Puerto Rico Gay Pride takes place in the island’s capital, San Juan, every year in early June. The culmination of the event will be a colorful parade on the last Sunday of the festival.

Gay village parties

• The bars on Avenida Condado in the gay district of San Juan host parties and events during the week leading up to the pride march.
• The Santurce area is full of restaurants and nightclubs. Much of Pride’s activities are centered around La Placita, where you can check out the nightlife in the little bars that overlook the square.
• Queens: Puerto Rico’s largest gay and LGBTQ dance club is new to the area. (former bar Circo) close to the popular Santos on the rooftop side.
• Coqui del Mar Slot Machine Guest House Offers studios and fully furnished apartments with free Wi-Fi, free parking and a shared hot tub. This is one of the most popular gay friendly hotels in the city.

Pride Parade

• Sunday, June 4, 2023 – The main parade begins at Parque del Indio Condado, launching floats, groups, activists and queens down Ashford Avenue.
• Find a spot along the route to see colorful floats, people on stilts and roller skates, go-go dancers, drag characters and more.
• Stay close to the parade route at Ak Hotel Condado with a beautiful rooftop pool, spacious and stylish rooms and a warm gay friendly welcome.

Pride parties

• Sunday 4 June 2023 – The parade ends at Parque del Tercer Milenio, culminating in a large Pride stage rally and performances organized by the Colectivo Orgullo Arcoiris (Rainbow Pride Collective).

• Other events take place in the Escambron Coastal Park, where you will find a vast green lawn surrounded by vendors and a huge entertainment stage.
• The party doesn’t end after the parade on Sunday. Next week, most people head to Boqueron in the southwestern region for Cabo Rojo Pride, a unique beach pride event featuring 3 days of parties, parades and live performances in one of Puerto Rico’s most idyllic locations.
