Madrid chooses between Pochettino and Raul for him.

The Creamy changed their strategy after it became known that Max Allegri had been appointed Juve head coach. This has meant that Madrid do not need to rush, and there is time to consider all possible options and decide on a future head coach. As it became known to AS, the favorite of the club’s management is the current PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino. He has always been highly rated among the Madrid management due to his philosophy and what he has already managed to show as a head coach. In 2018, when Zidane left the Royal Club for the first time, Madrid wanted the Argentine to take over the club, but at that time he only extended the contract with Tottenham, which put an end to the hopes of the “creamy”. Now that Pochettino’s position at PSG is less certain, the club has begun to show more interest in the Argentine. But if the Pochettino option doesn’t work out in the end, Madrid have a backup plan in Raul. At Madrid, they believe that someday the club’s legendary Seven will get their chance, but would prefer not to rush into his appointment. However, at the moment, the situation is as follows, the choice is between these Pochettino and Raul.

Obviously, Madrid do not want to formally negotiate with a manager who has a valid agreement with any club. Especially if this club is PSG, with which Florentino has a very good relationship. Also, given the interest in Kylian Mbappé, no one wants this good relationship to be ruined. This is clear to all actors.

Pochettino himself now has the floor. Madrid understands that it will not be easy to lure him away from PSG, but there is also information that further details may appear next week if the coach himself informs the Parisians of his desire to leave. And this will be the only opportunity for Madrid to move forward in negotiations with the Argentine, so the Club is ready to wait. Also, the “creamy” do not miss the fact that Pochettino has a very good relationship with Mbappe, which could be a big plus if they both end up at the Bernabeu.

But Real Madrid are not alone in their desire to sign the current PSG manager – his former club, Tottenham Hotspur, are also keen to bring Pochettino back under their banners. Spurs president Daniel Levy has already been in contact with the Argentine about his return. Given that he is well acquainted with the London club, this could play an important role in choosing an Argentine specialist.

Throughout the week, the media also actively discussed the candidacy of Antonio Conte, who left Inter after winning Serie A gold medals. However, according to AS, the Italian specialist, with whom the “creamy” contacted and discussed a possible appointment, lost quotes from the leaders ” Madrid”. The reason was his team management methods, which, according to the club, go against the philosophy of Real Madrid. However, the club has not yet put an end to Conte’s candidacy.

In any case, the future of many managers will be linked with Madrid in the coming days, and the club does not want to immediately refuse any of the candidates. The main goal is to calmly and slowly consider all the options available and choose the one that is best suited to build a new Real Madrid.
