Las fuertes precipitaciones aumentan los niveles de agua dentro de los ríos de Puerto Rico. De acuerdo al Servicio Nacional de Meteorología (SNM) en San Juan, esto se debe a las intensas lluvias registradas este miércoles, por la mañana.

Aumentan los niveles de agua en los ríos de Puerto Rico

Las fuertes lluvias provocaron el aumento de los diferentes ríos dentro de Puerto Rico. Incluso, el Río Fajardo ya se salió de su cauce, y se están tomando las medidas necesarias para prevenir futuras inundaciones. El Servicio Nacional de Meteorología de los Estados Unidos (SNM) en San Juan indicó que las precipitaciones que se registraron durante este miércoles, 26 de octubre, en la mañana, fueron las causantes.

Se esperan más precipitaciones

Lamentablemente, el Río Fajardo ya está fuera de su cauce, por lo que las autoridades piden que los habitantes cerca de la zona se mueva a regiones más altas y que busquen refugio.

El comunicado del Servicio Nacional de Meteorología decía lo siguiente:

“Varios ríos están corriendo a niveles altos (puntos amarillos) con el sensor de río para el Río Fajardo indicando que está fuera de su cauce (punto anaranjado). Las comunidades a lo largo de estos ríos, deberían considerar moverse a un lugar más alto”.

Las advertencias se dieron en repetidas ocasiones de la mañana para distintas regiones debido a la gran actividad pluvial que sucedió este miércoles.

Días llenos de lluvias

Se estima una lluvia excesiva, por lo que las autoridades indicaron que habría vigilancia por posibles inundaciones repentinas, los cuales podrían suscitarse hasta el jueves, por la noche. Los suelos saturados y destrozados dentro de las zonas del oeste y sur de la isla boricua podrían provocar deslizamientos en las zonas empinadas. Se espera que las temperaturas máximas estén en los 80° en los lugares cercanos a la costa y en los 70° en las áreas más altas. Las autoridades indican que los vientos podrían llegar a las 15 millas por hora. Estos se dirigirían al sureste, con ciertas variaciones de brisas marinas durante el día.

En los inicios de esta semana, Nino Correa, director del Negociado para el Manejo de Emergencias y Administración de Desastres (NMEAD), se dirigió a los residentes para que estén atentos a los diferentes comunicados acerca del clima, las lluvias y las condiciones ambientales, ya que estos son consecuencias de una onda tropical y las vaguadas, lo que afectará a Puerto Rico durante los siguientes días.
