
We are almost there to move on to the most exciting and romantic part of the walk. This is the Zelenogradsky promenade – very long, without sharp changes in height, with stunning sunsets. Such a walk leaves an indelible impression on every tourist.
By the way, while walking along the promenade, did you, of course, find a sculpture of a Gray Baltic seal?
Watch the video about Zelenogradsk by Trigger Aero studio, it captures the atmosphere of this place very well.

Estremoz – war and peace behind one fortress, prices for 2021-2022
order
Svoi lyudy invites you to visit Estremoz. In this city there is a famous fortress – the “Tower of the Three Crowns”. Its height is 27 meters. The tower with the palace complex was erected for Queen Isabel. nine0003
City of Estremoz in the province of Alentejo, 170 km east of Lisbon and 46 km from Évora. One of the most important fortresses in the war for the restoration of independence in the 17th century – located on a hill among olive groves. The massive high Torre das Tres Coroas (Torre das Tres Coroas – “Tower of the Three Crowns”) dominates the medieval upper city behind the fortress walls – a 27-meter-high marble structure of the XIII century, which recalls the kings Sancho II, Afonso III and Dinis, under which it was built. nine0003
The nearby castle and palace complex built for Queen Isabel has now been restored and converted into a backyard. Isabel, the wife of King Dinis, nicknamed a saint, for helping to reconcile Dinis and his son, who raised a rebellion against him, founded hospitals, schools and shelters.
Estremoz, Portugal
Despite the fact that Dinis led a free life and had many mistresses, Isabella always remained an example. After the death of her husband, she retired to the Franciscan monastery of Saint Clare founded by her in Coimbra. But when her son started a war against the Castilian king Alfonso XI because of the mistreatment of Mary of Portugal, the daughter of the first and the wife of the second, Isabella again set off on a journey and managed to prevent the battle, reconciling both. But she fell ill, and in Estremos, near the failed battlefield, she died here in 1336. nine0003
Capela da Rainha Santa, dedicated to her, is decorated with azulejos depicting her life. At the entrance to the lower city lies the huge Piazza Rossio, where fairs take place. The city is also famous for its marble.
