Our expert guides will escort you on an adventure tour where you will have your adrenaline rush and learn about the local ecology and history of Puerto Rico at the same time.

What to Expect

This amazing adventure takes us to a rainforest, located 45 minutes south of San Juan near the city of Caguas. Caguas was host to some of the island’s most important sugarcane plantations providing employment to thousands of Puerto Ricans. Fields and plantations are still visible as we approach our destination atop a beautiful mountain range 2,000ft above sea level. The name “Caguas”, was derived from the famous Taino Indian chief “Caguax”, who taught the Spaniards all about tobacco plantations as well as other local fruits and harvests.

Once populated by the Taino Indians before the discovery of Puerto Rico, this land is abundant in natural beauty and resources. Located in the vicinity of the Carite Rainforest, El Salto is home to 49 species of birds, 15 species of amphibians (the Coqui being one of the main species), 12 species of reptiles, 7 species of mammals, and over 200 species of trees.

Our journey takes you on a series of exhilarating activities as we travel through this beautiful rainforest. You will get to hike and climb upriver using secured ropes, rappel 80 feet down the gorgeous El Salto waterfall to the bottom of a canyon, and zipline on 5 different ziplines as you enjoy a bird’s eye view of the forest and river. We will also give you the opportunity to relax and take a dip in some amazing crystal clear river pools and waterfalls. If you have ever wanted to journey deep into the heart of a tropical rainforest, this is the adventure for you.

After a full day of adventure, you get to sit down and enjoy a delicious Puerto Rican home cooked meal (ex. Rice, beans, meat, veggies, appetizers, etc.) served by a local family in a beautiful mountain setting. We also provide water and fresh fruit during the tour.

Our experienced guides will ensure your safety at all times, after all safety is our main priority. All of our equipment is certified and inspected on a daily basis to ensure maximum quality and performance. So come, join us, and experience Puerto Rico in a whole different way!
