Jayuya

La época fresca es de noviembre a marzo con temperaturas entre 59 y 70 grados Fahrenheit. Conocido como “La capital indígena de Puerto Rico” es perfecto para los amantes de la naturaleza y el senderismo, pues aquí se encuentra el Cerro Punta, el punto más alto y probablemente más frío de Puerto Rico. Además, puedes visitar los senderos del Bosque Estatal Tres Picachos, Bosque Estatal Toro Negro o darte una vuelta por una de sus haciendas cafetaleras. La historia indígena taína se encuentra plasmada en el Museo Monumento El Cemí, entre muchos otros lugares de interés donde se pueden apreciar jeroglíficos y pinturas taínas.

Aún cuando la época fresca es de noviembre a marzo, enero es el mes más frío con temperaturas entre 66 y 80 grados Fahrenheit. Muchas compañías de ecoturismo plantaron bandera en “La ciudad del Viví” con una oferta de recorridos por los senderos del bosque y las corrientes del río Tanamá. Si prefieres un pasadía más pasivo, puedes tomar un paseo en bote por el Lago Dos Bocas o para una experiencia arqueológica, visita el Parque Ceremonial Indígena Caguana.

Orocovis

En el pueblo conocido como “El corazón de Puerto Rico”, por su localización, se empieza a sentir el frío en los meses de diciembre a marzo con temperaturas entre 62 y 77 grados Fahrenheit. Es famoso por su Ruta de La Longaniza compuesta por 30 restaurantes que preparan este delicioso embutido de diversas maneras. Además, es la casa de Toro Verde, parque ecoturístico para quienes aman el zipline, rappeling y cruzar puentes colgantes. No olvides parar en Casa Bavaria [Entre Orocovis y Morovis] por unas buenas cervezas frías, salchichas alemanas y una vista impresionante.

Se le conoce como “La Suiza de Puerto Rico”, cuya temporada fresca es de diciembre a mediados de abril, con temperaturas tan bajas como 48 grados Fahrenheit. Este pueblo, famoso por su Festival del Frío, cuenta con numerosos puntos de interés, como la hacienda de café Tres Ángeles, el Museo Casa Pueblo, el Bosque Estatal de Guilarte, el Puente Hamaca, entre otros. Además, cuenta con una amplia oferta culinaria que incluye la famosa pizzería El Campo es Leña, Hacienda La Holandesa, Hacienda Luz de Luna, el restaurante argentino familiar Hacienda MariBó, entre otros.
