About Sweden’s 5-Digit Postal Codes

Sweden’s postal code data depicts the boundaries of approximately 16,100 postcode areas. This postal code system was developed in 1968 by the Swedish Mail Service (PostNord Sverige) on behalf of the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority to aid in efficient mail routing across the country.

Sweden’s Postal Code Structure

Swedish postal codes—known as postnummer—consist of five digits, and these digits represent the following:

  • 1xxxx: The first digit represents a county or province—for example, postal codes beginning with 1 represent areas within Stockholm.
  • x1xxx: The second digit represents a specific city or area. With the exception of Stockholm, areas in the south are depicted by lower numbers than areas in the north.
  • xx1xx: The third digit indicates the type of delivery, such as mail boxes, business addresses, or regular mail delivery.
  • xxx11: The fourth and fifth digit indicate a specific geographic area within the city or boundary.

Current Postal Code Range in Sweden

The current postal codes (postnummer) in Sweden (SE) range from 11115 – 98499. The lowest 5-digit postal code (11115) targets the Swedish capital of Stockholm. The highest postal code (98499) is located in Pajala; This is a Swedish municipality in the Norrbotten county (bordering Finland).

Digital radiography features and benefits (January 18, 2023)

January 18, 2023, 14:40

Non-destructive X-ray testing equipment manufactured by RaDiaTech LLC allows solving the problems of testing welded joints with high accuracy and obtaining objective and reliable data on the nature of defects in oil and gas and chemical pipelines. nine0004

For more information, see the link RaDiaTech - digital radiography.

What is digital radiography?

Digital radiography (DR) is an alternative to traditional (analogue) X-rays that allows digital imaging. Among modern radiographic systems, there is a division that distinguishes two techniques that distinguish between indirect and direct digital radiography. Indirect imaging systems use a phosphor-coated memory plate that stores a latent image that can only be read later by a special scanner. In direct systems, a digital CCD or CMOS detector is used to detect radiation. The image of the tested element is displayed on the computer screen immediately after exposure. nine0004

Digital radiography applications

Digital radiography has a number of applications. It is used in all industries: chemical, oil, energy, food, electronics, automotive, etc. It works best in situations where:

  • Time to assess the quality of the item under test is key to the continuity of the manufacturing process,
  • nine0392 Evaluation results of the tested element are discussed with the client on an ongoing basis,

  • digital image should be sent to any email address in the world in a few seconds.
  • Benefits of digital radiography

Digital radiography replaces analog radiography. Its advantages:

    • precise selection of exposure parameters,
    • wide dynamic range of photographic plates and high exposure tolerance, which means that the need for repeated photographs is significantly reduced,
    • measurement accuracy,
    • shorter exposure time than conventional radiography and consequently lower radiation dose (which in turn is a benefit to the environment and the operator),
    • quick and easy access to high-quality images - the result of the check is obtained immediately after the translucence of the object, bypassing the stage of development of radiographic films, and with the help of specialized software, image quality can be improved,
    • The resulting image can be freely copied and sent. Standard computer software (.tif files) is sufficient to view a digital image of an overexposed object. Saving images in digital form allows you to present the results to a client located anywhere in the world.
