104th AFBF Annual Conventionw
San Juan, Puerto Rico
The American Farm Bureau Federation is the nations’ largest general farm organization with over 6 million member families in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. The Annual Convention is an opportunity for members across the nation to come together for educational and networking opportunities. During this meeting our delegates will adopt policies for the coming year and elect leadership to guide these policies forward.   The AFBF Annual Convention offers a preview into the future of agriculture.  Through educational conferences, exhibitor seminars and technology, attendees will be given the opportunity to learn information that can be used in everyday life and experience what’s next in agriculture. Attending the AFBF Annual Convention provides unfettered access to Farm Bureau leaders, educational experts and corporate partners.

February 14, 2023 – VALENTINE’S DAY – Nationwide

March 25, 2023  Taste of Rums – San Juan, Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico National Rum Festival.  This is one of the biggest rum festivals in the world with over 3,000 attendees.  What to expect at the event:  A) Music: During the entire show we have live performances ranging from American Classic Rock tribute bands,  Spanish rock bands, Salsa bands, and batucada shows.   B) Rum: Taste of Rums is focused on promoting the local rum industry. Attendees will be able to enjoy over 12 different rum brands made in the island of Puerto Rico. 18+ locations (booths) will be pouring rum by either the local rum companies or by the staff of famous local bars.  C) Education: The event will have an educational tent. Master Classes will be offered thru out the day. (Limited space)   D) Arts & Craft: Local artists will be selling arts & crafts.  E) Food: Over 8+ restaurants will be selling food. Expect to pay around $6.00 per serving size.  D) Other beverages: Cold & hot beverages will be offered for hydration (Until it last).  Attendance: 3,000

June 9-11, 2017 – Fiesta Nacional del Mango – Mayaguez, Puerto Rico

This festival celebrates the mango with various recipe contests that use this fruit as an ingredient. There are exhibitions of varieties of mangoes, music by several bands, dance classes and more.

February 6-8, 2015 – Coffee Harvest Festival 2015
Maricao, Puerto Rico
Maricao celebrates “la toma de cafe” every year. The festival takes place in the plaza town and features folkloric music, crafts displays, typical cuisine and demonstrations of coffee preparations.

February 14-16, 2014 – Festival del Chapin 2014 – Naquabo, Puerto Rico
A festival featuring foods made using the traditional “chapín” (a local fish), a boat regatta and all kinds of contests.

February 21-23, 2014  Feria Agricola – Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico
This agricultural fair highlights the various crops produced in the area with plenty of music, exhibits and food kiosks.

March 8, 2014  Maratón de la Chopa – Toa Alta, Puerto Rico
Chopa fishing competition. The chopa is a freshwater fish found at Río La Plata in Toa Alta.

March 14-15, 2014  Festival de la China Dulce – Las Marias, Puerto Rico
An orange festival with different orange recipes, arts and crafts exhibitions and typical music.

March 14-15, 2014  Five Days with Our Land – Mayaguez, Puerto Rico
Cinco Días con Nuestra Tierra is an annual agricultural-industrial fair with product exhibits from large and small operations in the Island’s western region.

April 12-13, 2014  El Festival del Pueblo del Tomate
Juyuya, Puerto Rico
This town is known as the “Pueblo del Tomate” (town of the tomatoes). This event is a celebration of the tomatoes and includes music, games and food kiosks.

April 18-20, 2014  Festival del Apio – Barranquitas, Puerto Rico
Celery festival and farmers’ market with crafts and artisans.

May 24, 2014  Festival del Pescador – Fajardo, Puerto Rico
Fishing contests, troubadour contests, music by local groups, and food kiosks featuring foods from the sea.

May 30-June 1, 2014  Sugarcane Festival – Hatillo, Puerto Rico
A festival which highlights the traditional planting of sugar cane and its widespread use. Music, arts and parades are featured.

June 27-29, 2014  Feria Agricola de la Reserva del Valle
Lajas, Puerto Rico
This agricultural fair offers exhibits and sales of plants, animals, farm equipment and products. The festivities include music, food, a rodeo and a paso fino horse competition.

Fiestas de La Calle San Sebastián 2023
The annual Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastián in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a cultural celebration, a giant party! The four-day event features a parade that’s been called the Puerto Rican version of Mardi Gras, but also four stages of live musical performances and DJ sets, over 350 artisans, people selling food and drinks, and of course dancing and people watching.

The San Blas Half Marathon, which is held annually in the City of Coamo, Puerto Rico, is considered one of the most important Fondo events in the world. The race began in 1963. Mercado Ballajá
On the last Sunday of every month, there will be over 100 artisans selling their work at and around the Ballaja building in Old San Juan. Each one will have their own tent/space. Some will inside the Ballajá Barracks open courtyard, others are scattered around at the Plaza San José, in front of the ICP Cultural buildings (across street from Ballaja), the Plaza del Quinto Centenario (the totem area), the sidewalk around and Plaza de la Beneficencia.
