    Sailing in paradise!

Hands down our most fun adventure in Costa Rica was our sailing trip with Marlin Del Rey! We set sail on a spectacular, clear, breezy day. The crew did an amazing job, ensuring both the smooth operations of the catamaran, and seeing to the guests. We were greeted by sea turtles when we set anchor for our afternoon swim. Lunch was delicious. A perfect afternoon!

    Relaxing ride

I’ve been on this type of tour before and it was similar to the others. Once we arrived at the meeting point on the beach there was several boats meeting their clients there. The boat was anchored out in the harbor so you have to take a small boat to get to the main ship. We had about 29 people on our boat which was just enough any more and it would have been crowded. The crew did a wonderful job making sure everyone was comfortable throughout the journey. We travelled for about 60 minutes before stopping to snorkel, swim, float. Th captain allowed you to jump off the roof which was fun, advice don’t wear any watch that isn’t secured as it may come off like mine did. If you are closer to Tamarindo the better as traffic leaving at night was heavy.

Magical experience overall as well as we got to see humpback whales!

This trip was one of best decisions we made and highlight of our trip!
at first when they said its 6 hours i was sceptical, however there was sooo much to do! the whole atmosphere from the get go, the music, the snacks and food, the crew was amazing and super exciting! they danced and sang the whole way!
The stop near a secluded island was magical especially for honeymooners like us! it was all we planned and beautiful; we did some snorkeling and swam in the ocean.
And they cherry on top, on our way back while watching the sunset, the crew suddenly stopped the boat and headed on a different direction because…THEY SPOTTED A
A WHALE!!! and we got closer and it was a humpback whale!! it was just super magical!!
Highlyyy recommend it, the crew is amazing making doing everything from pure joy!
Recommended for couples and families and friends!!

    Snorkeling at Las Catalinas

We went snorkeling with Tamarindo Diving and had a great time! The team is absolutely wonderful and we could see nice and lovely schools of fish 🙂 Las Catalinas is a nice place for snorkeling although maybe not the best one (but on that day it was very windy and a bit blurry, that’s probably why).
If you choose snorkeling, the only thing to know is that the tour is generally with/for divers and you stop in different areas that can fit everyone 😉

    Highlight of vacation

I’ve been to Costa Rica a couple of times and it’s my pleasure to say this was one of the best activities I’ve done. Esteban knows the area very well and gave us a couple of options on things we could do. He took us on a hike that took us to an eye dropping view of Pirates Bay. If you don’t like hiking then there’s snorkeling, if you don’t like either then you can explore the private beach. If you don’t like that beach, there are other private beaches he can take you to each having their own beauties. This is a “must do” if you’re going to Costa Rica.

    Loved it!

    Fantastic experience!
Everything about our dives with Tamarindo Diving, from initial reservation to final waves goodbye, was wonderful. Every person we encountered was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We saw many varieties of fish, rays, and sharks. The boat was clean, the gear fit well and was well-maintained, and the dives were highly enjoyable. We loved our day spent with Tamarindo Diving!

    Fantastic snorkeling trip with Alejandro

Our family of four had a great snorkeling trip with Alejandro at Playa Mina, a beautiful secluded beach near Tamarindo. Alejandro was a fantastic guide. He was personable and shared his love and knowledge of Costa Rica with us. It felt like we were out with a good friend. We hired many guides on our trip and he was definitely our favorite. Book him if you can!

    Family fun

We are a family of four, with two kids ages 7 and 11. We had the option to do snorkeling and coast fishing or deep sea fishing. My kids really wanted to catch a fish to eat, so deep sea it was. We drove out to sea for about an hour, saw some turtles and dolphins on the way, then started fishing and pretty quickly caught two mahi mahi, which was very exciting! Just about when we were going to call it done, we hooked a black tuna. My kids each reeled in a fish! We took the mahi mahi direct to the Chingurita restaurant where you are dropped off, and they cooked it fresh. Muy bueno! Juan Pablo was very gracious and communication was wonderful for pick-up. The boat captain was also very kind.

Can’t wait to dive with Tamadive again

I am so fortunate to have picked Tamadive to facilitate and teach my PADI open water certification. Remo was very knowledgeable and created a learning environment that was patient and supportive. I felt like I could ask any question I had. I would recommend for anybody travelling Costa Rica to make a stop in Tamarindo and experience scuba diving with the Tamadive team.

After I completed my certification, I booked 2 more dive days with the Tamadive team and both days were incredible. Jose and Caspar were great dive guides and did everything to ensure that we had a great experience. I can’t wait to dive again with the Tamadive team.

Best beaches in Costa Rica | All the beaches in the world

Costa Rica – a piece of heaven on earth . Tourists from all over the world come here to enjoy the riot of picturesque nature, mysterious bays, diving and, of course, unforgettable beaches. Here there are more than 300 ! The beaches of Costa Rica have gained considerable popularity due to their soft sand and inimitable views. But not all of them are in great demand, so it’s worth deciding on priorities long before the trip.

Contents:

  • Punta Uva
  • Manuel-Antonio
  • Playa de Isla Tortuga
  • Tamarindo
  • Santa Teresa
  • Playa Conchal
  • Playa Flamingo
  • Montezuma
  • Tortuguero
  • Playa Dominicalito

Punta Uva

Punta Uva is probably the best beach in Costa Rica, according to tourists. You don’t have to pay for entry. The coast is well maintained. Here you can sunbathe, swim, take perfect photos, videos, touch the wild nature and just enjoy the views. The best part of Punta Uva beach is not marked on the maps. It is called Playa Arrecife . Local residents prefer to rest there because of the best conditions – the descent into the water is smooth, there are no stones in the water. The sand is white and fine. The waves are average – both for swimming and for surfing.

Punta Uva is located in Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. To get here, you can take a taxi or rent a car. From Puerto Viejo, take the 256 highway. Before reaching the Korrigan Lodge hotel there will be a turn (it is next to the bus stop), there you need to turn left onto a secondary road, which leads to the beach.

Manuel-Antonio

0003 Manuel Antonio . It is very clean and well maintained. The sand on the shore is fine and white. The entrance to the water is gentle, the bottom is sandy. The waves are high, so there are many surfers, although sometimes the water is so calm that you can swim even with children. The main drawback of the beach is that it closes at 16:00, because in the evening crocodiles crawl out onto the shore. There is no beach infrastructure, but there is a small village nearby.

Located in the National Park Manuel Antonio in the province of Puntarenas, from San José drive 132 km . Entrance to the protected area is paid ( $16 ). The easiest way to get to the beach is by taxi or car. Buses run regularly from Quepos.

Playa de Isla Tortuga

You need to get here at least for one day. Since you get to the beach by boat, you will have to spend money, but it’s worth it! Costa Ricans almost never come here (except for making money), but for tourists this is probably one of the best options. The shore and the bottom are clean, white sand. Around glossy types . The water is calm (strong waves are rare), which allows you to swim without restrictions. On the island you can sunbathe, water ski, kayak, snorkel. Locals also arrange excursions to the jungle.
