2. Galería Petrus

La cercanía al histórico Viejo San Juan y el bullente Santurce hace que Miramar sea una vibrante área y la localidad perfecta para Galería Petrus. Ubicada en un contemporáneo edificio, Galería Petrus provee amplio espacio para la creatividad contemporánea boricua. Ha sido hogar de reconocidos artistas locales y, en su visionaria misión, busca darle espacio a la próxima generación de artistas de la isla. A esta iniciativa, le llaman el proyecto ‘Generación Reactiva’, un colectivo de artistas plásticos contemporáneos comprometidos con promover el arte. Si eres amante del arte contemporáneo, tienes que ver en San Juan la Galería Petrus, ubicada en el 726 Calle Hoare esquina Las Palmas en Miramar. También puedes disfrutar de sus colecciones en el área del Atrio Central de Plaza Las Américas.

3. Galería Botello

Reconocida por su amplia colección de tallados, Galería Botello exhibe y tiene en venta trabajos de artistas locales e internacionales. La galería está ubicada en el histórico Viejo San Juan y el edificio donde se alberga tiene más de 350 años. Esta exposición de arte en Puerto Rico incluye litógrafos, óleos y esculturas en bronce. No puedes dejar pasar la oportunidad de visitar esta galería, ubicada en el 208 de la histórica Calle del Cristo.

4. Biaggi & Faure Fine Art

Cerca del centro comercial más grande del Caribe, Plaza Las Américas, Biaggi & Faure Fine Art lleva dos décadas “esparciendo la magia” boricua a través del arte moderno y contemporáneo. Fuertes colores y pinturas que mueven el espíritu son la orden del día en esta galería de arte en Puerto Rico. Disfruta de estas exposiciones de arte en el 1035 de la Avenida Jesús T. 5. Espacio Emergente

Alianza Cultural para las Artes de P.R., Inc.

¿Quiénes somos?

Luego de la paralización de las artes y gestión cultural en Pueto Rico, tras el paso del Huracán María en el 2017, surgió la Alianza Cultural para las Artes de Puerto Rico, Inc. Víctor Manuel Vázquez Domench, el Dr. Grabriel Acevedo Magenst y esta servidora Jenny Cruz, nos dimos a la tarea de buscar formas para impulsar el arte en Puerto Rico. En ese entonces todos los municipios estaban cerrados tras el devastador paso del huracán. En el 2018 es el pueblo de San Sebastián, y su honorable alcalde Javier Jiménez, quien luego de escuchar nuestra propuesta nos abre las puertas para llevar a cabo la primera exposición colectiva a través de unos de los proyectos de la Alianza que se llama Arte con Conciencia, ya que invita a los artistas puertorriqueños a pintar sobre un tema propuesto de carácter socio-cultural. La exposición “Los Hijos de la Diáspora”, inspirada en los puertorriqueños que tuvieron que partir de la Isla luego de perderlo todo en el huracán, fue la primera gestión cultural y primera exposición colectiva en Puerto Rico con la participación de más de una veintena de artistas plásticos puertorriqueños y puertorriqueños en la diáspora luego del paso del fenómeno atmosférico. Esta muestra artística fue todo un exito. La seleccionada como obra emblemática fue la del artista Roberto Carlos Rosado del Valle. Hasta el día de hoy, con dos años ya de fundados, han pasado por nuestras exposiciónes más de 100 artistas puertorriqueños, entre estos artistas de trayectoria, artistas emergentes y estudiantes. Además de exposiciones individuales, presentaciones de libros y más. En aquel entonces quisimos devolverle la esperanza a los artistas tras la devastación sufrida. Hoy no es la excepción, inauguramos esta galería virtual dentro de una pandemia que nos mantiene a todos encerrados en nuestras casas dentro de un distanciamiento social para salvar nuestras vidas. En mayo 8 de 2020 sea parte de la primera exposición y gestión artística tanto en Puerto Rico como internacionalmente y no se pierda la exposición “Te abrazo en la Distancia” la cual expresará el sentir del artísta dentro de un toque de queda que nos asfixia pero nos salva…Jenny Cruz, Presidenta fundadora

Nuestro Propósito

Preservar la cultura y patrimonio puertorriqueño, abriendo espacios para dar oportunidad a artistas emergentes para su desarrollo en las artes. Preservando el conocimiento tradicional de los artistas y su trayectoria, haciendo intercambios educativos y culturales. Fomentamos el Acervo Artesanal puertorriqueño, la música autóctona, los juegos y jueguetes. Además preservar las artes escénicas y populares.

Dado a la reciente ola de feminicidios, alzamos la voz por las voces que ya han sido apagadas. No más violencia, no más feminicidios, ¡Ni una más, ni una menos! Estamos hartas, nos queremos vivas.

El arte postal nació en 1962 de una necesidad de comunicación, de pasar ideas, por el verbo y la imagen. Esta práctica da lugar a intercambios en los que se proclama la libertad total de la creación. En esta ocasión pintemos los demonios que nos afectaron en el 2020, digámosle adiós al enviarlos por correo y culminemos el año 2020 con una exposición que cierra un ciclo para dar la bienvenida al 2021.

Se convoca a poetisas para participar en la antología: “Poesía para estar vivas: Por las niñas de Borinquén”. l derecho de las mujeres y las niñas a vivir en paz y a salvo, nos mueve para hacer visible la voz de las mujeres y las niñas de esta tierra, presentando nuestra realidad. Las niñas son una de las poblaciones más vulnerables de nuestra sociedad. La negligencia a la atención de sus necesidades, la explotación, el abuso sexual, el maltrato emocional, la falta de oportunidades, las expectativas y los roles asignados por género son algunos de los aspectos a los que hemos sobrevivido para continuar la lucha por estar a salvo físicas y emocionalmente en las distintas etapas de nuestra vida. El deber de todos y todas de proteger, reconocer el valor y el respeto a la vida, a la dignidad, la importancia de reclamar el cese a las heridas más profundas de las niñas que inevitablemente crecen, se encarna en nuestros relatos poéticos. La antología que lleva por título: “Poesía para estar vivas: Por las niñas de Borinquén”. Será donada a la organización sin fines de lucro, Siempre vivas. Esto, con el fin de recaudar fondos para ofrecer servicios a mujeres.

“Fast art for justice” es una nueva iniciativa de Arte con Conciencia y a su vez una forma de denunciar a través de las artes esos eventos sociales que trastocan nuestras vidas. Siempre he creído en el arte y la palabra como agentes de cambio social. En esta ocasión “Flash Art for Justice: I can’t breathe” es en solidaridad al reciente incidente racial donde murió Gorge Floyd y a la situación que estamos viviendo de racismo. En Puerto Rico sí existe el racismo, invisivilizado, institucionalizado y de forma tan cotidiana que tal vez ni te das cuenta. Puedes enviar la foto de un dibujo, un sketch o de una pintura en la que expreses tu sentir con relación al tema del racismo. Esta expo siempre va a estar abierta, lo que cambiará será el tema según tengamos que denunciarlo a través del arte. Envía tu foto a [email protected], la exposición estará en la galería virtual de Arte con Conciencia. Se van a ir añadiendo las fotos según vayan llegando, no hay fecha de cierre. Exposición en conmemoración al Día mundial de la Salud mental que se celebra el 10/10/2020.
Las enfermedades de salud mental van incrementando en la Isla según vamos enfrentando nuevas catástrofes y nuevos retos. El suicidio es la culminación fatal de estos problemas de salud mental. Nos queremos vivos. Esta exposición es para concientizar con relación a la Salud Mental en Puerto Rico, lo importante que es gozar de una buena salud mental y levantar la voz por aquellos que necesitan ayuda y no pueden salir adelante. La primera edición de El color de mi oscuridad se llevó a cabo en el 2019 y fue todo un éxito. En este caso estaremos llevando a cabo la segunda edición.

La Alianza Cultural para las Artes de Puerto Rico, Inc. no discrimina por sexo, color, religión, raza, escolaridad, edad o preferencia sexual. Somos inclusivos. Pueden participar niños con problemas de aprendizaje o cualquier otra condición en la cual el arte le sirva de terapia.

Te abrazo en la distancia es la primera exposición tanto a nivel local como internacional dentro de la pandemia del Covid 19. En esta muestra los artistas plasmas en sus canvas su sentir en un toque de queda que nos asfixia pero nos salva. Hay que evitar todos los riesgos posibles al vender tu obra. Que no la copien. Los certificados de autenticidad es una manera de evitar riesgos.

¿Qué es plagio?

No debes usar el trabajo, las ideas, las palabras o el arte de otra persona como si fueran propias sin acreditar de manera explícita de dónde proviene la información. Cometer plagio es castigado por la ley.

Es importante saber otorgarle un precio justo a tus obras. Realiza un seguimiento preciso de los precios de materiale, mano de obra, etc. e incluiso si vendes a través de un agente o galería. Debes tener un salario por hora.

Where to find contemporary art in Puerto Rico – Look At Me

From time to time, the streets of the Santurce district in the city of San Juan (Puerto Rico) are flooded with young people. They look about twenty years old. They wear retro bastards, exclusive T-shirts and thick-rimmed glasses. This mob of dudes, attracted by the “Santurce es Ley” festival, has become commonplace in recent months in a sleepy, mostly working-class neighborhood that has been slowly falling into disrepair in recent years.

A 15-minute drive from the center of San Juan in Old San Juan, Condado and Isla Verde, Santurce, dilapidated dilapidated buildings are adjacent to fashion stores and old school bars. In recent years, the special old charm of these places and the construction of new modern and comfortable residential buildings have made these streets attractive to owners of art galleries, music halls and design studios.

This new creative slate of residents has infused Old San Juan and turned the depressing neighborhood into an arts hub. The best way to experience this creative atmosphere is the Santurce es Ley Festival, which gallery owners and artists put on every few months.

Steps away from the graffiti-covered alternative concert scene, C787 Studios (Calle Cerra 734; c787studios.com) is the center of attraction. For the last festival, the experimental design space covered its walls with T-shirts designed by artists from 17 countries. This gallery is one of seven that open well after midnight.

“Santurce is the perfect creative space,” says Angel Alexis Bousquet, founder of the festival and director of C787 Studios, which opened its doors to contemporary art lovers in late 2009. “Through art, I want to re-create the area.”

Some of Old San Juan’s creative corners are more reminiscent of New York’s Lower East Side than the Latin Caribbean. La Respuesta (1600 Avenida Fernandez Juncos; larespuestapr.com) – A bar decorated with posters of bands and superheroes, hosts exhibitions and provides a venue for local indie bands like Campo-Formio, Tach.dé or Fantasmes, a psychedelic rock quartet and recently performed in the Second Stage program.

Espacio 1414 (1414 Avenida Fernandez Juncos; 787-725-3899; espacio1414.org) is more fashionable, but no less creative. The gallery exhibits the private collection of the Cuban couple Berezdivin, passionate art collectors who make a significant contribution to the development of the visual arts of their island nation. Housed on three floors of a former warehouse, the collection includes rather provocative pieces by well-known contemporary artists, such as the work of the Argentinian Guillermo Kuitca whose poetic paintings are exhibited at the Tate Modern in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Or Colombian Carolina Caycedo, participant of Whitney Biennial-2006 and known for her social installations.

Creative installations presented the concept shop of the Swedish fashion design brand WeSC to the music of DJ Nature.

Santurce festival debutant – Petrus (726 Calle Hoare; 787-289-0505; petrusgallery.com). This gallery has existed since 2003 and has long been known among fans of contemporary art. It is difficult to pass by the entrance to it: it is marked by the sculpture Carmen Inés Blondet – large steel peaks sticking out of the ground.
