How to get to the West Indies or the best flights to the island of Nevis for citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Europe?

How can a resident of a CIS country come to Nevis? How to get a visa to the island of St. Kitts or to the island of Nevis for a citizen of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan – we receive all these questions all the time.

Dear readers of our “offshore” blog about profitable investments abroad. I didn’t even have time to write down two out of almost a dozen very good options, as among our readers there appeared those who wanted to come to the islands of St. Kitts and Nevis in person and inspect the already described real estate and other objects, and not wait a month or two until I write them in detail and in Russian. You can read about the first two possibilities here:

Second Citizenship within 120 days plus the opportunity to eventually make money on it

My favorite real estate investment project in St. Kitts is Kittitian Hill

If for some reason you doubt the oldest economic citizenship program in the world or If you don’t know the latest changes from 2012 related to this program for obtaining a second citizenship and passport (legally, without dubious deals with corrupt immigration officers and risks), then I highly recommend understanding the following truths:

  1. In the articles I will answer almost questions and all the information with links to government sites is already given in the blog article – So who issues the passports of St. Kitts and Nevis?
  2. This program is really worth the attention of many of our readers from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan. Second citizenship and dual citizenship are two different things. You get a second citizenship of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Naturally, you and all members of your family over 16 years of age are also being checked. BUT!!! This check is from a prestigious private detective agency, not through government and interstate sources. With a second citizenship, the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis does not have to (by law not and by existing international treaties is obliged) to notify the authorities of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus that you have received a second passport. Also, the country of birth is not indicated on the plastic surface of the title page of the biometric passport of the new sample.
  3. Citizenship and passport of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis will pass to your future children and children of your children. This passport gives you the right to visa-free entry, simplified entry or entry with a visa on the spot (at the airport) in more than 100 countries around the world. The second passport of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis is your ticket to open accounts in any bank in the world with the red carpet practically laid out in front of you – this is a neutral country. Citizenship of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis is a ticket for your children and grandchildren to receive free or subsidized education at colleges and universities in the UK, as well as other countries of the British Commonwealth, since the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis is part of the British Commonwealth.
  4. Citizenship and passport of St. Kitts and Nevis can only be obtained through investment in the economy of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis or by birth or marriage. A fictitious marriage here immediately disappears. The fact is that only fiduciary and trust companies can apply for you citizenship of St. Kitts and Nevis, which also received a license for obtaining economic citizenship of St. Kitts and Nevis, which is quite expensive to obtain. None of these companies would risk such deals. The local population is all in debt like silk on loans and mortgages due to the high cost of living and education in the Caribbean, so marriage to such a husband or wife is already an investment. As part of the program, you can invest in the Sugar Fund and forget about the invested money forever, or invest a little more in real estate and return the profit and earn more. In any case, the main thing to remember is why you need this second passport. This includes free movement around the world, saving money, time and nerves on obtaining visas, and saving on free or subsidized education in the UK. But it is also worth remembering that in an emergency (which are possible for people with successful businesses, especially in the CIS countries), a second passport can save the life of you and your family – The rarest resource on Earth is a second passport!
  5. Investments in real estate on the islands of St. Kitts or Nevis can be arranged remotely, but many of our readers, having learned about the possibilities of the project, prefer to come and see everything, accompanied by specialists from our partner company. Some simply want to see with their own eyes the country whose passport and citizenship they will have, which is also an adequate desire. The main thing to understand is that for the very first time, when you are not yet a citizen of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, you will need a visa to visit the island of St. Kitts or the island of Nevis.
If you wish to come to St. Kitts or Nevis in person, be sure to contact a specialist in advance to arrive on the islands without surprises and to ensure that all your meetings with realtors are organized and planned in advance. Direct contact for a specialist in economic citizenship of St. Kitts and Nevis, who speaks Russian:

Who needs and who doesn’t need a visa to visit Nevis or St. Kitts?

If you are a citizen of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and are traveling with a passport of these countries, then you still need a visa to visit the islands of St. Kitts and Nevis. Even if you have a stamp in your passport about permanent residence or a residence permit of one of the EU countries, you still need a visa.

Individuals who wish to visit the islands of St. Kitts and Nevis and are citizens of countries with which the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis does not have a visa-free travel agreement must apply through the Online E-visa application form. Attention! You must fill in absolutely all the fields, otherwise the form cannot be printed. At the time of arrival in St. Kitts or Nevis, you must provide all documentation, in accordance with the eVisa rules, to the immigration officer (passport control). If you can’t follow the link to see the online form, use this link – https://evisa.gov.kn/evisa-prod/select.do

Here is a list of ports and airports in St. Kitts and Nevis where you will be met by passport control:

  • RLB International Airport (St. Kitts Island)
  • Vance Amory International Airport (Nevis)
  • Port Zante (St. Kitts Island)
  • St. Christopher Air & Seaport Authority, Deep Water Port (St. Kitts)
  • Charlestown seaport (Nevis)
  • Sandy Point (Pump Bay, St. Kitts)
  • Long Point Port (Nevis)

If you suddenly lose your visa printout, you can always find it again and check the status here – https://evisa.gov.kn/evisa-prod/selectSearch.do

The completed online application will need to be supplemented with the following documents :

  • Two (2) recent color passport photographs of
  • Passport suitable for travel (foreign passport)
  • Visa fee £30.00 to be paid by bank transfer
  • Bank statement for the last 3 months
  • Letter from work
  • Original printout from online application form signed

If you are planning a trip to St. Kitts or Nevis, it is important to remember the following points:

  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the end of your stay in St. Kitts or Nevis
  • Visa payable by certified check or bank transfer
  • Visa application processing time – 2 business days
  • Visa recipients cannot work while in St. Kitts or Nevis. All visitors must show at the time of application.
    • Round-trip ticket to the islands of St. Kitts or Nevis, or a ticket that shows the date of your departure from the islands in either direction
    • Proof that you have adequate funds to cover expenses during your stay in St. Kitts and Nevis.

Despite all the difficulties, on the threshold of the office of the oldest trust company in Nevis, which is also our partner, from time to time there are unexpected guests from the CIS countries who want a tour of all real estate here and now. Naturally, they will help you at the last moment, but it will not be as high quality, fast, solid and beautiful and convenient for you as if you warned about your arrival in advance.

If you wish to act on your own when applying for a visa, you can do so through the St Kitts & Nevis High Commission in London. Contact:

Ms. Alex Ryan Mason
St. Kitts-Nevis High Commission
10 Kensington Court
LONDON
W8 5DL
England

e – alex. [email protected]
w – www.stkittsnevisuk.com

it might be easy. If you do not want to send your foreign passport to London. passport for affixing a visa by a courier from Russia or Ukraine, this can be avoided by simply preparing all the documents and sending the form to our partner company by e-mail, whose representative comes with your application and an invitation from our partner company to Homeland Security and issues a permit for you for entry.

It is important to understand that real estate investors are welcome guests on the islands of St. Kitts and Nevis and no one is going to refuse you a visa. And you will pay the visa fee already at the entrance to the country.

Now that you know that you need a ticket to get a visa, it’s important to know where to buy it?

Our “offshore” blog is read not only by residents of the CIS countries, but also by Russian-speaking readers who have already moved from the CIS to Europe, the USA or Canada.

Naturally, residents of the CIS mainly fly to the island of Nevis via London and British Airways.

The most typical route for those flying from the US and Canada is via Puerto Rico (San Juan). From San Juan there are uninterrupted regular flights to Nevis with Cape Air. Other airports from which there are direct flights to the island of Nevis are Antigua, St. Martin and St. Kitts.

If you’re flying via St. Kitts, it’s best to take a ferry to Nevis. Which goes 1 hour. You do not need to book anything in advance, and it is not possible to do this. Ferries run every hour. The last ferry departs at 6 according to the schedule, but half an hour later in reality. The cost of the ferry crossing is about 8 US dollars.

Climb the palm tree | Aeroflot

There are islands that you dream about for a long time and seriously – from your youth, from childhood, almost from the cradle. Their names pop up in my head like a half-forgotten melody: “In banana-lemon Singapore…”, Jama-aica!, Cuba-Cuba-Cubana. There are those where acquaintances persistently invite, cinema and advertising, you can’t dodge: Sardinia, Cyprus, Mauritius (underline as necessary). But there are those who find you themselves – pearls thrown under your feet by a generous sea. La Palma turned out to be just that for me: a gift island, a surprise island.

It all started with another trip to Tenerife. More precisely, from an acquaintance in Moscow with an eccentric Russian artist who moved with his family to the Canary Islands. “Last time you went on a tour, lived in a hotel – consider that you didn’t see anything! I will show you the real Tenerife,” he campaigned. The invitation sounded like a fairy tale: it featured individual apartments and trips to the wild corners of the island, where no tourist had set foot. It all turned out to be a fairy tale.

In reality, the apartment turned into a strange half-empty room with glass walls and a mattress on the floor, and as an entertainment program, I received a bus schedule and an invitation to the opening of the owner’s exhibition . .. in the same apartment. (What role in the exposition was assigned to us with a mattress, one could only guess.) For some reason, I did not want to spend my holidays in the exhibition hall. Running away from the hospitable hosts to the hotel is also: they will still be offended.

The artist’s wife suggested the way out, casually dropping in a conversation: “Don’t you want to accidentally see the neighboring islands? La Palma, for example – there is a ferry from us.” – “Yes of course! I have long dreamed of seeing La Palma, ”I was delighted, although I heard this name for the first time.

I met the next morning in the port of Los Cristianos. The high-speed ferry was like a luxury airliner: comfortable seats, TV screens, a “fasten seat belt” command. The only stop is on the island of La Gomera, famous throughout the world thanks to the whistling language invented by local shepherds. At the pier, a ship froze in the dawn haze – improbable, like a picture from a morning dream: a giant sailing ship the size of a cruise ship. Eight decks, five masts soaring almost higher than the mountains of La Gomera, silver letters Wind Surf at the stern… One of the largest cruising sailboats on Earth.
Involuntarily, you start your acquaintance with the island from the capital – the ferry moored in the city of Santa Cruz de la Palma, which lazily stretched out along the ocean, like a cat basking in the sun.

There are elegant colonial houses on two pedestrian streets. The main pride of the town is the quarter of “historical balconies”, which has only a few buildings. Carved wooden balconies entwined with flowers are at least two or three hundred years old. So you can imagine how visiting hidalgos from the metropolis serenaded local seigneurs under them. The reality, however, was less romantic – the balconies had latrines, as the wind from the ocean carried away unpleasant odors.

On one of the pedestrian streets, I came across an open-air photography exhibition. A trumpeting elephant, naked Indians in the Amazon jungle. .. Somewhere I’ve seen this before. Well, of course, this is the famous “Genesis” of the Brazilian Sebastio Salgado! I recalled his recent exhibition in Moscow – a smartly dressed audience at the opening, excitement in social networks, queues at the box office… Everything is easier on La Palma – you can join the heights of photography right on the street. The inhabitants of the island, where the weather is always good, cannot be lured to the museum with a roll.

I was finally convinced of this a few days later, when I went to the “megacity” of La Palma – Los Llanos de Aridane (as many as 22 thousand inhabitants). The islanders proudly call it a museum city. The façades in the center are adorned with gigantic paintings by local artists, often assembled from several pieces. Many masterpieces amaze with their size rather than their talented execution, but against the backdrop of colonial architecture, they look fresh and touching.

However, most vacationers go to La Palma not for the sake of cultural leisure. And not even in order to swim in the ocean, indulge in the joys of the All Inclusive system or the temptations of nightlife (it simply does not exist here). They come to the island to go camping. This public despises beach bags and goes swimming with backpacks, and when going to dinner, they make the only concession to the evening dress code – they change tourist boots for beach slippers.

La Palma really seems to be made for hiking: coolness reigns in the mountains all year round, there are no predatory animals, no snakes, no dangerous insects. There are almost no roads, and well-groomed hiking trails wind through dense untouched forests, laurel in the east and pine in the west. There is only one trekking company on La Palma. Adventurers from all over the island meet on the bus every morning and within a week they begin to feel almost like family.

For the first time, I chose to hike through the picturesque pine forests and lava fields on the slopes of Cumbre Vieja (the locals often call this volcanic ridge San Juan in memory of the eruption of 1949 years, which happened just on the day of this saint). Fortunately, I didn’t have to climb the mountain – usually tourists on La Palma are brought immediately to the top point of the route, after which they go down for several hours.

The journey began in a thick and unexpectedly cold whitish haze: a cloud lay on the top of the mountain. To begin with, everyone was given wooden sticks with sharp ends – alpenstocks. Experienced tourists proudly refused them, preferring their folding ones – brought from home. The guides persuaded us to take two sticks at once, and, as it turned out, for a reason: on a steep descent, alpenstocks have to be used as brakes. Trying to step only on large stones – small ones treacherously slipped out from under my feet – and cursing the two-kilogram SLR camera dangling around my neck, I tried to keep up with my comrades. They cheerfully waved their alpenstocks and made small talk about the merits of different types of boots.

It seemed to me that the atmosphere during the hike is ideal for romantic acquaintances. In four or five hours, you can learn a lot about a fellow traveler, including whether he can support you in difficult times: for example, at the crossing of a mountain stream. Soon the fog cleared, but in the second hour of the descent, my knees and muscles began to ache brutally, the existence of which I had not even suspected before. The guide explained that the load during the descent is greater than during the ascent. “What, you couldn’t have warned right away?” – I was indignant. And immediately signed up for the next hike – in the Caldera de Taburiente National Park.

The nine-kilometer crater is one of the main natural curiosities of La Palma. The bus climbed for a long time along a serpentine a little more than a mantelpiece wide. The panoramas outside the window were incredible, but when looking down, goosebumps ran down the back. We also had to descend from a 900-meter height to the bottom of the caldera along a serpentine – however, a pedestrian one. A narrow path led down, at every turn a view opened up – dizzying in every sense of the word. Looking down was even scarier than looking out the bus window. Crows slowly flew past with a dull croak, obviously waiting for their prey – all of a sudden a tourist gapes and falls into the abyss. The last part of the route passed along the channel of the mountain river Taburiente. One of its tributaries rushes down an orange-green rock like a waterfall: over the centuries, mineral deposits have turned the stone ledge into an abstract canvas.

Hiking is addictive: after the second trip to the mountains, the muscles stop hurting, and as soon as you return from one trip, you start thinking about the next one. The third route – along the north-west of the island – seemed to me an easy walk against the background of the previous ones. The trail, starting from the church in the village of Las Tricias, went past the peasant houses. The inhabitants calmly went about their business, and their dogs habitually fawned over the travelers. Around – dragon trees typical of the Canary Islands, plantations of almonds and oranges. In some places, barely noticeable spirals came across on the rocks – petroglyphs of pre-Hispanic times. The highlight of the program is the village market, where farmers sell leather crafts, fruits, homemade cakes and a refreshing drink made from sugar cane.

The week flew by unnoticed, it was a pity to leave: there are still so many unexplored things left! “Volcano Path” with a view of three impressive craters, an enchanted forest in the Cubo de la Galga Gorge, the highest point of the island of Roque de los Muchachos. I will have to come again, but first I will stock up on hiking boots and a folding alpenstock. Without them, they will just take it for a “teapot”.

Parts

  • How to get there
From Tenerife Sur Airport to Los Cristianos by taxi about 20 minutes (€25–30). A ferry to La Palma departs from this port once a day. You can check the timetable at fredolsen.es. The ticket price is about €50 when buying online, at the box office it is more expensive. The ferry transports not only people, but also cars.
  • Where to live
The island has two resorts and only four large hotels. The beaches are covered with black volcanic sand, you can swim all year round.
  • Los Cancajos – a resort on the east coast, 15 minutes from the capital. Several cozy beaches are protected by breakwaters. There is an airport near the resort: those who get on their nerves with the noise of planes are better off choosing hotels located away from it.
  • Puerto Naos is a tiny resort on the west coast, an hour from the capital and 15 minutes from the city of Los Llanos de Aridane. Just one hotel, several apartment complexes, a beautiful promenade and a palm-fringed beach. Minus – swimming in the ocean is not always possible: there are no breakwaters in the open bay, and at the slightest breeze a strong wave rises.

Try

  • Braised rabbit with mojo rojo sauce (red pepper and garlic).
