Perfect

Wonderful way to experience the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Javier was a fantastic guide who knew so much of the history and culture that the tour was not only beautiful but educational. He has a great personality and was so much fun to spend the day with. My sisters and I all enjoyed the tour and our time spent with Javier. Would definitely do this tour again when I return to the island with my husband.

Already booked again!

Javier may possibly be the best tour guide we have ever had. We came into PR on a cruise right off the back of a hurricane so a number of locations were closed. Rather than giving us a half baked tour he took us to places that you would never go to with anyone else. Someone in our group wanted to see a cave but the main cave was unsafe from the storm. He knew of an alternative cave that was off a random road with zero signs. He also took us to the most amazing restaurant for lunch… We already booked him for our next visit!

WHAT a tour!!!

My wife and I took this tour and Javier Ruiz was our guide, very knowledgeable and we toured most of the island, even the rain forest. WHAT a tour!!! Javier stopped for lunch at a genuine Puerto Rican bakery-restaurant. We had a gigantic chicken sandwich on fresh made bread. It was Huge!! Enough for both of us. Thank you Javier for a wonderful tour.

Great tour!

We had a great day with Javier ! There were 4 of us and we all agree it was a great choice . We only had 1 day in Puerto Rico as 1 of cruise stops. This tour checked every box . points of I interest, and more …
Javier is personable and extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of Puerto Rico and was happy to share information with us. He also managed to get us to a few local shops and we enjoyed a great lunch at a local eatery.

Highly recommended!

We recently traveled to Puerto Rico and scheduled a half day walking tour with Javier Ruiz of old San Juan. We had a wonderful time! Javier is so knowledgeable about San Juan and Puerto Rico, both historical and current day! We visited the Castillo San Cristobal, the Cathedral of San Juan, the San Juan Gate, and many other sites. We really enjoy talking with local people and learning about their culture and what they think about their country and what they think is important for us to know about them. We would highly recommend Javier to anyone going to San Juan!

Then we will visit the city of Tula – the ancient capital of the powerful empire of the Toltec Indians, whose legacy left its mark on all subsequent Indian cultures. The city reached its peak in 900 – 1200 AD, when it was an important commercial, industrial and religious center. Tula gained particular popularity among tourists thanks to the famous giant stone sculptures – atlantes (4.6 m high). These warriors, in full combat gear, once supported the roof of the pyramid of Quetzalcoatl (the “temple of the Morning Star god”). On the walls and foundations of this and other pyramids, reliefs depicting eagles, jaguars and snakes have been preserved. The ball court is also impressive. nine0003

The speech went down in history under the name “Cry of Dolores”, and the city in honor of this event and Miguel Hidalgo got the second part of the name. Querétaro, which is under the protection of UNESCO, is known for its numerous historical and architectural monuments. First of all, these are the famous Arcos Aqueduct with 74 arches – a symbol of the city, built in 1735 to supply the city with drinking water, and the majestic monastery of Hauts de la Cruz of the 16th century, which is associated with the beginning of the first stage of the conversion of local residents to the Christian faith. colonial architecture, museums and churches, as well as an abundance of colorful handicrafts made of textiles, ceramics, wood and metal. The main local attraction is the Basilica de la Soledad with a baroque facade 24 meters high and an interior richly decorated with gilding. Then we will get acquainted with the production of the famous sarape rugs, which the locals make using only natural dyes. We will also stop at one of the local mezcal factories, where we will not only learn the secret of its production, but, of course, we will taste this famous Mexican drink. Those who wish will even have the opportunity to taste the caterpillars living inside the maguey stem, which, according to local tradition, are usually put into mezcal. After that, along the mountain roads of the state of Oaxaca, passing by agave fields, we will move to the city of Tehuantepec (“Jaguar Hill”) , located on the isthmus between the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean.
