Playa chica pero linda

No tiene el agua turquesa del Caribe ni la arena blanca, pero es agua cristalina y con una buena temperatura. Además tiene arrecifes para poder hacer un buen snorrkel. Tiene sanitarios y un pequeño bar..
No tiene reposeras, ni sombrillas ni mucha sombra. ..

El Escambron con alerta de tsunami

A pesar del la alerta de tsunami por el temblor en Puerto Rico visitamos la playa la cual está hermosa eso si el oleaje muy fuerte, bueno para los amantes del surf

tuvimos el cumpleaños de mi hijo en esta playa y pudimos disfrutar de un area limpia, segura y hasta hicimos snorkling y pudimos ver hermosos peces y vida marina maravillosa.

Ideal para nadadores!

Fuimos caminando desde el puerto de Cruceros bien temprano. Eran las 8 y encontramos mucha gente de San Juan que se preparaba para nadar, esa parte del agua se formaba una especie de pileta natural y habia boyas para que los nadadores pudieran seguir un recorrido. Muy buena!

Playa Escambrón (Escambrón beach)

Ubicado en la costa norte de Puerto Rico dentro de la ciudad de San Juan, la capital del estado. Es considerada una de las mejores playas de la isla debido a su conveniente ubicación, pintorescos alrededores y un acogedor arrecife de coral que protege la zona de aguas de fuertes tormentas y corrientes. En 2007, fue galardonado con la Bandera Azul de honor, que garantiza una excelente calidad del agua de mar y un alto nivel de servicio de playa.

Descripción de la playa

Escambrón es un verdadero rincón del paraíso tropical, armoniosamente adyacente a una gran metrópolis ruidosa. La costa es bastante ancha y larga, cubierta de suave arena dorada y rodeada de exóticos cocoteros. El mar es poco profundo y cálido, con una cómoda entrada gradual al agua. Hay un arrecife de coral a unos cientos de metros de la costa, que sirve como barrera natural contra olas fuertes, corrientes traicioneras y vida marina peligrosa. Por eso, en Escambrón puedes sentirte completamente seguro, además, la playa está bajo la supervisión de socorristas de 8 am a 6 pm. Los lugares para nadar están marcados con banderas verdes, después del anochecer está prohibido estar en el agua.

En Escambrón se pueden alquilar tumbonas y sombrillas, así como utilizar duchas, baños y vestuarios. Aquellos que deseen sentarse en sus propias toallas pueden encontrar fácilmente un lugar cómodo a la sombra de las palmeras o cómodamente en un césped en la parte este de la playa. Los fanáticos de los picnics en la orilla del mar pueden traer comida y bebidas, lo más importante es no encender fuego y dejar basura.

Una variedad de atracciones acuáticas, alquiler de equipos deportivos y otras actividades en la playa están disponibles para los visitantes. Puede nadar perfectamente con una máscara y hacer fotografía submarina: las aguas costeras están literalmente repletas de varios representantes de la fauna marina en la laguna. Para no lastimarse los pies en un arrecife afilado, debe cuidar los zapatos especiales, no se olvide de los protectores solares. Escambrón es una opción ideal para familias con niños pequeños. La playa forma parte del Parque del Tercer Milenio (Parque del Tercer Milenio) y está rodeada de una zona verde con pintorescos prados y sombreados callejones de palmeras. Ofrece a los visitantes numerosos restaurantes, bares y cafeterías, así como un parque de atracciones, un estadio y una variedad de parques infantiles.

La parte de la playa más conveniente para hacer snorkel es la oriental, en el área de la antigua fortificación Batería del Escambrón. El arrecife se acerca más a la costa aquí, y se puede bajar desde un muelle especial. Está cerca el centro de buceo Try Scuba Diving, que organiza emocionantes excursiones tanto para principiantes como para buceadores experimentados. La parte occidental del Escambrón es conveniente para surfear, aquí el arrecife está lo más lejos posible de la costa y no evita la formación de olas. Hay una escuela de surf, alquiler de tablas y equipo necesario, así como una pequeña tienda de artículos deportivos en la orilla.

¿Cuándo es el mejor momento para ir?

Puerto Rico es cálido durante todo el año, pero de mayo a noviembre, los huracanes a menudo vuelan a lo largo de la costa. Uno de ellos hace poco tiempo literalmente barrió del muelle, que apareció ante la cámara del famoso Despacito, y lo convirtió en una historia. También durante este período se caracteriza por el aumento de la humedad y mucha lluvia. El período más favorable es el tiempo de diciembre a abril. Puerto Rico se recomienda para unas vacaciones turísticas en estos meses.

Infraestructura

En la zona de la playa puede encontrar una gran cantidad de bares, restaurantes y cafés para todos los gustos y presupuestos. Los establecimientos más caros y pomposos se encuentran cerca del casco antiguo y la animada zona comercial de Condado, también hay cadenas de hoteles caras y villas de lujo.

Una de las opciones de alojamiento más atractivas en las inmediaciones de la playa es un hotel de cuatro estrellas Caribe Hilton , situado en primera línea a unos cientos de metros de la playa. En su vasto y pintoresco territorio, hay un magnífico jardín con macizos de flores en flor y césped de fantasía, una piscina de agua salada al aire libre, nueve restaurantes, una cancha de tenis, deportes y áreas de juegos, un spa y un gimnasio. Las modernas y confortables habitaciones están equipadas con balcones con vistas al mar, hay una salida privada a la playa, donde se pueden utilizar sombrillas y tumbonas de forma gratuita.

Se encuentran los restos del antiguo fuerte San Gerónimo de Boquerón a solo unas decenas de metros del hotel, a poca distancia de un parque de atracciones con restaurantes, bares y discotecas.
