REGRESAN LAS HISTORIAS Y MISTERIOS AL TEATRO TAPIA

(martes, 18 de octubre de 2022 – San Juan, Puerto Rico) – A partir de este
viernes, 21 de octubre, la ciudadanía podrá disfrutar del evento Historias y
Misterios del Teatro Tapia, una experiencia interactiva, libre de costo, con la cual
se abre al público el icónico edificio del Viejo San Juan como parte de la oferta
cultural y de entretenimiento de la Ciudad Capital, informó hoy el alcalde, Miguel
A. Romero Lugo.

Como parte de la propuesta de entretenimiento, los guías turísticos del Municipio
de San Juan le ofrecerán al visitante un recorrido por el Teatro Tapia que se enfoca
en la historia y la exposición permanente del teatro llamada: Primero coliseo, luego
teatro municipal; hoy Teatro Tapia.

Simultáneamente, un grupo de actores estarán interactuando y personificando parte
de las leyendas, anécdotas y situaciones paranormales que se han suscitado en el
Teatro Tapia, uno de los teatros más antiguos en el hemisferio occidental. La
experiencia comienza desde la Plaza Colón, junto a un guía turístico que
continuará el recorrido dentro del teatro.

“Tras el éxito que tuvo la primera edición de las Historias y Misterios del Teatro
Tapia el año pasado, retomamos la iniciativa cultural y de entretenimiento este año
para el disfrute de todos los puertorriqueños y puertorriqueñas con nuevos
elementos que combinan un recorrido por nuestra historia y que invita al público a
conocer el Teatro Tapia, una joya de nuestro patrimonio y uno los teatros más
antiguos en el hemisferio occidental”, resaltó Romero Lugo.

Sobre la iniciativa, Romero Lugo indicó que la misma forma parte de una serie de
eventos que tiene programada su administración para atraer visitantes al Viejo San
Juan y apoyar al comercio local, siendo la cultura uno de los pilares de su
plataforma de trabajo como motor social, de desarrollo laboral y económico.

“Desde mi administración estamos enfocados en destinar esfuerzos para atraer más
público a nuestros lugares de interés turístico y cultural, con el propósito de
revitalizar la actividad económica la cual ha sido afectada por el fenómeno Fiona.
Invitamos a la ciudadanía a disfrutar de este gran evento que es para la familia,
producido por el talentoso personal de nuestra Oficina de Turismo, quienes han
trabajado esta pieza con esmero para el disfrute de todos nuestros visitantes”,
añadió Romero Lugo.

Historias y Misterios del Teatro Tapia inicia este viernes y se extiende hasta el 29
de octubre en los siguientes horarios:
● Viernes, 21 de octubre: 8:00 p.m.
● Sábado, 22 de octubre: 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m.
● Domingo, 23 de octubre: 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m.
● Viernes, 28 de octubre: 8:00 p.m.
● Sábado, 29 de octubre: 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m.

Historias y Misterios del Teatro Tapia está orientado a público mayor de 12 años.
Por presentar temas de suspenso, los menores que asistan deberán estar
acompañados de un adulto. El recorrido tiene una duración de 45 minutos.
