Every lost item has its own history and secrets. And Mario has a special talent – to reveal these secrets. One day he gets a suitcase with chilling contents. Starting to unravel this terrible puzzle, he goes to a human trafficking organization. Now Mario has to shed light on what is happening and uncover a whole criminal network.

Keeper of Secrets is a noir-tinged detective thriller with a complex, original, mysterious and unpredictable plot. The film was directed by three-time Goya Award nominee Jorge Dorado. He combined several subgenres at once in the film, creating a dark but atmospheric thriller, which, of course, could not do without a touching love story.

The viewer will meet a hero named Mario from the Lost and Found Office. He rarely interacts with people, preferring to “communicate” with objects. Over a long period of work, Mario has learned to learn stories and reveal other people’s secrets with the help of the most ordinary things.

“I liked to explore the noir detective genre, and with it the human consciousness and emotional environment of the main character of the film, an ordinary clerk who, against his will, had to become a detective. It is he who will accompany the viewer on a journey through the dark corners of the human essence, ”says the director of the film, Jorge Dorado.

The role of the recluse Mario, whose life has changed after a terrible discovery, was played by Alvaro Morte. The actor gained worldwide popularity thanks to the success of the series “Paper House”, where he played the role of a Professor with brilliant mental abilities. In the film “Keeper of Secrets”, the hero Alvaro Morte received another unique ability – to learn the secrets of people with the help of things that they possess. “Mario is a guy who tries to fix old and unwanted items. He is an introvert. His relationship with things that fall into his hands is much more comfortable than with people. But Mario doesn’t understand that the first thing he has to repair is himself,” says Alvaro Morte, the lead actor.

“The film could not ignore a number of important issues that exist in our world. Individualism is becoming more and more common, but some problems can be solved only by uniting. It is time for society to look at these problems and try to make the world a better place,” adds Alvaro Morte.

Keeper of Secrets is a large international project co-produced by Spain, Argentina and Germany. Now a little about the novelty from Russian filmmakers: THE HEART OF PARMA (16+) Based on the bestseller of the same name by Alexei Ivanov. Parma is flat-topped hills and ridges in the Northern Urals, covered with spruce and fir forests. In a word, parma is taiga. And since “parma” is not a proper name, it should be written with a lowercase letter.

But Parma with a capital letter is a synonym for Great Perm.

Prince Mikhan was born in pagan taiga lands where shamans made bloody sacrifices to ward off dark spirits and maintain balance. Here he met the one in which – all the beauty of the world and the power of the lamia witch. The one with whom the laws forbid him to be. This love will forever change the fate of Meehan and his native parma. He has to fight, protecting his world from evil fate and from those who come with a sword in search of wealth and new lands.

Anton Megerdichev, director: “I haven’t read anything like The Heart of Parma, I can’t even compare it. I wanted to shoot this movie – a big epic drama – so that it had a very strong line of love. Love that is capable of self-sacrifice. Our heroine Tiche renounces immortality, magical gifts, renounces the huge formidable force raging in her – for the sake of her love for Prince Mihan. Our cinema is a great drama of passions, the characters are tested for humanity, loyalty, friendship and, of course, love. And we tried to convey this in every frame, in the powerful force of passion and even in the hard action of battle scenes.

Sergei Bodrov, screenwriter: “Alexey Ivanov wrote a wonderful novel! We met and talked to him. I told him that the whole novel would not fit on the screen, it would have to be cut. So I wrote a script for 2 hours and 15 minutes. Oddly enough, the writer liked the script. Filming was difficult. I watched the unfinished film and realized that the work was difficult … Congratulations to the creators! The original title of Alexei Ivanov’s novel is Cherdyn, the Princess of the Mountains. Under the title “Heart of Parma”, the book was first published in 2003, that is, next year marks 20 years since the first publication. The novel “The Heart of Parma” brought Alexei Ivanov all-Russian fame. Filming of the film “Heart of Parma” lasted from July 2019to March 2020 and were held in the Moscow region and the Perm region.

On the territory of the geological natural monument Kholodny Log, a unique complex was built, which includes an 84-meter wooden fortress, a temple, cells of the monastery hill – everything, as it was in the city of Cherdyn in the 15th century. The large-scale decoration of the “Heart of Parma” – “Cherdyn” – was donated to the administration of the Gubakhinsky urban district. The scenery was turned into a picturesque observation deck. The medieval city, rebuilt in the suburbs, included residential huts, shopping arcades, and churches. Builders, production designers and decorators worked on this decoration for almost 8 months. During the filming of the block near Moscow, nature prepared an unpleasant surprise for the project team: despite the calendar winter, there was no snow at all. The props, camera ingenuity and, at the final stage, computer graphics came to the rescue.

The film is distinguished by the high level of detail in the everyday life of the 15th century and the richest ethnographic factography. Shamans, translators into the Komi-Permyak, Old Tatar and Mansi languages, as well as historians studying the culture and religion of medieval peoples were involved in the filming.

Prop artists collected old household items all over Russia. Very valuable and perfectly preserved artifacts were found in Murmansk, the Vologda and Arkhangelsk regions. The casting of actors in “The Heart of Parma” went on for more than a year, according to director Anton Megerdichev, “a very large range of actors” was auditioned. For Elena Erbakova, the role of Tiche is her film debut. Elena Erbakova, together with a teacher, taught the Mansi language. During the scenes in this language, consultants were present on the set, who carefully monitored the intonations and melody of speech, helping to accurately convey emotions.
