Beautiful place
Same I fall in love at first sight with my fiance, happens with Casa de España. We visit so many places around the area and this was the perfect, doesn’t need to much decor because the salon already give you a lot of architecture.

Beautiful Venue! Wouldn’t have changed anything!
The venue was very clean, the security was awesome and bartenders did a great job. We had our ceremony in the courtyard which was perfect. Our guests were amazed by all the character the venue had. Parking was awesome. The AC worked fantastic. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

The Casa de España was built in 1932 to act as the business front for a private civic and cultural organization. The organization was made up mostly of Spanish citizens who lived in Puerto Rico at the time and this is clearly reflected in the choice to make use of Spanish Moorish architecture.

The building was designed by Pedro de Castro, a Puerto Rican architect, who made good use of various elements of Spanish Moorish architecture in his design. Apart from the obvious architectural embellishments, de Castro also used towers, an interior courtyard gallery and a lot of colored tiles to complete his design.

The building has certainly served its purpose well as it is today still used as the headquarters of the organization for which it was originally built. This organization has played a large role in the preservation of the country’s Spanish cultural heritage over the years and its members today continue to be people of Spanish descent.

La Casa de España fue construido en 1932 para actuar como el frente de negocios para una organización cívica y cultural privada. La organización estaba compuesta en su mayoría de ciudadanos españoles que vivían en Puerto Rico en ese momento y se refleja claramente en la opción de hacer uso de la arquitectura morisca española.

El edificio fue diseñado por Pedro de Castro, un arquitecto puertorriqueño, quien hizo un buen uso de diversos elementos de la arquitectura morisca española en su diseño. Aparte de los obvios adornos arquitectónicos, de Castro utilizó torres, un patio interior y una gran cantidad de azulejos de colores para completar su diseño.

El edificio ciertamente ha cumplido con su propósito, ya que hoy todavía se utiliza como sede de la organización para la que fue construido originalmente. Esta organización ha jugado un papel importante en la preservación de la herencia cultural española en el país por los últimos años y sus miembros actuales siguen siendo personas descendencia española.
