The Atelier at Cocina Abierta is an interactive space for the development and enjoyment of what we love: Food, Wine and Spirits. Experience Atelier, the meeting point where the culinary enthusiasts come together to explore the world through it’s gastronomy. More than a school, it’s a laboratory of culinary ideas, an open kitchen that shares its secrets without limitation because we enjoy to cook.

Our classes provide an authentic “hands on” cooking worldwide experience, they are sure to be an unforgettable highlight of your vacation or part of your local entertaining options.

Classes are generally 2 hours long and  include: top professional private chef, tastings of prepared dishes, a welcome cocktail from our private bar, student apron, educational literature, top of the line cooking equipment and ingredients.

TEAM BUILDING

Looking for a team building event that combines cooking with communication, skill building and critical thinking? Our Culinary Challenges are slightly shorter team building cooking classes that economize on time but pack in all the cooking skills and fun! Guests are divided into teams that work together to create their culinary masterpieces. And, of course, once the cooking is finished everyone is invited to sit down, relax, and enjoy their culinary creations.

• People were right, the duck confit mofongo is delish. Although they said it is shareable, I ate it all. It was perfectly seasoned and well balanced. Great dish!

• Duck confit stuffed Mofongo was amazing! Delicious sauce and perfectly cooked duck made this dish moist and flavorful. And the Duo for dessert was equally delicious. Food and atmosphere perfect

• Everything! The duck was awesome in both dishes. Drinks great! Make sure you get dessert! also apparently they need a reservation there. We ate at the bar while the restaurant was fairly empty.

• The drinks were to notch. I had the short ribs and my wife had mofungo with duck. Both were outstanding but if we had to pick the short rib was just perfect!!

• Loved this place. Service was good. The duck tacos and Asian fried chicken dishes were amazing. My son had the scallops and tuna tartare and he said they were delicious.

• Chef argentino, influencias peruanas com ingredientes porto riquenhos make Cocina Aberta a fantastic glocal dinner set. Authentic and modern. Casual and sophisticated.

• The tuna tatake was amazing and so was the fresh fish which was red snapper served on a huge wooden tray. Fantastic combo of great food and presentation.

• You cannot go wrong with the duck confit mofongo. Wonderful menu. This time around we tried their restaurant week menu, it was amazingly good!

• The lamb chops in panko and the Venison are awesome #newmenu by @cocinaabierta Chef Martin Louzao

• Wow the pastry chef here really shines. The menus are always changing, almost weekly and she is so inventive while also being accessible and fulfilling.
